Wow! It looks so easy when you do these DIY projects. This would be great for my big knives & then I could use that extra space for all my pairing knives, if my drawer is big enough like yours. You made a project that this disabled women might be able to handle. Some of your other projects I could probably handle to to be honest. Just scared to try & fell @ it. I might also ask my Mom if she wants one since her birthday is in March. When I was younger I liked making things for people that wasn't store bought. Your making something from your heart as a gift & I think that's special IMO. Thanks again Ana for your wonderful ideas, Chris from Missouri
This is genius. I know you want us to do this ourselves, but I am sending this video to my local wood worker, and after he finishes our Knock Box for the Espresso Machine, this is next!! Thanks.
Thank you for this video and the clear directions. Just a tip, instead of marking on the saw the length of the cut you can use a spring clamp and clamp a small block of wood to the length the pieces should be.
LOVE this so much! I just made one - using 1x2s, since my knife handles are narrower than yours, and my kitchen drawers are SMALL. I have very limited woodworking skills, and I was able to whip this up in under an hour. Thanks for the tutorial :)
Milk And Honey Acreage No kidding! Lived in Anchorage for 7 yrs in the military back in the 70’s and so want to go back there for good and have her design plans for a small home for me. Always love her and hubbys clean simple lines and oh so beautiful at the same time!!!
Ana, Just wanted to let you know, I think your channel is great! You and your husband have inspired me in so many ways. My daughter needs a bed frame, so I downloaded your design for the farmhouse style bed frame and will be making it shortly. She will also be needing a kitchen table so I will be making one of those as well. Keep up the great work and thank you again!
@2:36 the styrofoam under the circular saw 🤯 does this effect the dullness of your blade? I’ve been struggling with not having a mitter saw or table for cutting my smaller pieces of wood… and want to know if this works without messing up the blade
I've seen other TH-camrs glue things down with wood glue, but just before sticking the parts together, they put a little CA glue (Krazy Glue) in there. The CA glue sets immediately and holds the parts together while the wood glue dries.
I have the ryobi nail gun you are using. Have you ever had issues with it STOP ejecting the nail but makes the sound like it did eject it? I’ve tried cleaning it well and blowing out dust.
I want to make this organizer! I also want to make a storage box for my oversized grill tools because my tongs are too long and the spatula is to wide for the draw.
Hello. Love this idea! I will do it this weekend! Is it possible to put the measurement in centimeter or meter too on your plans? it's very tricky when you are european to do with inch. Have a nice day. cloe
Ana, great idea and I really do like it. I have just one concern as to not putting a finish on the wood. One has to admit no one knows where the wood you used has been and who handled it before you got it. I can understand not finishing the wood but maybe if you did a little bit with the surfaces that contact the knives at least would be beneficial. Sorry I threw some shade on what is really a great idea. Great stuff.

I really love this because I don’t like having anything on my counters even a knife block. Thanks! ❤️
I totally agree!!!
Nice and simple but very useful. Great tip about keeping your finger a nail + distance away from the nail gun.
Very nicely done 👍😊 looking forward to seeing the next one. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and videos Rodney

Thank you! I needed a simple solution!

This is my go to method and the foam will last for years! I haven't noticed an issue with dulling the blade, just set it so it barely goes in.
The styrofoam won't dull the blade anymore than the wood will. It's a fairly common technique.
Love it! Don’t even need the nailer ladies if your patient can just use glue

Nice and practical, hey any update on that simple house build?
It’s been the coldest winter up here, hoping we can finish it come March or april
Simple and works great! It Prolly took longer for the glue to dry then was to make it.lol

Love your projects, what's going on with the new workshop that was started a few months ago.
thanks for your ideals . there amazing. do have a fork & spoon drawer organizer. if so can u send it to me. thanks
This may help www.ana-white.com/woodworking-projects/diy-drawer-divider
ANA,...can you give us an update on your brother log cabin you two were working on. The last episode was - digging down for a walk out basement...
I want to make this organizer! I also want to make a storage box for my oversized grill tools because my tongs are too long and the spatula is to wide for the draw.
Awesome, thanks for watching!
When did you change your cabinet faces from inset?
Nice. Thanks.
Good job
Thanks:)

What a great idea, Ana - but then, you have them regularly, I guess! Lol

I was thinking the same thing. Great idea and great application but maybe some food grade type finish on it and it’d be perfect.
Will you build a titling trash can storage system?
We have done this in the past, here’s one www.ana-white.com/woodworking-projects/wood-tilt-out-trash-or-recycling-cabinet
Thanks!!
You bet!
Great ideas winners Los Angeles
