I absolutely love the process of designing, writing, and crafting a perfect GDD, I just find the entire process so unbelievably satisfying to think about player psychology and behavior, and design mechanics around that, but programming is just entirely outside my wheelhouse...
This describes me too! I do worldbuilding, quest creating, and storytelling for ttrpg creators, which is what inspired me to look into game dev because I wanted to bring my own ideas to life. But coding? Yeah, I haven't done that since Myspace 😹

Awesome video! The game is looking beautiful. Really am loving the environment of your game and the art style. The leaves particle system is spot on and makes the game world much more beautiful. The game idea is very interesting and am liking it. One issue I have is that the quest book takes up too much screen space and gets difficult to see the beautiful game world. Maybe making it a bit smaller and placing to the left or right most of the screen might look better or showing it in some other way. But overall this is a very nice game and already is looking well polished. Looking forward to your next devlog. Keep it up! :)
I don’t know if you have seen the “night stones” dev logs from a solo guy! But the style is very similar and I think you could take some inspiration from :)

Looking great! I found my eyes drawn to the grass, it has a magical and slightly psychedelic aura to it that I love. I think it is the way it moves combined with the bright colouring underneath - was the grass made by following the same fluffy tree shader tutorial, or your own testing?
Really entertaining first dev log. Very inspirational, and the project already looks great. I want to start one myself but work makes my progress on my mvp kinda slow. How are you planning to balance your dev time with making videos?

I had a video for my first project (I don't think I have it hosted here on TH-cam anymore) that took me forever to record and render, so I guess I'm just worried about the time commitment and taking away from my game dev hours. That and showing the average capital-G gamer my work and getting trashed on the internet. But I guess it's all for the project, huh
One thing thats very important and people skip, is theme. Since the main character is a fox, base your theme on that, maybe the goal has something to do with stealing chickens from secure places...?
Do you have some tips , i just enter the world of Game dev i know the basics like multiplayer/ move character and i want to creat my own univers (with blender) i'm kinda scared to get overwhelm but i still love dev games , do you have any tips to start ?

Game Design is like "What do you want the player to do and how does it work?", coding is like "no, but HOW does it REALLY work?"
