It’s funny that Juicy J in his new memoir actually claims the EXACT SAME THING. He says he went as The Notorious Juicy J in the early 90’s and that he too used the Juicy Fruit instrumental on one of his mixtapes. I don’t know where in Mississippi that B1 is from but Memphis ain’t as far from Mississippi then they are to Brooklyn. I can turn around and say B1 heard what Juicy J was doing when and stole from him. The Notorious BIG had been using the name Notorious Biggie Smalls and B-I-G since 1991 BEFORE he met Puffy or was even a recording artist. You know how many rappers back in the day called themselves “Ice” in some form or fashion? Biggie called himself Notorious like a few others and it’s a problem NOW huh? Biggie also called himself Big Poppa in 1992 on the Dolly My Baby remix. Producer Pete Rock says Puffy got the idea to sample Juicy Fruit from him and he was later paid to do the remix. Puff got permission from James Mtume himself to use the song and that’s what matters. It’s pretty well known that Biggie did not want to rhyme over that beat. If there’s a chance Biggie heard it, he was trolling so good he did it better than B1 did. Pac supposedly got Dear Mama from a guy named Damion The Demon Seed who had a song called Dear Momma in 1993. Pac made the more memorable song even if he copied. Let’s be honest, Big Daddy was a throwaway song and it would have done absolutely NOTHING if released to the masses in 1993. Biggy Smallz sued Biggie and he changed the name. If B1 felt he had a case he would have sued but he DOESN’T. He just didn’t and don’t have the bread and that’s ok but don’t go crying on the internet years later about it. There was an actual motion picture out there called NOTORIOUS and buddy STILL didn’t try to get his money!!🤔 Literally MILLIONS are on the line. Go get your bread Notorious Juicy B1.
