@Exotics Lair Hey, I just found your videos not to long ago and have been going through your catalog; they are great, fun to watch and well done plus i can see how well you care for them. While I probably would not keep tarantulas myself (or scorpions for that matter), I have looked at getting turtles possibly as a second pet (have two cats currently).
I got my first tarantula (south american pink toe named Day-o, confirmed female) last year. After somehow coming across this channel like last june, I was inspired to get two more tarantulas. I got a chaco golden knee ( named Paradox, still a sling) and a Honduran curly hair (named Groot, waiting on molting to tell sex). One day, once I'm way more experienced, I would love to get a cobalt blue. Not for many years though. Lol. I also want a South American Jewel. I also realize I need to learn the scientific names of these guys. I'm working on it.
Omg talk about heart attack on the last one I jumped out of my skin. I don't no why I am shaking as I am over the other side of the world thank god. The biggest spider in my house is the cardinal spider which runs like usain bolt and that's freaky enough🕷
I had two king baboons for many years that I handled daily. They were just as docile as my red legs. I handled them all since they were spiderlings so maybe they were just used to it.
I have 2 G.Pulchripes for almost 2 years now, and I'm going to get 5 old world T's soon, including an OBT. I am so excited to get a mini heart attack!! 🙃 I can't have any more new worlds coz of those hairs, I got allergic rhinitis so no new worlds for me other than my cute Chako Golden Knees. I'm so excited to get my OLD WORL SLINGS.
I've CURRENTLY got 16 TARANTULAS and mine are ALL super SHY compared to YOURS! Even my OLD WORLD tarantulas are pretty chill. I held my Cyriopagopus sp. hati hati when we first met and they didnt seem to unhappy to meet me! :D

I love that the Cobalt Blue's scientific name has "livid" in it. Not only does it mean "dull-blue", but also "very angry". It fits both ways!
