In This video, i am taking you around my Studio Apartment. They are commonly known as bedsitters here in Kenya. i give you tips on how to arrange and live comfortably in a small space.
i have some diy projects i have made as my "Studio apartment decor" so to say, that i have done like a ropeshelf that i explain in-depth on how to make. They make the studio more homey

I slept on the floor for three months and the day I bought the bed it was so hard to go to work I almost called in sick. Nilishinda nikifunga na kufungua mlango almost five times just to confirm if its still there. The far we've come only God knows haha

Congratulations on your first digz. A DIY suggestion: You can seal off the glass parts of your door with good quality wrapping paper (not the plastic type - look for actual paterned paper). It obstructs view from outside and you dont need fabric on your door. You can even change it based on your colour themes over time. It worked for me. All the best.

@@IvyMelania You can get it at Carrefour, Chandarana and most supermarkets. Ask for the wrapping paper that is actually made of paper not plastic. Get masking tape too.

Very humbling but uplifting too. We easily forget how life was with the shower and toilet being in the same space. The Karai for showering with when you don't have hot running water and you have to boil it first etc. Yes am pretty sure most people living abroad can attest to what am saying! All in all so proud of your beautiful space and how you made it work! I also remember my first apartment a few years ago and how proud i was. Enjoy this time before the kids and hubby comes and those yellow cups will need to be locked away lol. God bless you and increase you :)

No need for turpentine, just buy more yellow paint and sprinkle all over the floor for a deliberately spotty floor effect.

As for the mirror, just buy spray paint of any color and spray it ..easy pizzy...spray paint is about 250bob,found in any hardware or supermarket..dries very fast

I like this. I'm inspired. I live in a beautiful studio apartment, & I've always felt down about it because most of my pals live in bigger living spaces & I never have people in my space any more. Thank you, I'm really inspired & will spruce up my space... Wish I can make a vlog about my intended transformation or whatnot but I can't really take a selfie even if my life depended on it...
You are very welcome! As long as you are comfortable in your own space, it doesnt matter if others live in a bigger space. You are headed there too but first be proud of where you are ❤️❤️. You can vlog, just try it! You might surprise yourself 😊

You can actually spray paint the mirror to any color . Spray cans cost around 300 each , and u might use only one ❤

For your bathroom, you can get many stick-on hooks (check the weight they can carry when you buy so that they don't fall from heavy items) and then get baskets/storage containers (the kind we keep pegs in, or toothbrushes) and place them onto the hooks and place all your toiletries inside on different places of your bathroom wall.

There is floor polish/wax you can use to mask the paint dots... cant remember any brand but utaiget kwa hardware most kenya...

For your floor, there are some really good vinyl carpets that you can buy, they are different thickness. You can wipe it down etc. Really good solution to hide those kind of paint stains.

Naturally awesome. I love the compact arrangements, and use of the available space. Your kitchen is spacious after all. For the paint drops, I suggest repainting over, with a little coat of red oxide. Turpentine may scrub out the paint but add more discoloration (like Jik bleach does). The neatness overshadows that, nevertheless.

Great house you have there! My suggestion: Turn the bed so that the long side is next the window side ya bathroom. Then move the sofa to the wall where you have the pink mirror, that way your living room area is also next to a window. That's just my idea, what you have done is also super! Great job.
Thank you so much!!! Initially that was my layout, but i did not like it. Right now, i have so much space with the new arrangement. With the other one, the only space i had was infront of the kitchen and bathroom, that to me was very limiting
Quick suggestion you can get a portable wardrobe helps display all your clothes nicely.Also for the patotoes(warus)you could get the plastic holder from a Marimari guy helps with the vegetables storage.Nice house👍👍Amen to the fridge

I think for your kitchen,you can make the diy shelves (similar to the one at your bedroom space) to place your jars.
I could, but the shelf is heavy, it needs nails to the wall. I dont think i am allowed to drill holes in the wall
You can fill the hole marks with toothpaste. If not maybe a small simple pantry cabinet (you can get designs on Pinteret) can do you will have more storage for ata your egg tray and all.

Very clean and organized👌.however, for your spice jars and egg trays, you could negotiate with your landlord for you to mount floating shelves which really come in hand for small spaces, good thing is that they can be taken down when you are moving out.
I thought about this, but i immediately thought against it because some landlords are so uptight. But if i get more things for my kitchen i think i would have to consider it. Thank you🙏🙏🙏
