    Love the information! Love different opinions! Lions around my country are run in the snow so much that they’ll leave and run from two canyons away to get away from dogs. It makes it real hard to catch one on the bare ground, Once in a while I get lucky though. Also, I am homes Quarantined, sick with COVID-19. Not sick enough to be in bed but just sick enough I don’t dare go hunting. Been watching all your videos over again. Thanks for all you do!

    Another great episode Brett. Barometric pressure…..Jim does not kill ? Thats not the norm is it ? You don’t kill all the time either….I wonder, if you were not all tied up with cameras, and all that goes with it, how much more successful at treeing you and the hounds would be ? But thats mot the point, it being in the arena…don’t sell your self short in any faction of this game….you have been there and done it, got the tee shirt 😊 and brought us the videos….thanks 👍🏻👍🏻☕️

      Are you interested in trying one out? We all brag on our dogs for sure but this Girl is an exceptional specium. I trained her to herd goats and cows without killing them LOL she will track game and I would really like to she her in a pack setting, doing her instinctual job. One moring a few years back she had a pack if 6 coyotes testing her. She ran them off never actually locking up with them even with six they knew better. it was amazing to see that play out.
      I am in Arizona along the Bobacamori river on a 400 acre ranch borders thousands of acres of state land
      I had a horse and a burro trying to breed a mule, up until last Thanksgiving.

Personally, I don't think there is a better feeling than driving down the road and hear a couple great lion hounds open on a track from the box, gotta love it. th-cam.com/video/_XcWF4Saa-w/w-d-xo.html

      Cool video .... I never thought rigging lions could be done like that down here until I had a friend and good Houndsman visit me from Oregon ... one of my hounds hung their head out of the box and barked ..I didn’t pay any attention to her but he said that dog was rigging something down in that canyon ...we drove down there and I let her out and she ran over to a tree and started opening up there ... I looked and there was a scrape under the tree ...we couldn’t trail the lion but she could rig that scrape ... thanks for watching and thanks for sharing the video !

    • @SuperRunninBear
      @SuperRunninBear 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BrettVaughnB100 That old Red Ike dog of mine started rigging lions from the box when he was only 18 months old, and it took awhile for me to understand what he was doing. I quickly bred him to a red dog I had and the pup I kept was rigging cats, both lion and bobcats, from the truck by the time his was the same age. That was the winter hunting season of 2000, and I had never heard of a dog that would rig lion. As you probably know, I took alot of heat for making those claims until I finally got completely away from the naysayers and the Internet. However, as God is my witness, and all of the houndsmen I let ride with me, those two red dogs rigged lions until the day they died, whether it was spring, summer, fall, or winter--and they would rig lions they often trailed until dark and did not catch. A good friend and hunting buddy of mine, Shawn Larum, always said memories to last a lifetime, and those two hounds gave me more memories in fourteen years than a person could ever share...
