Congratulations on your first digz. A DIY suggestion: You can seal off the glass parts of your door with good quality wrapping paper (not the plastic type - look for actual paterned paper). It obstructs view from outside and you dont need fabric on your door. You can even change it based on your colour themes over time. It worked for me. All the best.

For the paint drops, I suggest repainting over, with a little coat of red oxide. Turpentine may scrub out the paint but add more discoloration (like Jik bleach does). The neatness overshadows that, nevertheless.
