    Thank you for the simple tutorial. I just bought a Nox 800. Brand spanking new. Will hunt with it for the first time on Saturday with these settings.

    2 years ago I set my detector up like this from your video. Ive used nothing else since and found a lot of deep relics at trashy colonial house sites. Not sure why people are skeptical about this. It works!! Buying a Deus II soon but Im not selling the Nox.

    Great instructional video. Very easy to follow as you went slow enough and showed the steps. Just programmed this in and saved it and hope to test it on one of my old colonial spots today. Thanks again!

    Thank you for this, I used it yesterday at the beach, found coins and a key and what looks to be a silver earring. I was using the F2 setting.

    What people need to realise is there is no number one great setting , it’s different for everyone around the world , the basics will be the same but you will need to fine tune to your own specific location . The noise cancelling to number 4 again is location specific and auto cancel should be carried out about every 30 minutes, not set to a specific number . Thanks for taking the time to make the video though 🙏

    Great helpful video. Next one, if you drop sensitivity to 1 instead of volume, metal targets in the floor wont interrupt what your doing in the video.

    Awesome, thanks for the video. I have never seen anyone specifically select a noise cancel number before. Do you know how the noise cancel numbers correlate to depth, stability etc? Etrac users often used 11 for silver.

    • @RecoveryAddict
      @RecoveryAddict  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      kylefreemason I’m still learning some of these correlations myself. I haven’t used the Etrac yet.

      Never seen someone Manuel noise cancel? Pretty sure setting it at 4 instead of running it doesn't give you a advantage. I will try it out tomorrow on both mine and my mrs

    • @JerseyLostRingMetalDetecting
      @JerseyLostRingMetalDetecting 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      1. That's not how you noise cancel and 2. You can't copy someone else's settings as they will be unique to your situation.

    • @arihadjioannou1049
      @arihadjioannou1049 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Setting a noise cancel of 4 is nonsense, should be set depending of the environment you are detecting, same with the ground balance

    Hey. I was wondering if you have cleared these settings with Neil? I see there are quite a few different versions of these settings around the WWW.

    • @RecoveryAddict
      @RecoveryAddict  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Bakerzinc - These settings come from the files of an Equinox 800 Facebook group of which Neil is a member. (As is Joan Allen and a few other well known British accounts). The performance of the Equinox using these settings is impressive.

    • @RecoveryAddict

      I still use this program when I am looking for small objects like earrings or necklaces. I don’t use it at the beach because the areas I detect have a lot of canslaw and even a tiny bit of aluminum sounds pretty good with the B4L settings.

      @@RecoveryAddict ok thanks i use park 1 i did try this setting from you abit
      im still working out what settings to use the most
      i do pasture grass mainly
      how long does the machine do you ever let it go to low i.e the flash and then charge it up or just charge it every time you use it even if it is not ?
      also what charge times do you get to as other day took awhile to charge but it was low low battery so maybe thats why took over 4 hours ?

    • @RecoveryAddict
      @RecoveryAddict  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@swiftdetecting I like to charge my detector the night before I go detecting. I don’t run it all the way dead before charging. I like to fully charge the battery before I head out because I tend to go on longer hunts. I do have a large usb battery pack that I can charge it on if I ever run low while on a hunt.

      @@RecoveryAddict thanks i do 6 or 7 hours am i right in thinking it is 12 hours max?
      as i know the XP Deus is 21 hours depending on which hz you use
      i like both machines for different reasons

    Whats the hidden setting in beach mode that field mode doesn't have? My field 1 settings are exactly the same as these beach mode settings. So why would I choose beach over field when in a field?
    I can only assume there is a hidden setting in beach mode?

    • @highplainsdrifter842
      @highplainsdrifter842 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Same here I really don't understand why this is so great over the default settings, and nobody has explained or proved why this setting is supposedly better than the land settings.

    • @lewis523
      @lewis523 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@highplainsdrifter842 you walk over the same target in the same manner using the exact same settings except the only difference being beach 1 and field 1. I really can't see there being much difference. If you dont walk over it, you'll never find it

    • @RecoveryAddict
      @RecoveryAddict  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Zach, I haven’t tried it but you should be able to input most of the setting in the 600. You may not be able to set iron tone volume... I think that is just an 800 option but I may be wrong. www.minelab.com/community/treasure-talk/equinox-600-vs-equinox-800

    • @JerseyLostRingMetalDetecting
      @JerseyLostRingMetalDetecting 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RecoveryAddict You can adjust the iron tone volume on the 600. I have mine set at full volume, as I'm searching for both ferrous and non-ferrous relics.
