I feel like when men go on a first date we've either already decided we're definitely interested in the girl even if it's our first time meeting in person or we're so focused on getting her to like us. That makes us think "What happened!?" if she doesn't want a second date. I feel like women see a guy they're going on a first date with as someone who they feel they could potentially be interested in and the date is a chance to try to build chemistry and to find out if they might really be interested and attracted. I think to women coffee dates might give the vibe of "no pressure let's just meet in the middle of the day and talk a little to see if we MIGHT be interested." I don't think that's a bad thing I just don't think we should be surprised ever when a woman isn't interested after a first date.
Personally, I always loved coffee dates. it's definitely a date but less pressure for us too - we know you're not spending a lot on us and so if we don't make out with you, we won't feel as bad. (Many women, not me, I never felt bad about that. 😂) Also they can be fairly short, so if there's no chemistry, we can be out sooner than dinner.
FWIW I went on a coffee date and a long walk with my current boyfriend of over a year. Of course we'd already spent about 6 hours on the phone. Drink dates are basic and lame. You shouldn't get too excited over a first date with a stranger. Putting heavy expectations on meeting a stranger is how it goes poorly.

I had lot of coffee dates, I also had this feeling of being too friendly - and not hot - which I agree is the walk-coffe date vibe, but whatever, the guys still wanted to see me again, so it's perfectly fine. And bars are too loud sometimes, it's hard to find a good one.

@@esikazemese you won't find it in a grocery store, but lots of people eat beaver. Same way you don't find deer venison commercially. Its also is used in several dog food recipes.
