    Great video, as always.
My first motoring memory was my dad telling me his Volvo 440 had wings and could fly. At the time, I believed him. He used to fly to school to pick me up every day, but then just drive home...

    First motoring memory:
VW Bug, Dad driving, he was 6’1” Mom in the passenger seat, with my twin brother on her lap, 4 bigger brothers and sisters in the back seat, myself and my younger brother in the little place behind the back seat. That’s nine people BTW, before seat belt regulations! It was hilarious watching people count how many people would come out of that little car.

Mine is a black xc90 03/04 with 181 k on the clock and still doing 32mpg not bad for a 2.5 ton 4x4
A while ago I read that since xc90’s were first made no one has died in them, passenger or driver that’s why I’m glad I drive an Volvo

Really appreciate that you show the car being cleaned with the seats inside. Goes to show that a stellar job can still be done even if the seats weren't taken out. You can reach with long tools and still get the dirt out! I loved this restoration. I need my head lamps looked after too.

First motoring memories: 1967-68, Tampa, Florida, sitting in the hatch of my dad's Opel Kadett B estate, riding on Kennedy Drive. Watching my parents try to bring a Morris Minor 1000 back to roadworthy condition. I was a toddler.

My first motoring memory was in 1983/4, I was about 10 yo, and my Grandad used to let me drive his shining red Fiat 850 Coupe in his driveway, and taught me how to operate the pedals and how to park. It was awesome! I was feeling adult, and most important this sparked my passion for motoring that endures even today. Gary thank you for your questions, they are a good way to bring up some good memories! Cheers! Greetings from Italy! 🇮🇹

My first car related memory was my grandfather loading a tree stump into the trunk back in 1960. The stump was dug out of a dry lake bed. My mom wanted it to make a planter to decorate the entry. My grandfather thought the idea was ridiculous and a heated disagreement ensued. Mom got her stump and it decorated her entryway for the next 25 years. My next car memory was laying in the rear window of my dads Simca as a 5 year old. My brother still has that car.

I was 4 years old, in my mom's 1975 Volvo 245 wagon. We were going up a super steep hill in Harpursville NY in the dead of winter during a storm. Halfway up, she lost traction, and did 3 360s and landed facing down hill facing my uncle in his yellow Camaro. It was super fun for me, but my sister and mom were screaming. Needless to say, we spent the night at a friend's house in the valley.

An old WW2 airfield in Hornchurch, Essex had been converted into a set of roadways for people to learn to drive without licence. Had lights and zebra crossings etc. Lots of us learners just drove round learning to change gear, brake etc. Went there with my dad when 16rs old (1966). Sadly now a housing estate!

Earliest motoring memory: Taking the train down to Devon with my Dad, to collect a Morris Mini Traveller from an aunt. Then we drove the 180 or so miles back home. We'd not had a family car before that so I thought it was dead cool. I was seven.

It was my birthday last month and I asked family to get me some of the stuff you recommended. I got the Detailing brushes and big towels, then got the silicone spray with bday money. Hello Pal! Apologies incase anyone has mentioned this before - but i watched an AMMO NYC video recently and he polished headlights. He said when you do that, it strips the UV protection and they will soon dull/yellow pretty quick, so you may have to apply some UV protection liquid to help give it a resistance again. Just a possible tip! aw the best!

I remember when I lived in the cold state of Minnesota in the winters I would come down the alley alongside my garage do a handbrake 180 turn into my garage . Could only do this in the winter when there were snow on the road, would require too much speed and be far too dangerous to try it in the summer though! Not my first memory of motoring but it certainly made fun coming home some days.

One of my first driving memories was when I was about 4 and my dad let me sit on his lap to help drive his Hillman Avenger up the drive into the garage. But I got annoyed as he was really steering the car, I just had my hands on the wheel, so yanked the wheel to the right n smashed the corner a bit 🤣. Have you ever tried using Anti Static foam cleanser spray for plastics? I got the idea from when I used to fix car stereos, we used it to clean the fronts of the radios, and also the metal chassis. I started using it on the dash and side pillars, and if I got a drink spill on seats you can sometimes get rid of it by scrubbing that into it. But having seen this G101, will try that, but wouldn’t mind a good steam cleaner too!

The first time I drove was when I was 15 had to take my dad to the hospital emergency center. It was a truck with a manual transmission on the steering column and I was scared to death. Shifting gears was not my specialty and it jerked back and forth with every shift. The 20km from the house to the ER forced me to learn to drive and I didn't have my license yet. Safe to say my dad had a kidney stone which was fixed that night.

1985, my dad took me to a dirt road and taught me how to drive a stick shift Honda Civic. I was 7. I have since been a car fanatic.

I used to rent a taxis before I bought my own and I once picked up an Octavia with 320k on the clock and that very same thought entered my head.

I don't think you can ever fully remove a good toot out of fabric. It's all about layers.

I am so surprised in how good condition the leather seats are in because I work on the older p2 platform Volvo’s and most of them that I get have awful cracked seats but these Volvo’s are amazing. Every single one.

@@AndreiAndrei-rt4po I just love all the Volvo's but not really a big fan of the big v8s in the xc90 but my favorite year is the 2007 v70, she is a beauty. That amazing 5 cylinder engine.

As long as the leather is cleaned and conditioned as it should.. there is no problems with it. Not only with volvo but with every other make (leather shoes included)
