Hi Chad and thanks once again for the great content! I just wanted to say that I started playing the alto sax in junior high school in the early 70's and continued through high school but stopped playing in 1978. However thanks to the internet, youtube and people like yourself and Jay Metcalf over at Better Sax i am once again taking up the horn. I'm trying my best to take on Charlie Parker, ha ha! I would say to anyone who reads this is that you are never too old to either take up the instrument or re-start your love of it. Heck I'm over 60 and if I can do it anyone can. I have a number of your pdf's and also taken you articulation masterclass. I just can't thank you enough that you take the time to put together just great content and hope everyone understands how valuable these lessons are...!!! Best Regards....:)

I have a degree in music education and am a band teacher. I play jazz gigs on the side but my practicing has been stagnant for several years. Your videos and ebooks have breathed new life into my saxophone practicing! I just downloaded the pentatonic master class and this has been a game changer for me. Your video tips about how you practice have also taken my practice time to another level!

Great content - not only Chad's teaching but also the production (Austin?). I used to play a lot in my twenties (long time ago), then went into another professional direction and hardly touched my sax. I decided to pick it up again a few months ago and was looking around for some material i could use as a guideline. I was blown away by what i found in general, but Chad's material (i use this channel, but also acquired some of the material from the web site) is by far the best for me. Now i wonder how far i could have gone with with such easy access to teaching 30 years ago. But mainly, i just enjoy playing again, learning tunes and try to apply some of the material to my playing - although at a fairly low level. Of course i hope for Chad and his band to go touring soon again. I know that means less frequent posts here but happy to trade that for a chance to see him live.

Thanks so much for sharing all the incredible material! I'm a pro guitarist and have been playing forever (it would seem). I've studied and played with many different teachers and players, so I've learned a lot over the years. But I must say, I've learned more from just one of your videos than I did in years of trying to work this stuff out. I couldn't begin to convey how grateful I am that you are sharing these great techniques that we can practice right now. Most folks like to talk theory, but all the theory in the world by itself won't make a great player. To be able to apply these concepts immediately, in real time, is golden. I look forward to watching all your videos. Cheers, mate!

Hi Chad! Maby you could do a Video on how to interact with a Rythm Section in general/ my specific question would be what to do (when you Solo) when the Rythm Section (on their own) 1. goes outside of the Harmony, and 2. if the Rythm Section does „Rythmik Shifting“ like 3 over 4 or 5 over 4 (how to not get lost/keep time).

I have no idea what he's talking about and find it really hard to grasp (probably just me), I've never been good with theory at all, my brain just tunes out because eventhough he may think he's explaining it easily to me I can't grasp it...
