Sharing the Robust Marine Environment at Diablo Canyon Cove and Tidepools

As part of its operations, Diablo Canyon Power Plant discharges warmer water into the ocean, resulting in changes within Diablo Cove, which is located adjacent to the plant. The area is also affected through natural phenomena such as El Nino and winter storm events. As a result, there is a greater occurrence of warm-water loving species coexisting with cold-water loving species in the Cove.
