I am the closest thing in real life to one of these guys and I owe my amazing life and true abilities to the artists that gave us these movies! I am not even close to a ki blast yet lol!! I was able to hold life and death in my hands because of the power I had from training from 5 years old till adulthood! That really did scare me! We are really capable of unbelievable power! If I did not have a good mother and father I would have been a true villain! Because of them and in movies good always wins I saved many lives and made a real difference to thousands of people. I was the lucky one! Many of my friends and fellow fighters found fast ends! If I was truly a powerful person I could have saved them! I wish the world was as simple as this anime was as a child!! In real life the good guy never lives like I have! I am the only living one out of my class and i am 46 and truly loved the life of a movie! Except the bad guys are always out of reach and all we can. Do is fight the Battle in front of us! I wish I could have fixed the world with my fists!! Only Good can help us now!!
happy 35th anniversary street fighter!!!(wish we'd see another street fighter movie/anime in this style.:3) always took the flashes when ryu pummels the daylights out of m. bison as him trying to block it with psycho power but ryu being that strong it actually broke through as well as kinda similar to the fight with sagat shoryukenning him before defeating him with a hadoken only we fully see it.
24 years ago I watched this unforgettable movie but today I recognized how beautiful and emotional is the Japanese version.I m more than grateful to every Japanese person who was sweating blood to make this lovely masterpiece...
FINALLY I FOUND THE JAPANESE VERSION!!! I don't know how long this will stay up, but once again THANKS!! I tire of the dub version, and something about the soundtrack, how it starts out mellow and then builds up , just like the action
The fight scenes from this older Street Fighter movie is far superior to the newer versions. A shame that a sequel was never made for this movie. It'd be cool to see Ryu vs Akuma or even Akuma vs Goken.
When the Hadoken was an actual finishing move and had some majesty to it. When I was a kid, I remember the scene where Ken tried to fire his Hadoken at T. Hawk. I thought the reason Ken couldn't charge it was that T. Hawk wasn't evil and that the Hadoken only worked on evil people. While I learned differently as time went on and we got more back story, still loved how the story still kept a few things shrouded in mystery.
For those who don't know, the three Shadallo bosses had their names swapped outside the Japanese version: The Boxer, Mike Bison became Balrog because they didn't wanted to leave a villain based on "Mike Tyson" The Dictactor's name, Vega, was considered kinda weak, so he became "M. Bison". The Claw's original name was Balrog, but his original name was given to the Boxer, and he got the Dictactor's original name. Maybe this isn't the true history behind the changes, but it's the information i have.
Discotek releasing that English dub with the Japanese soundtrack made a whole lot of difference for me, made me a lot more fond of the English dub. I never liked the American soundtrack, too much electric guitar. The Japanese ost had far more emotion that reflected the scenes, so combining that with the English voices, which were great for an anime dub, just made this film even more of a masterpiece than it already was. Thats the dub I watch now, English with Japanese music. Can't get enough of it 😁😁
This is awesome, I'd forgotten how great the Japanese version was. I love both of course but this version just seems to have something special, maybe it's the great music. Anyway, thanks for the upload.
happy 30th anniversary street fighter 2: the animated movie!!! (favorite video game film period & definitely favorite anime final battle especially the song being about ryu & ken's bond against the toughest fight of their lives showing them being stronger than it which after seeing it brought into the alpha games/capcom's tag team aspects because the producers loved this film i'd love the games replicating for 6 since the singer for this came back just with chun li/cammy/juri/maybe sakura involved.:3) the part where ryu immediately gets up from m. bison's slide having enough in him to wallop the shit out of the dictator(always took the flashes as bison trying to use psycho power to soften the blow but ryu still able to pierce past than what he expected.)after getting knocked down/blasted by psycho power blast that floored guile after being worn out by endurance(showing the difference between guile being unfocused with emotion which chun li warned him about compared to ryu/ken/likely chun li if she got involved in the final battle which i wish happened staying focused on dealing with their threat). in real pragmatism grabbing his legs so he doesn't try to get away so ken get strike him with the whirlwind kick/in a echo to sagat's fight nail him with the shoryuken to hit him with the hadouken & the sonic boom the double hadouken makes when being fired at bison sending him into the vtol just as he's about to use his psycho power to escape.(he does but is implied it took a lot of it out of him to escape with how he just decides after his organization gets nuked by interpol's team up with the military and failing to get ryu with psycho power/fighting on their own level with his bare hands just decides to as a last resort use a truck to run over ryu which nowadays find extremely hilarious with how earlier ryu kicked through a shadaloo car with no injury to beat it's driver up a truck isn't going to do much.)
You have to be impressed that despite that in the 2 v 1 fight, Bison/Vega (Dictator) was still strong fighting both Ryu and Ken with just his fists and not using Psycho Power. P.S. - They brought this song by for SF6.
the movie really is full of awesome. This part especially. It kinda codified the look of the characters while also having an impact on them in the future. This brawny look especially is evident. Especially outside japan since some posters have different art, and it was all over the place, so we had to rely the game sprits and portraits. Also they tried doing other SF movies but none come close. It really is the best animation and spin of it. Maybe the best video game movie but that's not hard right. It's a good spin off. In general games have a hard time transitioning to even anime and manga(and of course movies). The best from the fighting games to movies too though some other ones are okay enough.
It's the original US localization of Street Fighter the arcade that got it wrong. And because of that mistake, subsequent SF releases in the US kept the wrong names. Vega is the correct name of the main bad guy. Bison is supposed to be the boxer (a play on word of Mike Tyson), and Balrog is the claw guy.
Capcom got some insane artist for this movie. It's absolutely stunning! No wonder Marvel trusted them to do their games. Btw anyone notice evil Ken in this movie sounds exactly like Adon from SF Alpha?? Can anyone tell me if It's the same voice actor?? I'm very curious 🤔
i can never find the music for this battle on youtube now...always the US version >_> at least someone was smart enough to post the japanese version of this scene
that goes for mario (originally known as Jumper man in japan) and Megaman(orignally known as Rockman) as well as Dr. Eggman (aka Robotnic) it didnt change the source material just the name, now if you want to talk about changing the material and the names, just look at every anime ever dubbed by 4kids
Another translation for the flip throw is "I believe i've registered a hit, perhaps it's time I faced you as a true martial artist!", then after Ryuu beats him slightly, he remarks "To have overtaken me, if only for a moment, who is this man named Ryuu?!"
He LET them beat him, kwowing HE was the villain who had to be defeated😕 Being stronger than both of them combined, even without his psycho abilities, he could’ve easily dodged that fused hadouken sphere
It would be INCREDIBLE to see Vega (or M. Bison in the english versions😑) appear as a playable character in Smash Ultimate. Even though Sakurai and his team have stopped making dlc fighters…😔
They didn't "Get the names wrong." They changed them because Capcom was afraid Mike Tyson would take offense and sue. And the US names actually fit better (Vega actually is a Spanish name)
The only better part of the Japanese audio is the song that plays during the Ryu and Ken vs. Bison part. I think Street Fighter has always secretly been an American game... I mean, it's made in Japan by the Japanese, but it's always been more popular here than there...
Does anybody know the name of the song (japanese version) where Ryu first starts fighting Bison/Vega after Bison/Vega throws Ken outta the way or where I can find it? It is sort of a sad melidous piano tune. Thanks
the dialog, of course, is much better. the dubbed version can't begin to compare, but i have to give the nod to the english version as far as music is concerned, particularly the final fight between ken, ryu, and bison. it just fit the chaos so much better.
I'll be honest when I ask respond or m essageif you would read it...I'm contemplating doing a fanfic For this scene....just up to snuff sort of with alpha elements like...example...with her potential....and being someone ryu would not fight if she was in this position....sakura in kens place. And perhaps other elements as well Also if it gets enough likes maybe revamp the whole movie to include more alpha characters
To me, if you're changing the original source material, then you're getting it wrong. Period. I don't care what sounds better in English. It's a Japanese game. Vega in Japanese is spelled "Bega". There's no "V" in the Japanese alphabet. Bison's character is directly modeled after Tyson. So to change that because they were afraid the real Tyson would sue is just dumb. Not that a lawsuit like that would've gone anywhere anyway since they're not actually using his name.
Well the concept of Chi originated from china, so It would make sense that even though Ansatsuken is japanese it has some deep rooted Chinese principles behind it. btw do you know the exact translations for what he was saying in the chant?
Just want to thank all those japanese artistis that helped build our childhood, ty
I am the closest thing in real life to one of these guys and I owe my amazing life and true abilities to the artists that gave us these movies! I am not even close to a ki blast yet lol!! The part at 11:27 when Ryu gets up from Bison/Vega's slide and counters always gives me goosebumps. So awesome.
Yeah, its one of the best fighting sequences i've ever seen, even compared to real movies. The transition!
n b4 this he took a beating frm ken and even harder frm bison, ryu s a real tough son o a bitch
A+B
happy 35th anniversary street fighter!!!(wish we'd see another street fighter movie/anime in this style.:3)

The whirlwind kick and the rising dragon punch gave me goosebumps.
I growed up with this cartoon...those were happiest moments in my life...thanks Capcom! :)
I was 9 years old, bought this VHS at NYC comic-con 94...So many memories.
Damn lol you have an good childhood memories
"You're as good as I expected. You hit me."
What the CPU M.Bison would say to any player who played on hard difficulty...
😂😂😂😂
this movie is a masterpiece......nothing needs improvement
The last minute of this fight stands as one of the greatest anime scenes of all time imho nevermind the whole movie being one of the greatest.
June 19 1994, Ca, University Hayward,, First Fanime con, this movie was the main event,,it was awesome,,, I was there
24 years ago I watched this unforgettable movie but today I recognized how beautiful and emotional is the Japanese version.I m more than grateful to every Japanese person who was sweating blood to make this lovely masterpiece...
Cringe loser describes garbage

My favorite anime movie ever and THE greatest soundtrack ever. God tier music and fights
I love when Ken shows up to fight Vega. One of the best 2v1 fights ever.
When the Hadoken was an actual finishing move and had some majesty to it. When I was a kid, I remember the scene where Ken tried to fire his Hadoken at T. Hawk. The best Street Fighter anime/movie and the best fight ever and forever,OSU!!!!!!!!!!
@The RebTek Channel CCWDK
Best Street Fighter movie ever!
This music is godly, especially right at 4:45
The song is called
Life and Death Sruggle
@@tc-dynamite thanks!

I perfer their original Japanese names because it's suits them well👍💯

Best.
Ending.
Ever.
(it's probably the movie i have most version XD the VHS, DVD, Blu Ray and in the PS2 Anniversary Collection XD)
el tema de fondo del min. 4:45 lo encuentro magnífico. Se llama "Life and Death Struggle" del OST de la película.....
God damn, I love this movie sooo much 😭

Ultra Street Fighter ll The Final Challenger
Violent Ken
Dramatic Mode
Song name is Itoshisa to setsunasa to tokoro tsuyosa to...if I'm not mistaken
One of the best game to anime adaptations👍
Bison started to teleport in the games after this movie came out. Street Fighter Alpha series was heavily inspired by this movie.
EPICNESS.
You also gotta love the insert songs from the 90's
dual hadoken so fucking epic

3:50 used to kind of freak me out a little as a kid back in the day.
The soundtrack is awesome
Wonder if the last fight scene in endgame between ironman, thor, cap vs Thanos took a little inspiration from this. Feel similar
Capcom got some insane artist for this movie. It's absolutely stunning! No wonder Marvel trusted them to do their games. Btw anyone notice evil Ken in this movie sounds exactly like Adon from SF Alpha?? Can anyone tell me if It's the same voice actor?? I'm very curious 🤔
best anime movie of all time
In the Japanese version of Street Fighter Bison had the name of "Vega". Look it up
My favorite anime fight ever at the end.
i can never find the music for this battle on youtube now...always the US version >_>
at least someone was smart enough to post the japanese version of this scene
that goes for mario (originally known as Jumper man in japan) and Megaman(orignally known as Rockman) as well as Dr. Eggman (aka Robotnic) it didnt change the source material just the name, now if you want to talk about changing the material and the names, just look at every anime ever dubbed by 4kids
shadaloo has so much excess cash that
m.bison can levitate, teleport and fly on his own but he still has an aircraft to get around.
Another translation for the flip throw is "I believe i've registered a hit, perhaps it's time I faced you as a true martial artist!", then after Ryuu beats him slightly, he remarks "To have overtaken me, if only for a moment, who is this man named Ryuu?!"
You left out Bison/Vegas salty runback where he's yelling about his stick being broken demanding a rematch
Ur crazy Jesus fry bread.. The music in original version is superb.. The entire soundtrack

0:56 - I guess E. Honda will be getting a check from INTERPOL?
3:08 SHA SHA SHA SHA SHA SHA SHA SHA SHA SHA
US Vega is Balrog in Japan. US Balrog being M.Bison in Japan.
What Ken says at 8:20 onwards? There is no translation on that part.
Nostalgia.
This is the REAL ANIME.
Enjoy x33
the best sf movie
Tsuruga Ami (Cafe Terrace Familia goddess) seal of approval!
11:55 from here till the end, BEST PART and nice song

TATSUMAKI SENPUUKYAKU!!! 12:12
SHORYUKEN!
Cuantos recuerdos
Best scene of all movies
I'm all American PR and BLK, but I love the Japanese version much much better. Thumbs up.
9:45 This song will be in Street Fighter 6.
Japanese version is so much better..the oldskool jpop rocks with the m.bison final battle..gives me chills everytime..
Is the final hadoken rotoscoped with live actors mixed in the frames?
You Win!, not perfect but Win!, Round two, Fight"!
Is this Pat Metheny in the background music?
6:21 what that soundtrack???
When ryu got pinned against that wall, ken put 10 hot one's under that nigga with max authority... Lmao
Ryu and Ken crossed the streams...
the best anime ever
The defeat of bison was reassured when he fought them as a martial artist.
The best movie of stf
Nov 2024 ❤
Those are some good examples too.
it's nice to discuss something in good terms, hehe :)
la mejor pelicula de street fighter por lejos! la musica parece de pat metheny,es?
the dialog, of course, is much better. the dubbed version can't begin to compare, but i have to give the nod to the english version as far as music is concerned, particularly the final fight between ken, ryu, and bison. it just fit the chaos so much better.
nice
Im glad I could find this, but aside from the final song "Itoshisato Setsunasato Kokorozuyosato", I much prefer the US and UK versions.
Japanese version of Bison was called Vega I believe
11:49. Bison/Vega looked at him.
DAAAAMn I LIKE THIS MOVIE .....!!!!!!!
UT THE TRANSLATING IS WRONG MY FRIEND !!
THANKX ANYWAY ..
It is a different music to us/mexican version
Does anybody know the name of the song at 10:21? I need that on my ipod asap
(10:22) What is the name of the song?
The Japanese version, as in most cases with anime, is far superior compared to the dubbed counterparts. Its just so much more authentic.
Top esse filme

Ken chanting Chinese Tai-chi principles....when he's a practitioner of Japanese martial arts. Mmkay.
Well the concept of Chi originated from china, so It would make sense that even though Ansatsuken is japanese it has some deep rooted Chinese principles behind it. btw do you know the exact translations for what he was saying in the chant?
hmm must be an mistake because even in the japanese series/comics Bison is still Bison
12:13 shoryuken
I like Street Fighter 4, but I would have liked it 20x better if they would have made Bison the final boss again, especially if he was more like this.
what is the music at 10:23
