A lot of it does. But Lwandile learned to scream and growl from scratch and I'm so glad he carried over some of the same vocal techniques we are used to hearing in a Vulvodynia banger!
It sounds the same due to double cupping a mic. Anyone sounds like this when they do this.
What's wrong with sounding like Duncan? Removing anything he actually did irl, he was a fantastic vocalist, so keeping a simlar style isn't bad.
The best ive heard so far, you guys killed it! Sounds like there is some Infant Annihilator influence in there which is honestly a really good thing, keep it up!

I loved Duncan, he was one of those vocalists that had charisma (in his voice I mean) and you could easily identify him but fuck man Lwandille keeps the style of Vulvodynia in vocals but he adds those screams that have always been heavier and more brutal than Lorna Shore or Infant Annihilator's vocals 💀🙏🏼

2:06 I haven't been a fan of recent Vulvodynia, but that sudden injection of slam just hit right
Lwandile is doing a fine job adjusting to being the vocalist
as for the music it is a little too tech driven and fast paced for me
I liked the groovy and polished approach on the previous album and prefer any of the tracks on the music videos over this one but it is still really good
probably just have to get used to the new sound in order to develop better appreciation
still a fan and excited to see what happens with the other tracks on the album
Duncan had really great vocals and presence also he fit the past music perfectly and simply cant be replaced by anyone so it is sad to see him not around anymore
however I am really glad that vulvodynia kept it in house instead of getting a new guy

I really like how this sounds and Lwandile has turned out to be a better vocalist than I thought he'd be, but jeez, those vocals are mixed muddy as all fuck. Highs also need a little work, but they're servicable, probably screwed a bit by that production. Everything else is stellar though!
