I think with practice you'll get it right. I definitely saw the strips. You need thinner strips. Those were too wide. I too have always had a hooded eye and i learned how to wear my eye shadow to accommodate much larger sexier eyes than I actually have. Even at my 58 years of age.

Honestly, I can't see the tape afterwards at all. I think you look just as good without them. Well done on getting them to stick. I struggle with fake eyelashes (will you do a video on how to apply) I could manage this fine in my teens in the 70s but not any more.
I’d say the burning question is can you see them?
I’ve used this brand for two years and loooove them. I use the 6mm size and wear them every day, all day. Just a caution: if you use your fingers to apply they won’t stick as well. Just barely grasp the strip with the tweezers on the bottom in the middle, apply and gently twist the tweezers to release. I never leave the house without them. Simple water will remove them.
I can’t imagine spending $10 on these let alone $20+? I’ve been using eyelid stickies/tapes for a good 10 years, and never spend more than $5.

I'm a baby boomer and absolutely love these eye strips! If placed correctly, they do work and can make a huge difference. I don't wear daily - but if I'm going out for a more dressy occasion, I do. A couple of things. They come in different sizes- she's using a large size. I would start out with the smaller ones first. Their tweezers are cheap- I use regular tweezers. They are a little awkward to place- but it beats the alternative - surgery. Find the video by the owner- I had been placing them incorrectly- on the lid itself- instead of over the crease. Placement can be a little tricky. I confess - I break the cardinal rule- I end up touching the ends to place. But, they still stick- and I've never had one fall off. I do put a little darker eye shadow over it- and it camouflaged the strip. Yes, if you close your eyes people may see them- but we don't go around with our eyes closed- I find them virtually undetectable.
This is one of the very few products that does what it claims. I also really like the brow templates - but I use a different brand.

Glad you did this video. I have used the strips for months and I was amazed that your strips stayed put while putting on eye shadow. My lids are very crepey and are rounded more than yours. Oily lids as well even though I also bought the eyelid wipes. Once the shadow goes on the strips start to loosen and usually come off too easily. I will still use them rather than spend thousands on an eyelid lift. I use the 4 mm or 5 mm to get a small eyelid lift and I usually can’t see them. Great job, Camille.
I don’t need eyelid tape, but I loved your honesty. You are wonderful at explaining things, very personable and you don’t cut quarters as far as explaining or answering questions. But if I ever need to use eyelid tape, you are definitely the go to. Thank you for sharing.

Haha, I watched a commercial today about eye tape. Got a bright idea, to make a prototype with scotch tape. IT WORKS!!!! I actually went out today feeling a bit more confident knowing I have an eyelid. I just perfected the scotch tape and cut the tape a bit thinner. I don’t feel the scotch tape at all. I haven’t tried makeup yet, I was too thrilled by my discovery. I used invisible scotch tape. Try it, I’m happy with the results

You gotta use the eyelid tape that's like a mesh. You put it on after you're done with your eyeshadow and it basically disappears. You can't really see it at all. The one that's really good is called like, cuticuter or something like that. It comes with a little plastic thing to fold your eyelid. It works really well. The kind this lady is using sucks. My mom bought that kind first and it's awful. You can always see it cuz it's too thick. The super thin mesh is where it's at. Def try those! 😁💜

Camille, as I have told you in the past, your bravery to tackle face "situations" makes you beautiful no matter what. That eyelid tape takes practice. I gave up after a few days and thru them away! They do need to work on shadow sticky thingie part! Let makeup be the song of love. Play on girl.

Temu has the exact same things for 1.98 for way more. These have been out for a very long time, I bought them 6 years ago but I never tried them. So I'm glad you are here to show us. it does work but i have read that dermatologists do not recomend it on a frequent basis because of the adheasive and also pulling and the tug on your eyelids can make them even worse in the long run
That's because you NEVER remove them by just pulling them off. ALWAYS wet them, wait a few minutes then just lift them off. There should not be ANY tugging of the eyelid whosoever. Most people use eyelid strips wrong. 🌹
Dermatologists don't recommend them because they want to suck you in for their expensive procedures!!!!
Thank you for this current video using the Contour Rx eyelid strips! I purchased these recently and have been trying them out. I don’t think I have gotten the placement exactly right yet. My experience was very similar to yours but I purchased their eye primer and got the same results you did. Eye shadow didn’t really stick to it. My eyes are very hooded-they sit on my lashes. I’m going to keep trying 😂. Have a great day!!❤
This is just my experience but I think it can help you. I don't go anywhere without my makeup, especially eye makeup. So in order to do both - wear eye makeup and the eyelid tape -I do this: I complete the entire look - eyeshadow included - and THEN I apply the tape.
The two obvious questions would be (1) does the tape stick to the shadow and (2) how can I do eyeshadow placement when I'm going to change the shape of my eye after applying shadow with the tape application.
First and most importantly is getting the tape application right. That just takes practice. You just have to take the time to practice and you'll get it.
#1 It will stick on top of the shadow but not very well and I would not advise going out in public with it. SO, take a little eyelash glue and put it on both ends of the tape while on your lid (I take a little glue, lift up the end of the tape with tweezers and use those same tweezers to place glue under the tape and gently press down). It will anchor the tape down all day. This is where your practicing comes in - it will be a lot easier if you're already comfortable and know where you want the tape so don't forget to practice.
#2 The placement of your shadow will be different because the tape will change your eye shape. You will likely have to make slight adjustments to your shadow afterwards but it's no big deal.

Камилла, доброго времени суток! Я визажист и заметила много ошибок при нанесении макияжа. Самая важная ошибка когда глаза близко посаженны нельзя наносить тëмные тени близко к внутреннему уголку глаза, это делает их визуально ещё ближе🙈 и подводить глаза в таком случае лучше от середины глаза.
Вы поставили тëмное пятно у внутреннего уголка левого глаза, у внешнего уголка растушевали тени, а там я всë видео ждала когда вы уберëте то тëмное пятно, но так и не дождалась.
Я не визажист, но думала об этом же.
Я тоже удивляюсь откуда столько восторженных комментариев?😂 Эти липучки видно, просто кошмар.. в реальности наверное вообще трешак

I don’t know what the instructions say, but it seem to me that the placement was too low on your demonstration. Might’ve gotten better effect if you had raised the tape, a little higher towards the actual crease.

The ones on Amazon are cheaper and I tried a set of them last year too. Read the description and see what it says about latex and medical grade materials. Experiment with the $8 ones, although they are not the same exact product, they will work similarly. Then if you like them go for the nicer set maybe.

Although the strip was slightly visible, your eyes looked great! Perhaps experimenting with primers, concealers, shadow color might remedy that problem a bit.

I've found that using a max factor foundation stick as a primer then set with your lightest base shadow works wonderfully with these patches

As I mentioned before. I tried them but at 72, the skin on my upper lids is so thin and crepey, they just droop over them. I was using Plexaderm for my under eye bags. Then I discovered Beverly Hills V-Lift Instant Eye Lift and Eye Tuck Bee Venom Serum for half the price of Plexiderm. I decided to try it on my upper lids. They stayed really good, but my powder eye shadows don't stick. So I'm back to the same old same old of doing my shadows to decrease the appearance of those upper lids.

Thank you. My eyes are more hooded than yours. About 18 months ago, I tried these and they made a small difference like you experienced. Last week I tried them again and found that as I age and the hood increases, it made no noticeable difference. Sad but true. Thanks again!
Did you know that they make different sizes? I have also seen some new type of eyelid glue that is supposed to be even better. Sounds a bit scary but there is a lady on tiktok that sells it. I need to get my hands on some! If I do, i'll post about it!

Hi ~ I have to say that I am a daily wearer of lid tapes. However ~ not this type. I have tried MANY tapes, and my conclusion is that if you want really comfortable and totally INVISIBLE with make-up, the only way to go is the fiber ones that you spray with water to activate the glue. There's no comparison. They're comfortable and last all day. They also take practice, but consider doing a video comparison. You'll be amazed.

I was veery curious about these and just happened upon ur video. I have always had hooded eyes even as a teenager and never wore much makeup-blush and lipstick. All these years later I wanted to try eye makeup but it seems like I now have double hoods! Love watching you apply your makeup and ur eyes look so pretty 👍⭐️. I had upper blepharoplasty about 18 years ago as a cosmetic choice. It worked great and now almost 20 years later (age 70) the results are the same. It was money well spent. However, last year I had a lower blepharoplasty and it did very little to improve the undereye area. To be fair the same surgeon did both procedures and for the second one, he told me that it would make little difference so my bad.

I bought these and as much as I appreciate the concept, the end result for me wasn’t worth it. I can camouflage better with shadow. I can definitely feel them on my hooded eyes and they make me feel tired, my lids feel heavy. If I use without makeup, they are virtually invisible (except my right eye, I can see the ridge) but with make up, not a chance, that’s all I can see is the tape. The company says that they have a special primer to use with these. Not spending more money on something I’m not to impressed with.
It's interesting to hear everyone's experience. Some have better luck with results than others. I'm not sure if it how bad the hooded eye is, or if it's getting it just in the right place....👍👍
I think your eyes aren't too bad, if the hooded eyes are worse, I think you get a more noticeable improvement, but some are so bad, surgery is all that can fix it... your eyes look quite good just from your make-up application. I'm 63 this year, I'm lucky as I do have reasonably good skin, but now I really have to look after it and use moisturiser etc...but the crinkled skin on eyelids is definitely my worst problem, and I've debated getting these little stick-ons myself... seeing your improvement, I just might give them a try 👍👍

I have these and have yet to use them with makeup. I have very hooded eyes at almost 60 years old. Hopefully they work as I really want to look great on my 60th Bday on April 30th!!! I will do some practice runs👍🏼❤️
