The build up to the scene shouldn't be overlooked. Chrissy, Freddy, Victor Creel's wife, and the massacred kids at Hawking's lab established the high stakes. None died in vain.

Dear Billy should be nominated for an Emmy in the best episode category. Sadie Sink was absolutely perfect. So too was the directing by Shawn Levy, the writing by Matt and Ross Duffer, and all the hard work by the ST crew who also deserve recognition.
Usually that's not exactly how that works as far as the Emmys go. This bts really highlights the magic of special effects. This is how it’s done, man, using special effects as a bedrock, enhancing and completing it with visual effects. It was Sadie’s look of terror and desperation throughout this whole sequence that sold the realism and it’s your job as a full team to help her convey it by giving her all you can to work with and helping your team execute your vision instead of just dumping the actor on a bluescreen and telling your CG artists to just make shit happen. I am really proud to of her, this was the most powerful and excellent scene in this whole series in all the season. the most relatable scene they have ever created, the combination of the song with the situation was never can be more perfect. Love for Sadie sink and jamie❤
This scene is my favourite to ever come out of this show. I was in awe and couldn’t believe the entire thing. I felt terror, happiness, nostalgia and euphoria all in one scene. Everyone who took part deserves all the awards, there will never be another scene like this in TV history.
She is the most potential for action drama scenes because she is talent. I love her a lot on this part of movie. so exciting and can't breathe to cheer her up to go through all dangerous situations.
WOW! at 1:06, you can see that only Sadie and the 2 foreground pillars are practical elements they used in the shot; everything else was rotoscoped out for the wide shot to show the expansiveness of the upside down. I'm assuming the stuff in the far background are just 3D models. Though, it's possible they could've used a roto'd clean plate of the Mind Lair set and comp that far in the back so lack of parallax won't be a big issue. and of course, color it and add fog + debris layers to cover it up. It helps that it was lit well I can't wait for more breakdowns from Vol 2!!!
Such an amazing scene and incredible acting. I love how this all goes down in production. Cannot wait to be a part of beautiful things like this someday.
They are all incredible from the producers to writers directors every single actor. This is amazing work even beyond some good movies, even better, and her, she is just so talented and how beautiful she is...
I don't comment often, but holy hell, Stranger Things and its production, the acting, the energy, and THE STORY is by far one of the best I have seen. The mix with the 80's approach completely topped it for me. The PERFECT formula and an EXCELLENT display of passionate production. They deserve Emmys.
From what BTS I've seen I noticed that none of the stunts are done by the actors themselves. No falls, no dragging, no getting thrown, they are used in only those shots where facial expressions are necessary. Millie falling on the rinko mania floor, Saddie getting dragged and she slipping, Natalia getting thrown to the wall, all the scene are done by stunt doubles. And I respect ST for doing that, we focus more on the end product than the actor's struggle to get through that scene. As its a sci-fi series, not an action series.
At the end of the day, the Party are young people who aren't professional stuntpersons. They have done some minor stunt stuff involving wire work (one scene involving Millie being flipped over and over resulted in her having to do answer the porcelain telephone once it was done), but why risk hurting them? The fact it's very hard to see the join is a testament to the editors.
I cried at how good the effects were and paired with the acting...just phenomenal. I was the most terrified of Vecna because although he's a total monster, he's also very manipulative and human-like maybe it's because we know his human form of him but dang it terrified me watching lol. I love that referenced classic horror too and the fact that he basically calls Papa basic lol.
@@kasualvfx4985 yes he WAS only a human with superpowers and now he's a monster in another dimension. I don't consider them the same version, but the part that is more human-like than the rest of the monsters is that he prays on their "weak" emotions of traumatizing experiences. So to answer your criticism, of course, he's part human, until he wasn't. When you lose your empathy, your ability to see what damage you cause to others EVEN if you have superpowers and you're not able to at least have discipline then you become something very different. That's not the human experience at all and he didn't want to be refined to it hence him calling papa a mediocre man.
It isn't easy to give off such pure reactions to things that don't actually exist infront of you. Props to Sadie Sink she truly is such a gem of an actress❤️

I am really proud to of her, this was the most powerful and excellent scene in this whole series in all the season. the most relatable scene they have ever created, the combination of the song with the situation was never can be more perfect. Love for Sadie sink and jamie❤
That is phenomenal acting on Sadie’s part, not just anyone could pull that off!
This scene is my favourite to ever come out of this show. I was in awe and couldn’t believe the entire thing. I felt terror, happiness, nostalgia and euphoria all in one scene. Everyone who took part deserves all the awards, there will never be another scene like this in TV history.
Most iconic TV show in a while. Some of these S4 episodes are legitimate masterpieces.
Sadie and everyone who had a hand in this scene did such a great job. Absolutely amazing.
I have my fingers crossed for Sadie Sink to be nominated for the Emmys.
DRAWING STRANGER THINGS CHARACTERS.. | IT'S HERE ON THE CHANNEL !!!!
It helps that it was lit well
I can't wait for more breakdowns from Vol 2!!!
Shawn, Sadie, and the whole team did so amazing with this scene. They made it feel so real, I love it.
curious fact Guess Who Will be the director of Deadpool 3 😁
Sadie’s face expressions are on point...so intense
I've watched it five times so far and it never disappoints ,always makes my heart beat like crazy it's amazing sadie nailed it for sure 🔥
The acting was so good this season. The tears. The drama. The emotion. I’ll probably need to rewatch for sure.
Shawn levy is such a insane director!!
Thrilling episode, wonderful Sadie along with the whole cast. Great series, bravi!
Great job to the team, Sadie, Jamie, and Sadie’s stunt double.
Some of the cast wanted to do their own stunts
🌼
At the end of the day, the Party are young people who aren't professional stuntpersons. They have done some minor stunt stuff involving wire work (one scene involving Millie being flipped over and over resulted in her having to do answer the porcelain telephone once it was done), but why risk hurting them? The fact it's very hard to see the join is a testament to the editors.
OMG HER ACTING IS SO GOOD! BEING ABLE TO REACT TO THINGS THAT ARENT THERE IS INCREDIBLE! PROPS TO HER!
i wish these videos were so much longer, its so cool seeing what it looks like without all the effects and seeing how it was made, super interesting
He is a human imao
Honestly one of the best scenes of any series in recent times
This scene is by far my favorite in all of Stranger Things. Sadie Sink is amazing!
Everything was amazing about this sequence and Sadie deserves an Emmy.
It isn't easy to give off such pure reactions to things that don't actually exist infront of you. Props to Sadie Sink she truly is such a gem of an actress❤️
sadie sink is a queen and no one can tell me otherwise
Sadie did so good all the cast did but that one scene of max and vecna gave me the chills so much feeling
She’s always been great but her acting this season was off the charts
