We're working on it, they are there but we're looking for the original tapes to give you the music video in the best quality like you've never seen anywhere before...believe me this...not easy with 50 years of archive footage. We're not forgetting about it. Thanks for the feedback and keep on Rockin Cole.
Those courtly expressions on Keith's face when he presents an alternate tuning opening. He knows he's giving us a gift. That playfulness, and sheer joy are just of what makes the man a legend.
I was born with the stones and I will die with them....this intro is full of magic... few month later my first son was born...and he loves the stones too...
Imagine playing such an amazing intro, with the wind blowing and a whole stadium in silence waiting for the song you're about to play. That my friend, is something the actual music wob't achieve never. Long life to the rock and roll!
Today I watched about 10 versions of the Stones playing this song since the early 60s. I love that this one reinterprets it into a Spanish theme from the original Indian version. Mick is like a matador.
I remember this concert very well, at the Parc des Princes stadium. I went there on Friday evening. And also on Sunday evening. It was fabulous. I am an old fan of Paris Saint Germain soccer team. And I'm proud that "my" stadium was also used for such fabulous events.
Why we will always love the Rolling Stones? It's been a while since the Stones have recorded anything memorable .We love them for what they represent in our lives. Some years ago, when the Stones came to Brazil, I saw both their gigs It struck me then that the reason we still take the old material so seriously is because Jagger takes it seriously himself. He sings each song like he’s just released the record last week and puts so much effort into each performance that you can’t help being seduced by his charisma. Like "Paint It Black" released on 7 May 1966 . I was 14
1990 seemed like yesterday, how young the Stones look, even then the song was nearly 1/4 century old, a song I remember well from my wild n hazy 60s childhood. 😊
In this performance, Keith plays Brian's sitar part with a guitar of an unusual tone. Recently, Ronnie has played that part. Must be that "ancient form of weaving" that they do superbly.
Thx for this clarification, I was listening that sound and I was wondering "Isnt that sound from Brian's instrument? It doesn't even reach the magic way that Brian played his instrument 😭
The Rolling Stonesare by far the best rock band in the world. With the best life shows they are Numder one in this house. I have all there albums and DVD's they are the best
I'm a huge stones fan , my only regret is not seeing them on the Steel Wheels Tour . In my opinion the best tour they ever did ! Ready for No Filter Tour Rose Bowl in Pasadena !!! Got my seat , Stones 4ever !
Charlie is always good - best drummer ever...my son is in a band and I tell him to watch and listen to Mr Watts as much as he can......a fine musician and by far the best 'range' of any drummer...
I see a red door And I want it painted black No colors anymore I want them to turn black I see the girls walk by Dressed in their summer clothes I have to turn my head Until my darkness goes I see a line of cars And they're all painted black With flowers and my love Both never to come back I've seen people turn their heads And quickly look away Like a newborn baby It just happens everyday I look inside myself And see my heart is black I see my red door I must have it painted black Maybe then, I'll fade away And not have to face the facts It's not easy facing up When your whole world is black No more will my green sea Go turn a deeper blue I could not foresee this thing Happening to you If I look hard enough Into the setting sun My love will laugh with me Before the morning comes I see a red door And I want it painted black No colors anymore I want them to turn black I see the girls walk by Dressed in their summer clothes I have to turn my head Until my darkness goes I wanna see it painted Painted black Black as night Black as coal I wanna see the sun Blotted out from the sky I wanna see it painted, painted, painted Painted black, yeah
It's a Sadowsky guitar. Nylon model. Used on the 1989-1990 Tour only, for Ruby Tuesday, Play With Fire, Angie, Factory Girl, Paint It Black (and Blinded By Love only played at Madrid on 16/06/1990).
Although all of you have most likely thousands and thousands of hours of music on tape, notes, etc., it would be absolutely INCREDIBLE to get this entire concert on DVD. Keith kills it on Sympathy! Just love this entire concert. You did it all and pulled out some stops. Absolutely loved it as always! Thanks for sharing with us and please keep on rockin'.

For me, the best song of The Rolling Stones. Long life to them and the rock and roll. I would have liked this song in its original version to have a music video with scenes like those of the Vietnam War and/or World War II and the occasional scene from this great group. I feel very sad for Charlie Watts' death, because like him, there's no another greater drummer, Watts was, is and will be the best drummer of the world. R.I.P., Charlie Watts, God has to you in his glory.
1990 seemed like yesterday, how young the Stones look, even then the song was nearly 1/4 century old, a song I remember well from my wild n hazy 60s childhood. 😊
Ich widme diesen Song meinem Stiefvater: Hein. Du warst mir ein besserer Vater als es mein leiblicher je gewesen ist. Ruhe in Frieden mein Freund. Du wirst für immer in meinem Herzen sein. Habe Dich unwahrscheinlich lieb.
This was the first Stones song that really grabbed me as well as any Beatles song. I hadn't been much of a fan till then, but my "ear" is such that I prefer pieces that are written in a "minor" as opposed to "major" key. Those of you who "know" music and/or are musicians know "Black" couldn't be more "minor" sounding lol. I still love the tune!

RnR isnt all about quality, thats a thought that comes up with newer generations^^
But thanks!
i’m so glad you’re still alive bro
The real Roling Stone
That was one hell of a live performance
That smile in the intro.....never gets old
Those courtly expressions on Keith's face when he presents an alternate tuning opening. He knows he's giving us a gift. That playfulness, and sheer joy are just of what makes the man a legend.
I’m imagining Mick and Keith in school, putting the drama club in a state of shock and awe...😁
😂
genius
They new what kind of misfits they could be & rock & roll was there success.
I was born with the stones and I will die with them....this intro is full of magic... few month later my first son was born...and he loves the stones too...

This is my personal all time favourite version
Charlie smiles because RollingStones are magical perfection, and he knows it!!! ♡♡♡
That guitar sounds so raw, amazing
First 48 seconds, classic with Kieth's intro, Charlie's drumming and the bass comes thumping in........love this version.
Rest in peace, Charlie.
Thanks for the memories.
Love that intro! What an amazing band they are! RIP Charlie ❤
Keith's intro 🙌
Einfach nur Traumhaft für mich der beste Song der Stones
That smile from Charlie !!! Won't see another like him ! God's Speed Charlie !
I loved the way Charlie smiled at Keith
A signature song that will always define the stones and the 60’s.
I remember this concert very well, at the Parc des Princes stadium.

This is one of the best Rolling Stones that you ever heard.
Absolutely amazing!!!!!!!! That opening….magic. ❤
1990 seemed like yesterday, how young the Stones look, even then the song was nearly 1/4 century old, a song I remember well from my wild n hazy 60s childhood. 😊
Charlie was a very under rated member of the band . To me he was the powerhouse with the drum beat .
I only started noticing it when he was already missing. A true powerhouse like you said.

It’s a fender? More specifik?
Saw them live two times. This is a great video.
Watts, Keith, & Bill are on fire..one of the best tours..the guitars, amps, coming off their solo projects and features

Love how this song has been played in slightly different styles but I want to see the MOST BADASS PERFORMANCE OF THIS SONG OF ALL TIME
Charlie is always good - best drummer ever...my son is in a band and I tell him to watch and listen to Mr Watts as much as he can......a fine musician and by far the best 'range' of any drummer...

one of the greatest rockbands on earth
The greatest rock band on earth.
Awesome intro best one I’ve heard to this song
I see a red door
And I want it painted black
No colors anymore
I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by
Dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head
Until my darkness goes
I see a line of cars
And they're all painted black
With flowers and my love
Both never to come back
I've seen people turn their heads
And quickly look away
Like a newborn baby
It just happens everyday
I look inside myself
And see my heart is black
I see my red door
I must have it painted black
Maybe then, I'll fade away
And not have to face the facts
It's not easy facing up
When your whole world is black
No more will my green sea
Go turn a deeper blue
I could not foresee this thing
Happening to you
If I look hard enough
Into the setting sun
My love will laugh with me
Before the morning comes
I see a red door
And I want it painted black
No colors anymore
I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by
Dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head
Until my darkness goes
I wanna see it painted
Painted black
Black as night
Black as coal
I wanna see the sun
Blotted out from the sky
I wanna see it painted, painted, painted
Painted black, yeah

Best version ever of this song.
Mick rocks as usual!!!!

+Oscar Torres They changed the key from F Harmonic Minor to D Harmonic Minor. Our British Invasion Tribute Band plays it in E harmonic minor.
1990 seemed like yesterday, how young the Stones look, even then the song was nearly 1/4 century old, a song I remember well from my wild n hazy 60s childhood. 😊
ライブバージョンではこれが一番好き!ビルのドウードウーベースも聴けるし。スティールホイールズツアーではこの日が一番好きかも?
i LOVE the rolling stones!!!!
Lifetime music, thank you Charlie Watts
thanks
Goats Head Soup was my first album!
The best version of this song
Brilliant.
Ich widme diesen Song meinem Stiefvater: Hein. Du warst mir ein besserer Vater als es mein leiblicher je gewesen ist.
Ruhe in Frieden mein Freund. Du wirst für immer in meinem Herzen sein. Habe Dich unwahrscheinlich lieb.

Thanks for upload
Classic one!
Thanks for the video! Waiting for more here! =)
Excellent
This was the first Stones song that really grabbed me as well as any Beatles song. I hadn't been much of a fan till then, but my "ear" is such that I prefer pieces that are written in a "minor" as opposed to "major" key. Those of you who "know" music and/or are musicians know "Black" couldn't be more "minor" sounding lol. I still love the tune!
