This plugin makes those specific frequencies louder and more present so that makes sense! I should make a video that’s level matched for y’all. It’s a great plugin.
The brightness this introduces to vocals is so pleasing to the ears its like magic. Definitely not the same as boosting your highs on any o'l eq. I've also compared it to numerous other plugins that will increase the "treble" of whatever you are applying it to, but there is just something in this damn plugin that feels so damn good to the ears.. even when you crank the heck out of it. Slap this on your vocals with smoothe2 right after and you have Grammy quality vocals faster than you can say badabing-badaboom.

great plugin..normally im always a bit careful with stuff you get for free, but this is fuckin great! love it, it gives my vocals a lot of crisp and clearity..but in the same moment it makes them warm somehow. thanks 😍🔥🔥

Just tried it out...in extremely happy with it. I love plugins that wow me and win me over in the first 4 seconds of usage , just by slightly moving one knob. The beautiful smoothness it brings to one instrument or on a whole mix is astonishing. Changes are subtle yet noticable. The name of the plugin fits correctly. install process keeps asking for a "license to activate"... any help?
I got the same message too. You apparently need an iLok Cloud, and you have to be signed in to the iLok Cloud if you want to use the plugin. I don't like using cloud services because it seems like a convenient way for these people to try to steal your music. I'll pass on this plugin. Also, this plugin emulates the Dolby A trick, which is available in plugin format from other companies as well.
I also was unable to activate it yesterday, but maybe the authentication server was overloaded. I uninstalled the plugin (I used the VST2 version) and reinstalled it today. iLok Cloud authentication now worked fine. You need a free account from ilok.com and the iLok License Manager software, but no iLok USB dongle is needed for Fresh Air. Hope this helps!

Nice plugin. Works well with FL Studio but does not show up on Cubase. Any hint on what I can do to use the plug in on cubase.

I believe the meter is just a db meter to tell how many db your vocal is at.

Its a truly remarkable plugin. However, do not use it to add crisp to a vocal that already has high end boost. Use it to add the crisp to the vocal alone. Dont use it in conjunction with another plugin.

At first I was like, wow. Then I realized how dull the vocals were to begin with. I don't think you'd mix vocals that dull. Not only that, but real mixing or mastering technicians don't rely on magic plugins to do real changes. Clearly, this a harmonic exciter. Waves and PA have awesome tools that do this manually. It seems this is geared for the new generation that relies on processors with knobs labeled with onomatopoeias.
Who said this is magic plugin. Who said sound engineer doesn't rely on magic plugins.. Just go away if you don't like it
@@driftingmelodies Your comment tells me, you don't understand my point. First off, what you call a sound engineer, is a technician. Real engineers have degrees. Most of you guys don't deserve such a title. Trust me. Secondly, I never said this plugin was not with it. I think it's important to know how to get this effect manually. Anyway, take your comment, and "pack your bowl" with it...Mr. Sound "Engineer."
The plugin's emulating what engineers used to do with a modded Dolby A Noise Reduction Encoder module..

Question so in your vocal chain where is the best place to place this plugin beginning or the end of your vocal chain? And on your mix bus ?
Before the compressor (which should be the last element in a vocal chain) and after everything else. In the mix bus, before the limiter and the master suite (if you use one), and after everything else

He says at the top of the clip. He just inserts the plug-in after all of the other vocal processing. You can place it anywhere in the chain you want if it sounds good to you. Or run it in parallel.

It sounds great but you realise many people delete it or never install it due to being ilok which sadly a lot of people don’t like.

Not sure why my abelton can't find this vst after I downloaded it and installed it.
Go to your preferences, go to custom vst 2 or vst 3 folder and set it to your Slate digital folder on your HD. You'll find it at: (Your main HD, Audio, Plugins, VST, Slate Digital). Then re-scan your plugins again.
How do I open it up on logic😊
This plugin is compatible with Logic! You'll just need to ensure you download the installer and you may need to rescan this in the plugin manager! If you have any issues our support team will be happy to help.
