I'm retired, live in an apartment, I grow 6 trays of micro greens daily for continuous harvest. I eat a microgreen salad daily and dehydrate the rest for my son and daughters smoothies. You are right, it's not for everyone. I'm 72 with health issues and I actually like microgreens. This is working for me.
I like microgreens but I am not receiving a paycheck right now and growing things bigger is more fillng. When it was for health, I liked the microgreens because sprouts and microgreens have more nutrition.
I love and use your downspout system to grow all my salad greens. But to save on seed costs, and for timing the crop, I start seedlings individually in oasis grow cubes. A small frozen food tray with the great self watering paper towel trick you taught us will start up to 18 seedlings. These are easy to lift off the paper towel without damaging the roots. I wrap the cube in a piece of pool noodle like you taught us. But then I put the pool noodle seedling in a Dixie cup with the lower half cut off, so the noodle hangs in the top half of the cup and the cube and roots touch the water below. Just cut 6 holes in a freezer tub's lid to hang the cups in and you've got a 6 pack of seedlings that can begin growing but save space. Then when they get a bit larger, just transfer the cups to the rain gutter you made. Really great for easy, selective transplanting without ever disturbing the roots. I took some pics to share but I don't have your email. Is there a way to send them in? I think folks might find it helpful. Thanks for turning us on to such a great way to grow greens!
I'm confused by this but it sounds like it would be a good method to use, I wish I could understand better. What is the "cube" you are talking about, and what type of frozen food try do you mean? If I could understand that, I would probably be able to picture what you are saying better. At first I thought you meant an ice cube tray but that isn't a food tray, so I'm not sure...
I use them every day. I make a juice with broccoli radish kale sunflower Dunn peas and beetroot . I am growing about 15 trays a week (10/20 trays) inside a 1.5x1.5x2mtr grow tent and lights. I’ve only been supplying myself and family but am about to start offering them for sale to select people.
Hi Shu775. What method are you using for the 10x20 trays? Soil, coco, or just hydro? Have you seen the "IHG" method Brent Montgomerey uses? I ask because I've been researching it. Thanks.

Hello I am a 79 years old yoga instructor . From Yuma yap even hotter than your place. Thank you for your program. I did start microgreen about year ago. Now I am trying some ather way like kratky system. Thank you again
Growing baby greens is great, too! I hated kale until I tried it as baby greens. I don’t believe in a food that takes 45 minutes to chew. Baby Kale is different, better tasting, easier to chew.
I gave up buying seed packets for microgreens. I eat a TON of microgreens. I started buying deer browse seed. By the jug (3lbs for $20). My favorite mix is called Big Sexy and is a wonderful mix of daikon, purple top turnip, brocolini and kale.
As always, your videos are an inspiration as I continue to progress with my journey of growing my own food. You are always very encouraging and optimistic. I've always failed in gardening. But you give me hope. I love how economically you encourage us to grow food and making it look so easy. Because funds are so tight, rather than buying seeds, I decided to try sprouting some spaghetti squash seeds and bell pepper seeds that I saved from food I purchased at the grocery store last year and saved the seeds. I don't think I saved the seeds correctly, but I decided to give them a try. To my surprise, I have a bunch of little spaghetti squash seedlings, waiting for it to get warm enough to put them outside in the buckets I plan to stack outside the way you showed us. And, after 4 weeks, my bell pepper seeds are just beginning to sprout. They are so tiny, and I hope that they will thrive. I should have started with microgreens first because when you show us how fast they grow...so plush...I think that is exciting. But I had these seeds already. I am looking forward to doing more of what you do. You're the master!!! Your ideas are genius and I am so thankful to you. You've given me so much hope. Thank you so much!!! God bless you!!!!!!!
I just posted a short video. I did string beans in your hydroponics method. I had planted it from seeds and than transplanted it in these small buckets that a neighbor through out. It seems to be working very well. Thank you for all you do Mr. Mike 🙌🏽❤️
I grow microgreens in the winter when I can't grow outside. We eat them almost everyday between the mixed microgreens and alfalfa sprouts. A big handful per person. It's so nce to have that freshness in the wintertime.
I grow spouts on a consistent basis. Love them. My husband eats a huge salad daily. However, he doesn't add my spouts to his salads. I'm trying to have him incorporate but it is a challenge. I love the spicy ones too. OMG! True Leaf is my favorite too!
I started exploring microgreens last year and decided to not invest before trying on a small basis, ended up going with Hamana but due to getting started in the winter it was very slow to germinate and I got discouraged. I canceled subscription and put the remaining 3 seed quilts in the fridge. Summer came around and the seed quilts were a success but I decided it was too much for the subscription and I wanted to try growing on my own. Fast forward to a month ago I grew the last seed quilt for a friend who has Cancer and got the ball rolling. My first two batches were ok, but I decided to go back and watch more videos, I needed to learn again. That’s when I found your channel🌟 Since a month now I’ve successfully grown four 4x8 trays for myself and a friend, and this week started experimenting with different containers and using soil in some and hydro in others. I can eat a whole small tray myself! Cut those and make a simple and quick sandwich. My friend with cancer bought the seeds which was a mixed greens, kale, broccoli, kohlrabi … and one other. The mix is good tasting but I’m not a fan of the different growths in one batch. She is going through Chemo and doesn’t eat well, but she says when she is able to eat she puts the greens on a sandwich, and also feeds it to her birds! Anyway, I’m hoping to try growing larger greens like lettuce and kale soon. Just need to decide which way to go, a bucket or downspout style. With cooler weather looming I want to have a good plan going and perhaps an indoor setup once winter hits when the temp in my house is typically 60 degrees. Thanks for all the ideas and sharing what you do with great guidance and inspiration.
Thankyou so much for your fabulous videos, they're awesome. Enjoying growing my own food because of you, thankyou, I've never had green fingers but you make it easy ❤
I haven't grown micro greens since I moved and am hoping to start again I loved them and kept to a goal of two 10x20 trays a week as a personal goal. I did that for quite a while love them and the way I felt. One thing I noticed was wrinkles disappeared. Must be all the vit C. So yeah, need to get back in business. Love micro greens ❤
I enjoy growing micro greens and sharing with my congregation. I use the yellow lid of the 27 gallon Costco bins for micro greens and the bottoms to do my container gardening. It produces a lot of greens to share, is a nice tiny forest to look at, and centralized in one space saving location.
This is my first time them and I bought all big 1 kg bag . Cost me £50 and they are growing really good I am really good eating them every day . Started with 5 try now after 1 month I have 10 tray now . And I need 5 more . Growing broccoli, pea , sunflower, radish , red clover , and rocket .
I have not been successful yet. I am trying to grow for health reasons. I am type 2 and need to get away from sugar and process foods. I have used Aerogarden to a small degree. I like what I see from your channel.
Love your methods.Had a much more Complicated system- way too much work.your method gives us lots of food on what we already have (old to go containers, etc.) Thanks for your inspiration!!!!!!!!!!😃
i normally grow regular size food but this year im going to start or give it a try i like my veggies with my meat and one thing a cant have is spicy because im allergic to peppers ..... but the idea of have spice without hurt sounds good and broccoli..
What I’ve been doing I grow different kinds of lettuce via your microgreens diy method with take out containers. I usually do two different kinds of lettuce in one container I imagine a sort of imaginary line in the center and I will plant one type on each side and then I’ll harvest the few that I need to grow my lettuce and then I’ll let the microgreens that are left continue to grow in the original container and I make sure there is a constant supply fo water for them and then when it’s time to harvest my other lettuce plants then I’ll cut the tops off of the microgreens and use them in my salads and it gives them a lovely crunch and in that way I don’t feel like I’m wasting any. The really interesting part is after cutting them an inch from the soil and leave them in the light they will continue to grow I don’t know it’s the ones that I cut that are continuing to grow or if it’s seeds that failed to grow the first time because it was crowded and they weren’t getting enough light? I’m honestly not sure which reason I’m just thrilled when they continue on growing and another little tip if I find the soil is starting to turn white around the edges or on top of the soil I think it’s because of a bit of fungus so I use from the drugstore 3% hydrogen peroxide it now comes in convenient easy to spray bottles and I just spray it directly over the top, it doesn’t hurt the lettuce at all and it kills off any nasty fungus or mold that may be growing. Hope it helps others. I love your saying bee the change and the caricature of you is awesome!! I’d buy a shirt with that cartoon on it with bee with change!!🥰🙏🏻🇨🇦
Wow! You are doing awesome Leanne! Thanks for the tip on the hydrogen peroxide. I have a Bee the Change shirt, just not with my cartoon face yet. I may try that. Have an awesome day.
I have done the Micro things and we just don't put a dent in them. But we love growing full blown veggie's and full leafy greens for salads and stir-fry. we started our doing hydroponics and your down spouts a year ago in conjunction with a Keto diet. My wife took off 45 lbs and I took off 70 lbs all in about 6 months and now its been a year and we haven't put any back on and it all started with following you and growing Micro greens then CB came into the picture and things went crazy from there. you've seen my videos. OH by the way I'm 74 and my wife is 69.
I grow, eat, and love microgreens. But I tried the rain gutter garden with absolute failure. I got tower gardens and used them for 3 years, but they are soooooo noisy. So, I'm back to trying something else.
Planning on starting up soon and making the investment in all the tools and seeds and such. Already have a space in the garage for winter growing test. Will most likely buy the courses too. Looking forward to it.
I stopped growing trays for this very reason Mike, I would have way more than we could eat even with a family of 3, went back to full sized plants for most things but I do love my mustard and radishes too.
I love, love, love cantaloupe micro greens and I buy the seeds in bulk. I’m not crazy about the cost, mess of the grow medium. I’ve experimented with different options and haven’t found “the one”. I saw a video using towels recently. I’m going to give that a try. I live in the desert and we have 115+ days most of the summer so I grow several things indoors with grow lights. I keep planning to grow melons outside and save seeds to save money but haven’t done that yet🙃
We grow a lot of sprouts moreso then microgreens. We have a local herbal and health food place that sells a lot of bulk loose sprouting seeds. Wheatgrass, radish, mustard, kale, chia, and others. Otherwise I kind of stick to True Leaf and Sprouthouse. I ethically can not use Johnny's for quite some time, due to them letting themselves be part of the Monsanto/Bayer problem in the world. I currently have 2 bags of kale vaccum sealed that I bought awhile back that are at least 3 lbs each. Same with yellow and brown mustard seed. Kind of ironic you post a video about microgreens the same day as mountain rose herbs. Have a great one Mike, TC and ATB, Cris.
I eat a ton of microgreens, I am even eating them with my oatmeal. I add blueberries and wow it tastes great. I am growing a lot of baby greens now. What I do is cut them for microgreens, then leave the tray to grow into baby greens. There is usually enough seeds that sprout slow that they will grow after I cut the micros. [I found this out when I forgot to replant a micro tray, I came back and had baby greens] Then if they are too thick, I harvest every other one until I get the baby green spacing I want. It works great. I also use worms in my trays, I think I am one of the only one on youtube that does this. It works great, it solves all the mold problems. I have a kale tray that is almost 2 years old and still cutting on it every week, the worms make it possible. So to answer your question, yes I eat a ton of micros and incorporate them in every meal. I am in the process of expanding my grow room. I want to experiment with all the other greens as there are hundreds of them. [take that, you who say "what are you going to eat on a whole food diet"] I always laugh when they tell me that. Most people eat 4-5 different meals that they rotate, I am discovering many unknown greens and root veggies that I could eat something different everyday for months. Purple Kohlrabi was a neat find. Growing indoors there is no pest problems and it has been so rewarding. Anyway, thanks for your content. Keep on growin :)
I love eating microgreens but too expensive to buy so I want to grow them. I've grown them before but not consistently. I want to have an efficient system so it doesn't take up a lot of my time and we can eat them every day I recently moved to Florida and we grow a lot vegetables and I also want to grow hydroponic greens in the summer. We are a big consumer of greens. I'm really liking your videos. Right now looking at how I'm going to set everything up. Thanks!
I've grown it and eaten it. Fenugreek in mutton mince with peas, with lime pickle and toast bread. My mouth waters just writing this. It's an indian dish.
I’m still growing oat wheat grass for tootsie it will only last a few weeks and then it get moldy I need to get a fan to blow on it to help it last longer thanks for sharing 😊👍🏼
We never started them as we are not fans of micro's. You sure kick major butt though. Always have the best info for folks looking at growing some. Stay safe and have a Happy 4th Weekend!

Yes, I do eat microgreens. I started with microgreens before finding Kratky hydroponics. But I am only one person and can only eat so much. That's why I'm also growing hydroponically.
Hey man, I'm new to your channel and I'm glad I found you! I don't know where in FL you;re at but here in the middle, its 95+ every day for a week so far. It sucks. I'm considering getting into growing but I need to figure out where to setup. I want to row outside, possibly using the Kratky method so I can keep it cheap. Just gotta figure out a spot :)
I’m going to start growing lettuce and spinach inside with hydroponics. I like the idea of the soil mat, but if I’m going the hydroponic route then i want to exclude soil altogether. What medium can i use instead of soils when germinating and sprouting my seeds. Thanks so much. Love your videos.
Mike, I am setting up my system and bought some rockwool, but it's got some bad press, and I really would rather use something a bit more environmentally safe like your pool noodle system. The only pool noodle I have is old and has seen many a day in a chlorinated swimming pool for a number of years now. Would the exposure to chlorine make it unsafe for hydroponics, or would it be best to just buy a new one? By the way, just want to say that I'm so glad I stumbled across your channel. You and Khang Starr are giving me all the information I need to start this new gardening adventure!
So good to Miriam! Since pool noodles are cheap, I would probably just get a new one. MY growboxes come with a few to get started. Khang is an awesome dude, I learned from him when I started too.
Ive just started the Microgreens and when I saw your grows and we are going to get the downspout thing going all thanks to you. Thank you so much! What do you recommend to grow to DETOX from all the inorganic stuff in our water and food? Ive a rare skin condition because of GMOs and chemicals used in our air water and food supply so this will help so much.
I use french green clay as a gentle detox. Along with drinking fresh juice or smoothies made with greens/veggies. I prefer broccoli sprouts, a mix of micro greens and stinging nettle.
Hey, i am having trouble going from the microgreens to the hydrophonic tower. I have some greens on mats but dont know how to get them loose and in the tower. Or when i should do that? Is there a video of thet? Thx
I tried growing micro greens once still have seeds. Would love to get some growing. I probably need to visit the Hydroponics store. Did not have the grow mat either. I should have looked it up on TH-cam first.
@@alicepettit164 The grow pad gives a little extra medium for the roots to hold onto so that I can grow them a little bigger before transplanting them into my downspouts.
I have recently heard of cannabis growers growing micro greens to chop and blend with water and fertilize their plants because seeds sprout with enough stuff to keep them alive for 3 weeks without fertilizer. Does that sound like something that would work to anyone? Not necessarily for cannabis, but any garden fruit.
you can throw anything in chilli and not even taste it. one time i even threw brussel sprouts in there and the kids didnt even notice. im gonna try that with sprouts next time lol
We just started our first microgreens based on your school children videos. Using shallow black bottom restaurant containers our greens sprouted in 2 days, but has fuzzy stuff. Too wet ? We didn't peak in 48hours. Need a fan for air flow? The top we put on didn't fully seal it so I thought it would be ok.
I tried it and loved it and ate ALL of them! In salads, on sandwiches, by themselves. It would almost be a cryin' shame to pick one out and grow it up to adulthood. 😂😂
Very nice video, I am trying to start business to sell Micro Greens, I have seen people really want it and on daily basis, I am going to deli ever everyday or every other day is there any training class I can join to get all knowledge at one place and also get what challenges would I face and how to overcome those challenges.
I found you recently and I LOVE your channel. Thank you so much for your generosity of wisdom. I truly appreciate your input and amazing knowledge base. You explain things so easily, you are a master of all things green. I love how easy you have made the process and CHEAP. You have inspired me tremendously. Thank you so much. BTW...are you half korean or japenese? "If you can't explain it to a six year old, you don't understand it yourself." AB
I have a random question, what do you do with left over hydro nutrients when a grow cycle is complete in the down spouts etc... I have been trying to research if I can use it to water/fertilize the inground or raised bed gardens, but I keep finding mixed info, either perfect or contributes to runoff issues.
Hi Victoria, I'm Mike's wife. He pours the leftover nutrients into my square foot gardens or avocado and citrus trees. I use worms to fertilize and aerate my soil, and the leftover nutrients doesn't seem to bother them.
@@KeepOnGrowin You are welcome Mike. I enjoy your work here on YT, and your "mission" is gonna change a lot of people's lives and health for the better I think. IMO, you have found a great system and you are on the right track.
@@KeepOnGrowin Just wanted to say that on Feb 27 in a cloner that sprays the water up on the roots I planted a kale seed by just cutting a small strip of fabric and placed it into the slotted plug with like a pleat fold and placed the seed just inside the pleat and put it back into the whole so it would spray onto the fabric and keep it moist. Well yesterday I had a sign of life and today the little baby first leaves :) No pre-sprouting or anything but I did start some other seeds to go into a unit I will make in a day or so. Thanks again for inspiring me to go back at trying to grow my own greens...
Thanks for this video, Mike. I now understand I've been doing this all wrong, which is why I don't have any seedlings yet to put in the downspouts I got from you. Early on my goal was to sprout bok choy, mustard greens and Swiss chard that I could transplant to your downspout planters and/or the garden. That failed, so I tried rock wool next and the seeds molded instead of sprouting. Just the other day I planted a single packet of sweet mesclun mix because I'd love to have those as microgreens for my salads. Now, I'm thinking I'd better go back and add the spicy mesclun. Live and learn...lol
I got a lot of mold on my trays. Is there anything I might have done wrong? I put the potting soil directly over the paper towel and then sowed the seeds and then put another thin layer of soil. I didn’t turn on a fan though until a few days had passed.
@@KeepOnGrowin I started with a four foot one. I drilled 10 holes close together and 10 holes offset on the rest of the pipe. I wish I could attach a photo of it. Please help. I hope you see my question and are able to answer. I am having a lot of trouble with my cilantro for hydro. I live in a tropical area. I grow in-and-outdoors; sun in the morning then in to shade. It is hot here, around 90 degrees. Please help me.

i normally grow regular size food but this year im going to start or give it a try i like my veggies with my meat and one thing a cant have is spicy because im allergic to peppers ..... but the idea of have spice without hurt sounds good and broccoli..
I just started growing micro greens and sprouts. I love them on sandwiches and salads. I just changed my diet to vegan and I feel so much better.
Sam's club has those to-go containers. A huge pack (maybe 60 or 80) for @ $12. I save mine when we go out to eat. 👍 Thanks for sharing!!!
Thank you too! Great tip!
The really interesting part is after cutting them an inch from the soil and leave them in the light they will continue to grow I don’t know it’s the ones that I cut that are continuing to grow or if it’s seeds that failed to grow the first time because it
was crowded and they weren’t getting enough light?
Right on! Your place looks amazing! Great job on the weight loss. 😎👍
incredible thx for sharing.
I’m a newbie. Your videos are phenomenal. I’m still a little fuzzy on how to transplant the extra seedlings. Thank you again.
Welcome. I think it is the fifth video in this playlist: th-cam.com/play/PLk4IGbDM3vfq2M2nx8_SkExMP0rRgBHLg.html
I use my leftover seeds for microgreens & baby greens over Winter
Thank you for all you do! You’re a true inspiration.
I really appreciate that Kristine, thank you!
Awesome! Grab the course now, I have it for $1 until the end of the year.
I stopped growing trays for this very reason Mike, I would have way more than we could eat even with a family of 3, went back to full sized plants for most things but I do love my mustard and radishes too.
You're right Brandon. I grow some now and then but love getting more for my money when I grow them out. Have an awesome day!
I have never tried that. I will have to do it on my next grow.
Awesome! You should put out some videos on all what you do. People would enjoy seeing that.
Nice video! I give my greens a little sip of my PBR when im watering! subscribed!
That's so awesome!!! I love it! Keep up the great work and keep eating those nutritious foods! You rock!
I love eating sprouts! :)
Thanks!
Awesome! Keep up the great work and have fun with it!
I've grown it and eaten it. Fenugreek in mutton mince with peas, with lime pickle and toast bread. My mouth waters just writing this. It's an indian dish.
Awesome! I love the smell of Fenugreek when I grow it!
I really want to try this now, I gues ill add it to my long list of gardendiys
I’m still growing oat wheat grass for tootsie it will only last a few weeks and then it get moldy I need to get a fan to blow on it to help it last longer thanks for sharing 😊👍🏼
Yeah, air circulation is key.
I would like to see how to protect against cold/hot weather if grown outside.
We never started them as we are not fans of micro's. You sure kick major butt though. Always have the best info for folks looking at growing some. Stay safe and have a Happy 4th Weekend!
Happy 4th CB! Stay safe and have an awesome weekend!
Bro u just rock thank u I have been inspired and lol I will try micro greens for the first time God bless
I have learned so much from you. Thank you
I am teaching a micro greens class in Chinle, AZ on the 15th.
I live in Phx. How do you keep anything alive? My garage is too hot. Outside is impossible.

Yes, I do eat microgreens. I started with microgreens before finding Kratky hydroponics. But I am only one person and can only eat so much. That's why I'm also growing hydroponically.
Sounds good Vickey! If I grow too many at once, I get tired too.
I Just started a test tray with pebbles and this is the first video I saw afterwards "stop growing microgreens". Lol
😂
@@KeepOnGrowin LOL! They're the next thing on my wish list!
Love your show. Thank you.
Your body detoxifies itself everyday.
I use french green clay as a gentle detox. Along with drinking fresh juice or smoothies made with greens/veggies. I prefer broccoli sprouts, a mix of micro greens and stinging nettle.
I eat them in salads sandwiches stir fries if they’re larger experimenting
We do peas, and sunflower greens, weekly.
Nice!!!! I love those!
Could you talk about the nutrient value of growing in good quality dirt vs hydroponic mixture. Thank you
Yes, I am working on a video. A lot of people ask that.
God bless you … “I just want to teach the world how to feed itself.” Same … I want organic food to become accessible to everyone.
You are awesome! The world needs more people like you!
hey.. friend it's been awhile have to watch ur updated vids 🙂
Hey, i am having trouble going from the microgreens to the hydrophonic tower. I have some greens on mats but dont know how to get them loose and in the tower. Or when i should do that? Is there a video of thet? Thx
Great stuff man, thanks for sharing this 👍 Happy Growin ✌
Thanks Kevin! Keep on Growin'!
I tried growing micro greens once still have seeds. Would love to get some growing. I probably need to visit the Hydroponics store. Did not have the grow mat either. I should have looked it up on TH-cam first.
I made these grow mats out of egg cartons so I do not have to buy them anymore.
@@KeepOnGrowin hope you include in a video.. Why better than more layers of paper towels?
Found your video on making egg carton pads. Still why not paper towels?
@@alicepettit164 The grow pad gives a little extra medium for the roots to hold onto so that I can grow them a little bigger before transplanting them into my downspouts.
I have recently heard of cannabis growers growing micro greens to chop and blend with water and fertilize their plants because seeds sprout with enough stuff to keep them alive for 3 weeks without fertilizer. Does that sound like something that would work to anyone? Not necessarily for cannabis, but any garden fruit.
Sounds interesting. I may try it, I got lots of microgreens.
@@KeepOnGrowin if you do try it, I’m sure we’d all love a video. I’m going to give it a shot.
Where can I get covered downspouts? The local hydroponics store closes so early.
Small hardware store. Like an ace or smaller.
I get mine at Lowes. The large 3" x 4" works better than the small one.
Would coconut coir work instead of the potting mix? Thks
Yes
I love the video's I am just starting out what hydro nutrients does Mike use?
th-cam.com/video/SaN6Dlf2hCg/w-d-xo.html Here you go Rose!
as usual bro u knock it out the the park, thanks
Hi, do you let plants go to seed?
Sometimes, mostly lettuce and pok choi.
Great suggestions
Thanks Rocky!
you can throw anything in chilli and not even taste it. one time i even threw brussel sprouts in there and the kids didnt even notice. im gonna try that with sprouts next time lol
That most likely are root hairs. Let it go and get some air circulation on them in a few days.
I tried it and loved it and ate ALL of them! In salads, on sandwiches, by themselves. It would almost be a cryin' shame to pick one out and grow it up to adulthood. 😂😂
Lol, awesome!!!! 😎👍🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱
Thank you. I am so glad you find it helpful! I am half Japanese. Keep on Growin'!
Thanks for the video
Thank you so much for these videos. Just beginning but I have learned a lot. Do you use regular seeds or microgreen seeds? Or are they the same?
I use microgreen seeds from True Market, link in the description. You get a lot more seed for your money.
@@KeepOnGrowin I was told that microgreen seeds are designed not to mature into mature plants. Is that not true? Thank you so much!
What's the cardboard stuff that goes under the soil?
Thank you. Great videos
Grow pads. You can buy them or make them like I do.
@@KeepOnGrowin ah great. I'll look em up. Thanks a lot for your reply!!

@@KeepOnGrowin You are welcome Mike. I enjoy your work here on YT, and your "mission" is gonna change a lot of people's lives and health for the better I think. IMO, you have found a great system and you are on the right track.
Have you tried letting some plants flower and go to seed?
Yes. I do it with my lettuce, pak choi, basil and sisho all the time.
New here and enjoying your informative videos :)
I`m am also gonna start some experiments for indoor growing. Broke out the seed box last night. Thinking kale and romaine to play with...
Awesome! Welcome!
That's what I love to hear!
How are you watering your gutter plants?
Just tilt a plant and add nutrients.
I failed many times when I started. You will get the hang of it!😃👍🌱
Do they multiply when you take one or two out and repot in the Noodle?
No, they do not.
@@KeepOnGrowin then how are you going to turn those into more?
I got a lot of mold on my trays. Is there anything I might have done wrong? I put the potting soil directly over the paper towel and then sowed the seeds and then put another thin layer of soil.
I didn’t turn on a fan though until a few days had passed.
You may want to try to cover it with a thin layer of fine vermiculite.
Have you tried the 5" X 5" PVC square pipe? It worked great for me.
No I have not. I am sure it works great but here it cost about $40 plus another $8 for endcaps as opposed to a $14 downspout.
@@KeepOnGrowin I started with a four foot one. I drilled 10 holes close together and 10 holes offset on the rest of the pipe. I wish I could attach a photo of it. We harvested 12 Lettuce plants and 9 Spinach in about 11 weeks. We moved from Ft. Myers, Fl. to Wooster, Ohio. Kinda hard getting one started up here. Nothing seems to want to germinate.
