- Had a chance to check out a Jacksonville staple! I've got to admit. It was delicious and I see what all the fuss is about. I'll tell you one thing though, those chicken wings are a complete 8 out of 5! LOL

I love the fact that she didn’t speak anything negative about Jenkins, she also gave credit where it was due. Curly fries in the bag is the best to me #duvalhistory
Neither is good, unless you like some of the toughest bbq around and they want you to lather in sauce to cover up the lack of flavor in the meat
Their actually called Curly Q's and have the consistency of a noodle. Curly fries are stiff

Thank you Sir for the time & consideration in sharing this info. I'm a Jacksonville native/resident. My mom & auntie (sisters) had a beauty shop across the street from Holly's for years. The last time I had their BBQ, I was a young girl. I will be returning soon. I really enjoyed the reference to how we as a people once supported each other, before integration. I'm a fan of Jerome Brown's BBQ but since I'm also a fan of good customer service, I cannot go during lunch/day hours.👌🏽❤️🙏🏼

Darius from the hood born and raised, west side of Chicago. He kept saying, it’s in the hood. Best restaurants are in the hood. You decided to opened yours outside of the hood. She had a great concept order at the window and go.
Curly Cues from Holley's must be in the bag with the sauce...that's the way to eat them. Born and raised in Jacksonville, haven't been to Holley;s in years! It's definitely a hood spot! But good food is good food no matter where it is

Never disappoints, been on them curly fires since the truck used to come through the Blodgetts in the 80's the taste aint changed and the sauce gotta be in the bag on the curly cues!!!

When was station in Kansas City Missouri people were saying that they had the best bbq ribs... don't get me wrong they were good....but when we got station at NAS Jacksonville and ate at Holly and they ribs...hands down were the best bbq ribs I ever ate....and those curly fries I couldn't get enough of them and it was another place that had good ribs also but I can not remember the name. This was in the early 90s. Their food still is good now!?. that's a place that needs to go down in the hall of Fame.

You got to mix the mild with the sweet and tangy but honestly Oak and Smoke on corner of Lem Turner and Soutel he usually only cook Friday and Saturday nights and all he do is meat only sometimes he even has beef ribs it’s a Used car lot during the day

I'm from Palatka Fla and lived in Duval for 5 yrs. I've tried Holley's and Jenkins Bar BQ. I hate Jenkins mustard sauce. Holley's is #1 in my book🔥🔥🔥🔥

Holeys is better than jenkins. Jenkins was the top about 20 years ago
I haven’t been there since the father went to prison for messing with those young girls when he had the food truck and would be by the old Blodgett apts. At that time I was very young myself and I know some of the girls here molested….
