Nicholas Joseph-Francis Eubanks foot work wasn’t the issue to be honest.... his lack of a jab was the issue.... he thought uppercuts and hooks will win ever fight
Intellect123 Sorry but footwork was the main issue, everyone who's been taught to box properly knows that footwork is the fundamental base on which everything else is built. He also has no jab, that was problem number 2. Footwork was the main thing though - it determines balance and distance from your opponent. It's why Eubank Jr was always swinging off balance with punches, something I noticed he did from the start of his career. Someone with footwork knowledge can always keep someone without it off balance and counter them. He never learnt footwork properly because he had a short amateur career and was arrogant enough to think he could train himself.
Jeez, how long ago was this!? Seeing as he left the Hayemaker stable in 2011, we can guess at least 7 years. How about something from 2018, Groves is on top of the world now.
I've been taught the exact opposite--if you wanna move left, you push off your right leg and vice versa; to move back, push off your front leg and vice versa. I'm not trying to start an argument, I'm just saying I've been told different.
@@theleftbollock3214 just curious ,this has been quite a while now. Since two weeks ago, there are some times when my lateral knee (the outer side of my knee) has a slight pain , the feeling is as if I open my knee too much and it's gonna snap kind of feeling. This ONLY happens when I'm doing the bouncing pendulum step during boxing training. Could it be that I injured my knee while landing ? Is this a serious injury ?
Don’t matter good footwork is good footwork. Even though Pernell Whitaker and Ali would cross their feet using lateral movement, you should still set an example.
Hes trying to say dancing like loma is no good for pros. Best footwork is Mikey Garcia. Watch zlaticinin ko the way he uppercuts moves 90° while zlaticinin bounces into the ropes back round 45° as dejan turns around he hits him so hard he looked like he was dead. Shame is Mikey aint hit knowone like that since.
Jeff Goldbloom spot on, Froch did absolutely wallop him but as you say, Groves was robbed by the ref and that awful "stoppage" in the forst fight. Worst robbery and worst refereeing decision I have ever seen.
God you're all wrong. Except for the balance aspect, sort of. You can keep balance with your front foot in a variety of angles. If you want to know why, Google it.
Yeah you're right theres no point in learning this, basic footwork fundamentals are useless. They need to delete this video and stop teaching boxers footwork since Froch completely debunked the myth that footwork is needed.
A video about 'perfect footwork'.... and they show a video clip from Khan Vs Peterson.... one of the worst displays of footwork in boxing history (from Khan, not Peterson).
For me Pacquiao has the best footwork because his doing it all the time for whole 12 rounds.. But Pacquiao footwork is very different a one of kind footwork because he likes to go to the blind side of his opponent not in straight lines...Pacquiao footwork is very very wierd because he has his own angle...
Superb demostration Mr.Groves, much respect..
Can someone please send this to Eubank Jr

Loooooool
Everything was the issue, no gameplan, only came forward, only went for big fight ending shots, no jab.
Lucas Maximus he has good footwork look at his outher fights u dumby just because one fight he was wild and the weight difference was mad
Groves is a stud..Its also interesting to me his stepping I was taught "basically" that, but a slight variation. Top job George !

Leon Anderson - TH-cam wasn't as popular back in 2011 as it is now.

Ringside: Boxing fundamentals
Re the tip for when your back is to the ropes, I wish he'd thought to do that in the Froch rematch....
Eubank Jnr should have uploaded a video of how not to use your feet....
I've been taught the exact opposite--if you wanna move left, you push off your right leg and vice versa; to move back, push off your front leg and vice versa. I'm not trying to start an argument, I'm just saying I've been told different.
Well if you move left and push off your right, you still move your left leg first
I know
Is it true that you have to stay on your toes at all times ?
Yes, you don’t have to be bouncing on them but you should have your weight on them

Is this a serious injury ?
Alex Ong I’m not sure but you should definitely get it checked out by a doctor, as it could progress into a more serious injury
Well shit George
"or attack if necessary!"
who writes these intros?
What if you have two left feet?
Can someone please send this to groves
If you want good boxing gloves check out Tetro Uk on ebay honestly the best quality gloves I’ve ever brought
Notice at 3:25. He does exactly what he tell us not to do.
His opponent would have been in front of him in that situation...

@@lbishop0811 he didn't cross his feet compared to his imaginary opponent...
@@lbishop0811 to be honest if you are out of distance and quick enough then it is ok to cross your feet once in a while
Wait a minute... This isn't a slam dunk tutorial.

I say push off the back foot stop with the left one motion he makes this two steps just saying
My boxing coach would tell me off for doing this stance because his legs are not wide a part they are behind and in front of each other
All I can hear is Froch saying he knocked this guy out at Wembley in front of 80,000 fans
Vasyl lomachenko
Double G
Undefeated? You were defeated you f......I'm kidding, Groves is cool, great boxer and very skilled
Should have listened to his own advice in the second Froch fight.
Jeff Goldbloom spot on, Froch did absolutely wallop him but as you say, Groves was robbed by the ref and that awful "stoppage" in the forst fight. Worst robbery and worst refereeing decision I have ever seen.
Jeff Goldbloom he sure did..caught him square and it was only Frochs chin and fitness kept him in it.
Wy do boxers have their lead foot at an angle? (Not perfectly perpendicular to the rear foot)
Ruisleipae01 balance
No balance. No power
Dan L Yea but in muitai one uses perpendicular front fot i belive to check kicks. But maby one reson it's to not be so squared up.

Cur wait til he smokes hype job callum smith
That didn’t go to plan
I'm trying to think of a British boxer with cleaner footwork than George Groves....
Didnt work against froch who arguably has the worst feet in the world🤔
Yeah you're right theres no point in learning this, basic footwork fundamentals are useless. They need to delete this video and stop teaching boxers footwork since Froch completely debunked the myth that footwork is needed.
Pacquiao should have done the demo
step 1:
develop monstrous calves
British accent there...

Isn't he crossing his legs at 3:40?
jerry s not quite
Thats called the pivot in or inside pivot you have to cross your front leg very rapidly in order to pivot
In my opinion George Groves isn't the best person to learn footwork from. Maybe get Triple G or Roman Gonzalez to teach it.
ın my opinion you should shut the fuck up
Phantom 94 couldn’t say it better
