    As a scientist and former professor, I am thoroughly impressed by this lesson series (and your videos in general). You are an excellent teacher. Some people just have a knack for knowing what’s important to convey.

    This is an awesome series. This should be part of every kids education, so they understand that food is something that people can grow, not just something you buy at the market.

      Thanks Michael. We are working on it a little at a time. I think trying to simplify everything and make it fun gets them interested and they can always advance later. It is empowering to know you can somewhat take care of yourself as far as food goes.

    I wish I had known about this 70 years ago when my parents had the most amazing organic garden. And later, I also had an amazing garden when I lived in a valley next to a river where you could dig all day and never find a rock. I would like to do this kind of gardening, or have a greenhouse, but I am very limited due to age. I might try micro greens. Thank you.

    I hosted afternoon tea and grew some radish microgreens to put on my cucumber sandwiches! Planted them just like this took a week and I had a very fancy flavorful garnish for my tea sandwiches! I will be using this for my baby shower afternoon tea for sure!!! Thanks for the idea!

    First, I'm thrilled to find your videos, which are teaching kids (and adults) the value of growing their own food!
    Secondly, I'm growing peppers, strawberries, lettuces, spinaches, collard greens & tomatoes using the Kratkey Hydroponics method.
    I plan to expand into microgreens as soon as the seeds are delivered.
    Perhaps you can create a video using that method, if you haven't yet. (I just stumped upon your channel.)
    Great work! Awesome content & delivery!
    I plan to share this channel with my 11 y/o grandson. He will live it!
    Thanks again for your time you've invested & work!

    So I've been watching your tower videos. And I know that the point of this is to be simple and not intimidating. But I'm wondering if you could use square buckets with a fish tank filter on the back to help prevent algae... No filter in the unit, just the shell that propels the water... I might try that. Just an idea for the morning ambitious

    Hello and thank you! I am about to begin the hydroponics journey with your assistance. I do have a couple of questions first what is an air stone, it's purpose and where to purchase and second is your average air pump (electric, used for inflation) a suitable pump for hydroponics. Thanks much from my family and I.

    • @KeepOnGrowin
      @KeepOnGrowin  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Sheryl. The air pump and air stone are just from any store that sells pet supplies, It is the one for an aquarium. It introduces extra oxygen for the roots. I only use it on a few of my containers. Most so not have it. Here is a cheap one I use from Amazon: amzn.to/3oWugy3

    I just discovered your channel, it’s June 18, 2023. The answer might be buried in your videos somewhere, but having a short attention span, I hope to get an answer without sifting through everything. When you trim the micro greens is that a one-time thing or do they continue to grow?

    Thankyou for the video sir, I always wanted to know more about hydroponics. Only have question, in transplanting is the whole root system submerged in the nutrient solution or just a part of it?

    • @KeepOnGrowin
      @KeepOnGrowin  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      All of the root at first, not the stem. As the level drops, leave an air gap for the roots to absorb oxygen.

Also can I use pool noodles to hold the tomato and pepper plants in place ? How big should I let the plants get to transplant them ? Sorry I have so many questions !!!
