Gran Turismo 5 (or 6?) had custom wings that you could select the material, shape, and height from like 9 different wing shapes. It's not a purpose built one like hill climb aero, but it does add a ton of variety simply.

@@DaSpecialZak I’d like to think, this is because they’re waiting until next game.. but this would be false as, I.e Toyo Tire has been a brand logo available in the decals since FH1 - I almost feel like it’s because they know, not a single person would then use horizon tyre writing which believe it or not, is free advertising.. put those on your car, take a really high quality image and post it somewhere.. it could also be because they have never changed the tyre textures, they’ve added the tyre profile option to a few cars which would allow for those thicker texts.. In reality we have no idea, if only the developers were up front and didn’t just blow smoke up our 🫏
The most simple customization option we never had in horizon series: REAR WING DELETE. I know some cars have this option by “manufacturer”. However I think many cars should have this option as standard like gt2 rs.
Hoping series 37 is called "Tuners Choices" or "Tunners Takeover" or something like that and then they add new aesthetic parts for all the cars😭 (no matter to me if they dont introduce new cars fr)

Visual engine mods and exhaust tips would be an Awesome Addition to Horizon. It will be more realistic for car enthusiasts and would makes car meets more real too!
One thing I'd definitely like to see is the option to change the sound of turbos and superchargers..technically you're able to do that in the game, but a lot of times, the best option is the most generic sounding one. Maybe sometimes the car untouched has a better turbo sound than it's race package. So maybe, record a variety of different turbo spool and flutter sounds as well as supercharger whines for the next game, that way we can change them like how we change our horns...we could also mute the sounds as well, or make them louder
I understand manufacturer licensing creates some reservations with customization of a car, but a modern "autosculpt" system like from NFS Carbon would be so awesome for customization. Just... Make what aero/body kit you want.
Japan is not going to happen, there are just too many Political and Licensing Hurdles for it to be even remotely possible. Good thing IMO as I am *gone* for a Game if FH6 is anywhere in Asia, far too much Idolatry over there for me.

No, we haven’t remodeled any cars, there are 120009947253 bugs at launch, and the Silvia s15 still looks awful. There are going to be 2 cars in the car pack, a Lamborghini huracan, and a dodge charger. The car pack will cost $137.99 and the other dlcs include a 500 meter square box and a build mode that we totally haven’t done before. These all come with the premium edition which comes out to a total of $12,316.82! Not to mention the fact that we built this whole game from the ground up, using all of the code from Forza Motorsport 5! Oh yeah, and unfortunately, Mazda decided to not be in our game. Anyway, be ready for December 31st 2198!!!
The problem is that they've been building off the existing systems for years. To make any significant changes would require setting things up for every individual car. Another problem caused by having such a large outdated car list. Window decals need UV unwrapped windows for each car. Forza aero updates would need new positions to be defined to attach the wing to each car. Even realistic working mirrors would need each car mesh to be edited so the mirrors are perfectly flat and angled correctly.
For me, it's cars that have visible spare tyres where the rims don't change if you choose a new rim style for the other four. Mostly affects classic cars and some rally cars with the roof tyre. I also hate that when you paint a car, any decals or features of the original design are lost, such as racing stripes or side panel wording. Also, cars that look like they should have two-tone paint-jobs (different paint groups), but don't.
I’m very passionate about this, being a forza vet since day one (FMS1).. another thing they need to add is more stance-ability… lower and wider fitment - this would of course take time with over 800 cars, if they had started this a year ago.. it’d be done already, even if they have to drip feed which cars get these abilities.. once it’s done, it’s done. Player made decals should have an option to add an outline at no additional decal limit cost. Or at least very little cost. Tyre writing.. Toyo etc. Removable parts.. Engine models change with engine swap, if it wouldn’t physically fit.. don’t give it that option Unfortunately my phones dying but I could add so, so much more!
I don't care, if they remove Forza Aero altogether, the only reason I'm putting it on is to unlock downforce tuning, where some tuner wings, for eg on R35 2017 model I believe don't have it unlocked and Forza Aero one does have it unlocked, makes no sense 🤷🏻♂️
Personal opinion if the developers have licensing for Toyota cars for example then by default. They have licensing for TRD customization, considering it’s officially licensed by Toyota. And the same goes with every other type of car customization that’s officially licensed by the brand Ford and SVT Nissan and nismo and things like that
Technically they would still need to request to use those parts etc. but it is very doable.. unfortunately, devs are very wealthy due to this game.. they don’t want to give that up by increasing licensing fee’s

I like the APR wing options for recently added Mustangs and I think the newest Celica also has them, so maybe there's some hope for replacing Forza wing
Maybe a feature to paint separate parts of the car without having to apply vinyls. I never understood why forza won't or can't get the level of customization that NFS or the crew has.
Something like being able to change tire compounds for front or rear would be nice. For example we could upgrade a Dodge Demon with fat drag tires in the rear but skinny stock tires in the front for a little more grip.
I think PGG needs to redesign Forza customization entirely so that the developers have more creative freedom when it comes to making stuff like rear Aeros, front bumper options, and wide body kits for the vehicles so we have stuff like the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS having various customization options (including emergency/ police car customization, race car customization that makes it look similar to the custom 11 Camaro from hot wheels, drag car customization that makes look like the custom 10 Camaro SS drag car from hot wheels, along with 1 or 2 in house wide body kits, and the ability to mix and match most of the visual customization options), more of a mix of licensed and in house customization options for various JDM cars, and more body kits options that are like the wide body for the Wuling Sunshine in FH5, and the wide body, rear wing, and rear bumper options (including the options to remove the rear bumper and rear bumper option that goes along with the wide body kit) for the 2015 Subaru WRX STI in the recent Forza Motorsport title
This is a huge stretch but I really wish for interior customization. Things like gutting a car, changing the seats, roll cage design, steering wheel, a hydro e brake, etc. I do a lot of first person drifting with a sim wheel and unless you use one of the Formula Drift cars, it just feels weird.
They also need to have the ability to change the steering wheel as steering wheels like the R33's has got to go, and I would love to see Nitrous being a visual customisation as well to be fully functioning in races and freeroam
the reason why we never saw mismatched aftermarket wheels in Forza is because even the newest titles have upgrade systems that work identically to the one in the first Forza Motorsport from 2005, and neither PG nor T10 want to replace it
It's not exuast tips but actuly a fully detailed modeled exhaust pipe of difrent style four of them are difrent to each other stock , sport , semi racing and racing exhaust that's the thing gran turismo 7 dev cares about they go extra mile for detail

Gt7 does changed it exhaust system completly with each upgrade not just sound wise but also the way it looks, the attention to detail is always something polyphony digital being good at.
I think a big factor in these choices of NOT giving us this is because of vehicle licensing and the cost not to mention even how some manufacturers (looking at you Ferrari) have issue with vehicle modifications. It probably costs too much to do all of this. But at the same time youd think being in Microsofts pocket thered be more in the game than there is.
I just want them to clean up how you paint a car. I wish you didn't have to do it one body panel at a time. It would be much easier to execute some ideas I have had if I could put one large decal across the whole car. Also I have noticed the cars are often not exactly symmetrical, like if I put a decal on one side then mirror it will be a few degrees off. I have found some cars impossible to symmetrically paint. It gets annoying and has just discouraged me from attemping to do anything complex, or creative.
Give us the ability to add or change the writing on tires especially for drift and drag tires also give us the ability to change the wheel size from very small to large so many cars in the game come with large wheels sizes with no ability to make them smaller also give us the ability to customize the sound of the engine/exhaust without affecting the vehicles performance also give us the ability to change where the exhaust comes out of the car like the hood or the front side quarter panel ect.. I could list off waaaay more ideas but I'm not trying to write a book here lol
My top customizations are: 1. Have standard options for the material and color of the interior of the vehicle 2. Have more standard wheel options 3. Exahust tips
I'm not sure, if the devs at PG should focus on new customization features (as much as I would like them to do as well), considering how they had all this time to make FM/FM8 and it turned out to be a bare bones game with even base features missing..

I would like to see engine swap from Forza Motorsport 4 , like Porsche, Audi and VW engine can be swap in Porsche , Audi or VW. Like GM engines in GM vehicles etc. Not always Racing V12 or the same LS2 V8 6.2L in every vehicles.
Around a fortnight ago a man noticed me looking at a Nissan GTR parked down the road and asked me if I wanted to see his car he showed it to me and said it was a GR Yaris but I had never heard of it and thought he was making a big deal out of a car that had kind of under whelming performance for its price but two days later i saw it was getting added to forza and actually has good customisation and was unbelievably surprised 😂
We need changeable head ( ducts ) / tail lights and more aero kits , and a car sound tuner kinda what's like in NFS to make even the exact same car sound different
They should give a unique section to visual customization for bodykits and aftermarket spoilers and wheels and you can change the design of the tires to put sponsors on them

The Forza Wing is hands down the biggest turd in all of gaming. PG/T10 should at the very least give players the option to make it invisible. Much like ghosting cars in races. Or just make all wings adjustable. Or make a new forza wing that does not resemble excrement. 💩💩💩🤣🤣🤣

@@olavofernandes7286 we don’t play at the same game then, even though they’re not perfect, cars’ interior are already pretty good (I’m talking about FH more than FM), good enough to be able to custom it. But I agree with you in a way that we need more OEM parts like different manufacturers wheels, body parts (like some M parts we already have on some models), etc..
Btw.. forza devs chat shid - they could easily add the ability to add window stickers. They use a very basic method for adding decals to the car. The only tricky thing is making you able to see the sticker from the inside.. There is so much Forza devs could easily do.. however they want to save them so they are new to the next game - terrible decision.

I'd love to be able to create a more "race-ready" interior like Import Tuner Challenge and Midnight Club LA let you do. Replace the default seats with bucket seats from Recaro, Cobra, Sparco, etc; add custom gauges, add a lighter, purpose built steering wheel from MOMO, MPI, Sparco, etc; add a 5 point harness from Takata, Sabelt, or another company, and an ability to remove any of the passenger seats. They could even go further by letting you replace the factory gauges and dashboard with a digital dash from brands like MOTEC or Auto Meter. Maybe you could add racing switches and shift knobs to the car's interior too; perhaps even change shift mechanisms for certain cars (give H pattern cars sequential or paddle shifters). Basically, I'd love for any future racing games to let you make an interior like the ones in the Formula Drift cars.
Totally agree actually on the forza Areo I think they should add more choices instead of get rid of or fix the dynamics to the stats would be cool. Hope a De-tomaso Pantera and other brands or adding to the lacking brands get more, for sure Pantera GT5-S from 1987 but why not give us the Deville and Magusta, Velunga, Longchamp aswell as S1 or Si from 90s and Guara from 2003 and P72 and P800 would be cool and there 2 engine types V12 on prototype P72 and there V8.
I’m sure I read that Dan Greenawalt claimed that manufacturers wouldn’t let them put decals on windows. Very disappointing because all race cars have driver name at least on side windows. You’d think they could do that at least. As for FH6 being built from the ground up, FM8 is mostly rehashed FM7, with its livery editor being worse than FH5’s and still to this day an unreliable, buggy mess that quality painters are boycotting. I knew when they said that liveries and vinyls could be imported from previous games that it wasn’t completely new. The jump to Xbox One from X360 meant starting afresh with everything, so I fully expected that to happen again.
20 years ago in NFS U2, we had all of these modifications/customisations and so much more... This is a multimillon dollar AAA game that is technically live service and it's been running for 3 years, we've only just received glowing brakes from their previous games... The devs seriously need to take advice from IRL car communities, stop being lazy and feeding off revenue from 12 year olds... I understand there is work involved and there are constraints for the current iteration, however the devs need to ensure we get FH6 next year and the level of customisablity drastically increases in the next iteration of the game... The state that motorsport is in, it should be scrapped and merged with Horizon... Oh and for the love of God can we have a career with actual progression?
Here’s some things I think we need in forza not listed in the video 1. Air Ride suspension 2. Being able to make the lip/ barrel/ dish of a wheel deeper 3. Changing colors of the headlights/ tail lights 4. Tinting headlights/ tail lights 5. Ability to remove bumpers if possible 6. Custom taillights/ headlights 7. Lift kits 8. Tire smoke 9 the ability to mix body kits to make a car truly unique 10. Steering wheels and seats
Something that I think would be great, is interior customization. At least like NFS Shift, Shift 2, with packages with seats , sterring wheel , gages etc. Or at least change interior colors. And of course we need more companies for bodykots and individual exterior parts. Can't believa that we still haven't gotten the Steet Hunter bodykit for the new supra mk5, but we have it on the formula drift supra mk5
5 things I'd love to see are 1 drag tires for some of the muscle cars like the dodge demon and Jdm cars like the Nissan R35 2 the ability to remove the rear bumper like on those 1300HP+ Supercars 3 the ability to change the color of the rear/front lights 4 body kits from other manufacturers like RBK (royal body kits) or Liberty Walk 5 police lights on cars that would have them like the state trooper dodge charger hellcats Love the content keep it up peace bro
Thats the one thing i truely hate the forza lazyness. The car list has cars that have been recycled for over a decade now just “updated” slightly. The overpopulating list with duplicates etc. Like the Zonda Cinque has been there since FM4. Why is there no C12, F etc. How about sum more classic muscle like my bias first gen chargers. Way more customization for alot of cars especially considering the companies out there that do hypers etc.
MOTORSPORT- I laughed so hard when they said FM8 is built from the ground up yet showed the same bodykits and Rear wing on the MX-5 as the last 10 decades of Motorsport. More completely dissapointed but these need to change I also play Gran Turismo and their car customisation is so much better! They can also widebody their cars. Why cant we in Forza at the 8th gen game
I don't know if people will agree with me at all but I personally think it would be cool for us to have something from the likes of a "Transmog" system where we'd be able to change the appearance of our car to our liking whilst maintaining the performance benefits of Forza Aero parts. I'm aware that allowing us to do that would kind of break realism in a way but, at the end of the day, it's Forza Horizon. It's not supposed to be realistic. But I'm or course also supportive of the idea of getting a better looking Forza Wing. But this is just my opinion and you're obviously allowed to disagree with me.
I know this is more about visual changes, I really hope the next game gets better exhaust sounds. Not only in general, but when upgrading the exhaust. There’s so many cars in FH5 that sound unique (and pretty good) stock, but once you upgrade the exhaust they all sound the same. And ffs anti-lag turbos needs to be better looking/sounding.
Hello Eric, I’ve noticed something that you might want to know about the 2 driving modes on the new GR Yaris, the Sport mode adjusts the differential so that you get a lot of acceleration power in the rear wheels, and the track mode sort of reduces the acceleration power a bit, probably for better handling on the track. The springs and dampings however, stay the same no matter what mode you are in. Keep up the good work :)
What I really like to see, and I've posted it already on the suggestionshub, is Facelift bodykits, like for the second generation of eclipse, they have put only the 1995 version of it while most of us like the Facelift model. And with the limited amount of customization it is so bad. I owned one myself so, and in other racing games such as need for speed and the crew they do have or the right version or nice customization options. And that goes for so much more Facelift cars
In fact I believe that the progression system of Motorsports sports, RPG Style maybe could work for the next Forza Horizon in fact is more that type of game rather than Motorsport but talking about the video, I'm agree we need more customization not only body kits.
The worst thing about the Forza spoilers is that they dont wven bother on making them perfect sized for certain cars, its either too big, too wide, or too short, and bothers because there are some exceptions where the Forza spoiler looks decent bit the size ruins it completely
I unfortunately lost all hope for all Forza games. It is sad to see that they constantly let the players down. Forza 4 was where it’s at. I hope one day playground and turn10 go back to their roots with a modern addition. If they learn from GT turismo and or need for speed. I’ll come back.
Being able to paint the brake calipers isn't something new. They've had this since Motorsports 2 in 2007 and it's crazy it took all the way until horizon 5 to add it back... SMH
I'd love to see customizable interiors and I don't necessarily mean aftermarket parts but simply like in TDU real world options and specs. But honestly I've given up on that at this point.
For whatever plausible reason the deva are so proud of their Forza aero that they won't give you the option to at least change up how it looks on the car. What's hilarious is 20 year old NFS games were letting you do this, it was called autosculpt. 😆

They Never Add Crew Motorfest levels of Customisation to the Horizon series unfortunately
And that's the problem. Forza should start taking serious notes from Motorfest, seeing that we love their customization more than Forza's.

Forza aero updates would need new positions to be defined to attach the wing to each car.
Even realistic working mirrors would need each car mesh to be edited so the mirrors are perfectly flat and angled correctly.
Changing headlight color would be awesome in FH5

For me, it's cars that have visible spare tyres where the rims don't change if you choose a new rim style for the other four. Mostly affects classic cars and some rally cars with the roof tyre.
I also hate that when you paint a car, any decals or features of the original design are lost, such as racing stripes or side panel wording. Also, cars that look like they should have two-tone paint-jobs (different paint groups), but don't.

I’m very passionate about this, being a forza vet since day one (FMS1).. another thing they need to add is more stance-ability… lower and wider fitment - this would of course take time with over 800 cars, if they had started this a year ago.. it’d be done already, even if they have to drip feed which cars get these abilities.. once it’s done, it’s done.
Player made decals should have an option to add an outline at no additional decal limit cost. Or at least very little cost.
Tyre writing.. Toyo etc.

I don't care, if they remove Forza Aero altogether, the only reason I'm putting it on is to unlock downforce tuning, where some tuner wings, for eg on R35 2017 model I believe don't have it unlocked and Forza Aero one does have it unlocked, makes no sense 🤷🏻♂️
Personal opinion if the developers have licensing for Toyota cars for example then by default. They have licensing for TRD customization, considering it’s officially licensed by Toyota. And the same goes with every other type of car customization that’s officially licensed by the brand Ford and SVT Nissan and nismo and things like that
Technically they would still need to request to use those parts etc. but it is very doable.. unfortunately, devs are very wealthy due to this game.. they don’t want to give that up by increasing licensing fee’s

They have to request individual cars even with the license to those brands.. I’d imagine, the more they want - the more they pay. Not only in money but in time.. both of which they have plenty of.
This would cut into their profits. The latter isn’t affecting the profits.. the lack of these options is very frustrating, annoying and confusing.. but ima still put 100’s of hours in 👀 therefore, they can drip feed us bs and we’ll still play.. they can ignore requests and be lazy.. I won’t lie, the devs definitely put in work and have made a game series that’s been active for more than 20 years.. it doesn’t change the fact they’ve lacked in places, big places and quite frankly don’t care 😂 - a select few cared which is why I believe they lost a lot of the dev team when Mike Brown left.. he’s now claiming to be working on an open world racing/car game - perhaps they’ll pick up that slack.
There’s a chance they have requested some of these items but have been declined.. that, I suppose is fair enough.. if this was the case - TELL US!

Im really easy going on Horizon but i really hate the Forza rear wing that's an option for hatchbacks and SUV's. Why can't that be redesigned?
I like the APR wing options for recently added Mustangs and I think the newest Celica also has them, so maybe there's some hope for replacing Forza wing

Something like being able to change tire compounds for front or rear would be nice. For example we could upgrade a Dodge Demon with fat drag tires in the rear but skinny stock tires in the front for a little more grip.
I think that should be doable as update, we already have separate wheels by axis.
I think PGG needs to redesign Forza customization entirely so that the developers have more creative freedom when it comes to making stuff like rear Aeros, front bumper options, and wide body kits for the vehicles so we have stuff like the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS having various customization options (including emergency/ police car customization, race car customization that makes it look similar to the custom 11 Camaro from hot wheels, drag car customization that makes look like the custom 10 Camaro SS drag car from hot wheels, along with 1 or 2 in house wide body kits, and the ability to mix and match most of the visual customization options), more of a mix of licensed and in house customization options for various JDM cars, and more body kits options that are like the wide body for the Wuling Sunshine in FH5, and the wide body, rear wing, and rear bumper options (including the options to remove the rear bumper and rear bumper option that goes along with the wide body kit) for the 2015 Subaru WRX STI in the recent Forza Motorsport title

This is a huge stretch but I really wish for interior customization. Things like gutting a car, changing the seats, roll cage design, steering wheel, a hydro e brake, etc.
I do a lot of first person drifting with a sim wheel and unless you use one of the Formula Drift cars, it just feels weird.

the reason why we never saw mismatched aftermarket wheels in Forza is because even the newest titles have upgrade systems that work identically to the one in the first Forza Motorsport from 2005, and neither PG nor T10 want to replace it

It's not exuast tips but actuly a fully detailed modeled exhaust pipe of difrent style four of them are difrent to each other stock , sport , semi racing and racing exhaust that's the thing gran turismo 7 dev cares about they go extra mile for detail

Gt7 does changed it exhaust system completly with each upgrade not just sound wise but also the way it looks, the attention to detail is always something polyphony digital being good at.

I think a big factor in these choices of NOT giving us this is because of vehicle licensing and the cost not to mention even how some manufacturers (looking at you Ferrari) have issue with vehicle modifications.
It probably costs too much to do all of this. But at the same time youd think being in Microsofts pocket thered be more in the game than there is.

I just want them to clean up how you paint a car. I wish you didn't have to do it one body panel at a time. It would be much easier to execute some ideas I have had if I could put one large decal across the whole car. Also I have noticed the cars are often not exactly symmetrical, like if I put a decal on one side then mirror it will be a few degrees off. I have found some cars impossible to symmetrically paint. It gets annoying and has just discouraged me from attemping to do anything complex, or creative.
Give us the ability to add or change the writing on tires especially for drift and drag tires also give us the ability to change the wheel size from very small to large so many cars in the game come with large wheels sizes with no ability to make them smaller also give us the ability to customize the sound of the engine/exhaust without affecting the vehicles performance also give us the ability to change where the exhaust comes out of the car like the hood or the front side quarter panel ect.. I could list off waaaay more ideas but I'm not trying to write a book here lol

Say what you will about the Forza wing, but I've put a lot of hardware in my trophy case with that bolted to the back of my machinery.
My top customizations are:
1. Have standard options for the material and color of the interior of the vehicle
2. Have more standard wheel options
3. Exahust tips
I'm not sure, if the devs at PG should focus on new customization features (as much as I would like them to do as well), considering how they had all this time to make FM/FM8 and it turned out to be a bare bones game with even base features missing..

Car customization is really, really outdated and long in the tooth, they need to take a look at the Crew Motorfest and Need for Speed

Forza needs more small/mini trucks like mazda b2200 or mitsubishi mighty max. Also just more older trucks like 2nd gen rams
the forza spoiler is the tackyest most awful thing in the game and i hate it. also the front tow hook needs to be a paint group.
I would like to see engine swap from Forza Motorsport 4 , like Porsche, Audi and VW engine can be swap in Porsche , Audi or VW. Like GM engines in GM vehicles etc. Not always Racing V12 or the same LS2 V8 6.2L in every vehicles.

Around a fortnight ago a man noticed me looking at a Nissan GTR parked down the road and asked me if I wanted to see his car he showed it to me and said it was a GR Yaris but I had never heard of it and thought he was making a big deal out of a car that had kind of under whelming performance for its price but two days later i saw it was getting added to forza and actually has good customisation and was unbelievably surprised 😂

But I agree with you in a way that we need more OEM parts like different manufacturers wheels, body parts (like some M parts we already have on some models), etc..
If they just got rid of the hump in the Forza wing it would look 10x better.
Btw.. forza devs chat shid - they could easily add the ability to add window stickers. They use a very basic method for adding decals to the car.
The only tricky thing is making you able to see the sticker from the inside..

I'd love to be able to create a more "race-ready" interior like Import Tuner Challenge and Midnight Club LA let you do.
Replace the default seats with bucket seats from Recaro, Cobra, Sparco, etc; add custom gauges, add a lighter, purpose built steering wheel from MOMO, MPI, Sparco, etc; add a 5 point harness from Takata, Sabelt, or another company, and an ability to remove any of the passenger seats.
They could even go further by letting you replace the factory gauges and dashboard with a digital dash from brands like MOTEC or Auto Meter. Maybe you could add racing switches and shift knobs to the car's interior too; perhaps even change shift mechanisms for certain cars (give H pattern cars sequential or paddle shifters).
Basically, I'd love for any future racing games to let you make an interior like the ones in the Formula Drift cars.
Totally agree actually on the forza Areo I think they should add more choices instead of get rid of or fix the dynamics to the stats would be cool. Hope a De-tomaso Pantera and other brands or adding to the lacking brands get more, for sure Pantera GT5-S from 1987 but why not give us the Deville and Magusta, Velunga, Longchamp aswell as S1 or Si from 90s and Guara from 2003 and P72 and P800 would be cool and there 2 engine types V12 on prototype P72 and there V8.
I’m sure I read that Dan Greenawalt claimed that manufacturers wouldn’t let them put decals on windows. Very disappointing because all race cars have driver name at least on side windows. You’d think they could do that at least.
As for FH6 being built from the ground up, FM8 is mostly rehashed FM7, with its livery editor being worse than FH5’s and still to this day an unreliable, buggy mess that quality painters are boycotting. I knew when they said that liveries and vinyls could be imported from previous games that it wasn’t completely new. The jump to Xbox One from X360 meant starting afresh with everything, so I fully expected that to happen again.
The forza aero on the 5cyl Focus RS actually made me go blind for a few days it was so heinous.
20 years ago in NFS U2, we had all of these modifications/customisations and so much more...
This is a multimillon dollar AAA game that is technically live service and it's been running for 3 years, we've only just received glowing brakes from their previous games...
The devs seriously need to take advice from IRL car communities, stop being lazy and feeding off revenue from 12 year olds...
I understand there is work involved and there are constraints for the current iteration, however the devs need to ensure we get FH6 next year and the level of customisablity drastically increases in the next iteration of the game...
The state that motorsport is in, it should be scrapped and merged with Horizon...
Oh and for the love of God can we have a career with actual progression?
Here’s some things I think we need in forza not listed in the video
1. Air Ride suspension
2. Being able to make the lip/ barrel/ dish of a wheel deeper
3. Changing colors of the headlights/ tail lights
4. Tinting headlights/ tail lights
5. Ability to remove bumpers if possible
6. Custom taillights/ headlights
7. Lift kits
8. Tire smoke
9 the ability to mix body kits to make a car truly unique
10. Steering wheels and seats
Something that I think would be great, is interior customization. At least like NFS Shift, Shift 2, with packages with seats , sterring wheel , gages etc. Or at least change interior colors. And of course we need more companies for bodykots and individual exterior parts. Can't believa that we still haven't gotten the Steet Hunter bodykit for the new supra mk5, but we have it on the formula drift supra mk5
5 things I'd love to see are
1 drag tires for some of the muscle cars like the dodge demon and Jdm cars like the Nissan R35
2 the ability to remove the rear bumper like on those 1300HP+ Supercars
3 the ability to change the color of the rear/front lights
4 body kits from other manufacturers like RBK (royal body kits) or Liberty Walk
5 police lights on cars that would have them like the state trooper dodge charger hellcats

Thats the one thing i truely hate the forza lazyness. The car list has cars that have been recycled for over a decade now just “updated” slightly. The overpopulating list with duplicates etc. Like the Zonda Cinque has been there since FM4. Why is there no C12, F etc. How about sum more classic muscle like my bias first gen chargers. Way more customization for alot of cars especially considering the companies out there that do hypers etc.
MOTORSPORT- I laughed so hard when they said FM8 is built from the ground up yet showed the same bodykits and Rear wing on the MX-5 as the last 10 decades of Motorsport. More completely dissapointed but these need to change I also play Gran Turismo and their car customisation is so much better! They can also widebody their cars. Why cant we in Forza at the 8th gen game
I don't know if people will agree with me at all but I personally think it would be cool for us to have something from the likes of a "Transmog" system where we'd be able to change the appearance of our car to our liking whilst maintaining the performance benefits of Forza Aero parts.
I'm aware that allowing us to do that would kind of break realism in a way but, at the end of the day, it's Forza Horizon. It's not supposed to be realistic.
But I'm or course also supportive of the idea of getting a better looking Forza Wing.
But this is just my opinion and you're obviously allowed to disagree with me.
I know this is more about visual changes, I really hope the next game gets better exhaust sounds.
Not only in general, but when upgrading the exhaust. There’s so many cars in FH5 that sound unique (and pretty good) stock, but once you upgrade the exhaust they all sound the same.
And ffs anti-lag turbos needs to be better looking/sounding.
Hello Eric, I’ve noticed something that you might want to know about the 2 driving modes on the new GR Yaris, the Sport mode adjusts the differential so that you get a lot of acceleration power in the rear wheels, and the track mode sort of reduces the acceleration power a bit, probably for better handling on the track. The springs and dampings however, stay the same no matter what mode you are in. Keep up the good work :)
What I really like to see, and I've posted it already on the suggestionshub, is Facelift bodykits, like for the second generation of eclipse, they have put only the 1995 version of it while most of us like the Facelift model. And with the limited amount of customization it is so bad. I owned one myself so, and in other racing games such as need for speed and the crew they do have or the right version or nice customization options. And that goes for so much more Facelift cars
In fact I believe that the progression system of Motorsports sports, RPG Style maybe could work for the next Forza Horizon in fact is more that type of game rather than Motorsport but talking about the video, I'm agree we need more customization not only body kits.
The worst thing about the Forza spoilers is that they dont wven bother on making them perfect sized for certain cars, its either too big, too wide, or too short, and bothers because there are some exceptions where the Forza spoiler looks decent bit the size ruins it completely
I know for a fact that if the wing was curved on some cars to fit the shape of their rear ends it'd look much better
I unfortunately lost all hope for all Forza games. It is sad to see that they constantly let the players down. Forza 4 was where it’s at. I hope one day playground and turn10 go back to their roots with a modern addition. If they learn from GT turismo and or need for speed. I’ll come back.
Being able to paint the brake calipers isn't something new. They've had this since Motorsports 2 in 2007 and it's crazy it took all the way until horizon 5 to add it back... SMH
I'd love to see customizable interiors and I don't necessarily mean aftermarket parts but simply like in TDU real world options and specs. But honestly I've given up on that at this point.
For whatever plausible reason the deva are so proud of their Forza aero that they won't give you the option to at least change up how it looks on the car. What's hilarious is 20 year old NFS games were letting you do this, it was called autosculpt. 😆
