Nice video ❤️ I lived on STT for 30 odd years . Next time try "Hook Line and Sinker" located in French Town. Teddy Lutes is the owner. He, his wife and staff will take good care of you and the food is great. 😋

The dollar taxi are a good as well..cheaper than normal taxi. Nice experience because you can see the island but you definitely should be close to the main road to get on and off. Great video!

My husband had experience driving on the "wrong" side of the road in the UK, so for him it has never been a big deal to drive. (I let him do all of it. LOL) If you have never been there and are driving, try to be back at your accommodations by dark. Roads, as you said, are STEEP and very twisty (Donkey Hill, anyone?). You won't be able to drive very fast anywhere. At night, there is zero street lighting outside the populated towns. There are little to no shoulders on the side of the road, and you'll discover many locals walk along these roads at night wearing zero reflective clothing. You WILL NOT see them until you're right on top of them. We have always stayed at Limetree Beach Club (Formerly Bluebeard's Beach Club). Not all-inclusive (I don't think anyplace is all inclusive on St. Thomas) but it has two restaurants, a pool bar, and a small store with food, coffee, and beach items. But the resort is not designed to accommodate large groups and definitely not a party spot. But it's gorgeous and you'll see at least 2-3 weddings a week on the beach.
Love the veggie burgers at Tap & Still. :) We always go there at least once during our trips.

Great tips pretty much on point i might say. I live here so you did good. Not sure who told you about not getting alcohol on Sundays....you can get alchool any day at anytime. During the time you came though there was a restriction due to covid and places had to stop serving alcohol by 11 pm that icluded gas stations but now those restrictions are lifted. Groceries are expensive here no moatter which supermarket you go to but Moes is a little higher but they are preferred. Other than that great tips.
Hey quick question , is everything back to normal now ? When i traveled last summer they didn’t serve alcohol after 11 and no night scene pretty much .. loved it though

Great video. I am planning a girls trip of 6 for the summer. We do not want to rent a car due to driving on the left and the narrow and small roads they have. We will be doing a hotel and I wanted to know how the taxis situation like. I made an itinerary of traveling from activities we will be doing each day but like we would need to take like 3 taxis most days to get around.
Note taxis charge per person per trip $6-$10 for wherever you wanna go ..

This is a great question! Cash or debit/credit is fine. Always keep some cash though because the last day of my trip electricity went out on the island for a little and it affected the card swipe machines.

How much cash would you suggest to take for about 5 days?
Its hard to give an estimate. It really depends on if you have the excursions you want to do booked ahead of time. If you do, the most you would need $$ for is getting around and food. I would $500-600. You most likely won’t spend all (especially if you’re also taking a credit card) but that’s a safe estimate.
Looks like inclusive resort will be better for us.

From what I read, you no longer need to take a Covid test or wear a mask in the USVI

If you show them your vaccine card you dont need a negative covid test. I just got back two days ago though. Maybe it has changed since you were there.
I went in the beginning of Sept. so it has probably updated since then.
