I had the pleasure to be on the launch team for this book. His story is beautiful unfolding of HIS (Jesus) story over Granger, Amber and their whole family. I pray everyone read this story, it’s life changing.

I lost my son in 2017. Losing your child is a pain like nothing else on this earth. May God hold you and your family close to Him until that glorious day when you and River are reunited!

Hey everyone. We need to be the hands and feet for spreading the word for this book. I think one way we can do that is to review the book on the platform where we purchased it.

We watched you on Fox’s News Channel this morning… my husband & I had tears rolling down our cheeks watching you & Amber. I added a box of tissues to my beach bag…reading it next week on vacation! God bless you for sharing the hard stuff with this journey through grief. Can’t wait to read this book!

Got my copy today. Started listening to it while driving to go shopping for a birthday gift and quickly realized I shouldn't be listening to this before going shopping and while driving as the tears ran down my face. What horrible pain and loss you have been through. The hardest part of living this life is loving so much and losing them. The pain is horrific. We feel so alone. I know there have to be lessons, but why do they have to be so hard. And the timing. You went from your best day to your worst, no warning, no mercy. Just thrown right into the worst experience ever. Why does life have to be so brutal. We appreciate our loved ones, and we cherish them tonthe highest possible level that we can imagine then to have them taken away. It's so confusing and sad. Granger, you are strong. You don't feel like it, but you are. You are always moving forward and improving your life. You are inspiring and really amazing. This book does mean something. It means everything. God bless all of you ❤

I watched part of this video earlier today, and before you mentioned anything about your dad, I thought to myself, I'm gonna order this book and see if it helps me with my grief. - and then you mentioned your father had passed away, and that hit me like a brick, because my grief is also because of my dad. My dad passed away on the 20th of this month. We just had his funeral and said our farewells this past Thursday. This is also my first big loss that has me grieving more than any other that has happened. My husband and I just recently moved back home, to be closer to family, our plans involved doing things and making memories with my dad. We haven't even been here 2 months. I saw him one time, on Father's Day this year. My heart hurts. It's one of those things where I feel like everything happens for a reason, and for us to just be moved in and settled and here, and then he's just here one minute, and gone the next. It hurts to know that we can't do those things. He wanted to see our new house, and meet our 4 cats. It's really hurting. - I'm going to buy this book when I get off work. I'm going to see if I can find it at Barnes & nobles, but if not, I will buy it online. And I'll let you know how it helps me. Thank you, Granger. Can't help but feel like you wrote and released this book just in time. ❤❤❤ much love. - KJ

I'm very sorry for your loss. I'm not sure how much of Granger or Amber's stuff you watch, but Granger says something often that I'm hoping might help you the way it has helped me. It is said that grief is the price we pay for losing someone that we love, and the depth of grief we experience is in direct proportion to the amount of love for that person. In a case where the love is as deep as what you describe here, don't be surprised if this takes a significant amount of time, and be patient with yourself as you travel this new journey. In time, there will probably be well-meaning people in your life that will think it's been long enough, and they might even say to you that it's time you moved on. Well, moving on is a myth. You don't move on from a loss like this, but it is important that you move forward. Grief doesn't travel a predictable path, and we all have to find our own way through it. Moving forward will be easier some days, and that's okay, and some days all you can manage is moving from one step to another, and that's okay too. Lean on God, lean on your husband, lean on your family, find a community of believers to walk with you through this. The mountain may seem insurmountable right now, but you don't have to travel it right now, and you don't have to travel it alone. Who knows, maybe you felt compelled to move here because your father's time on earth was coming to and end, and now you'll be there to go through this with your family. They can help you, and you can help them. This is something I believe about my personal experience of suddenly losing my dad almost 10 years ago. I hope the book can bring you guidance and comfort.

God bless you & your family Granger. I love how you've handled this whole situation of taking your tragedy & helping others. You are so right on when you say God's will will be done. Nothing can thwart God's plan. His plan & His timing are always perfect. I'm involved in prison ministry where we send Bibles, dictionaries & Christian books to inmates & I have a feeling that after I've listen to the audio version of Like A River that I purchased last night I'm going to want to buy some hard copies to add to our library for Inmates to request. I know this book is going to help soooo many people deal with loss & surrender everything to God. I pray for you all always, again God bless you all & God speed to your ministry to expand His kingdom. AMEN

Such a vulnerable take on such a huge loss. Thank you for sharing this. It makes me so sad that you had "haters" trying to pin the guilt and blame on you. You've come a long way in your grief and your music. I will always be a supporter of you.

So I went back and looked at my meet and greet pictures from February 2020. I thought he was doing great but now I know he was hurting non-stop. The man was skinny and had tired eyes I know that most of us prayed for him and his family through the years. Just look at him now!!! There is purpose. God bless the Smith's. Yee Yee

I was 7 when we lost my brother. He drown at our island . I was standing on the back dock when my Dad jumped in and found him . Dad pulled him up from the bottom and immediately started CPR , but he didn’t make it . That was in 1962 yet still today I’m really uncomfortable around water .
