    Every time I see this guy he slays me. Never get tired of watching him. The KING of lazzis, in my opinion.

    Pure Genius his routine was so funny you can't take your eyes off him

    It's insane to think that every action and every motion he makes is deliberate and probably rehearsed to within an inch, and yet it seems so improvised. The coordination and control displayed is nothing short of astounding!

      He worked for decades as circus clown. This gave him possibility to polish his routine day after day on life audience following their reaction.

    Props to the drummer, who had to catch all the bits! This type of comedy really relies on the drummer following the performer. If the drummer can't see, isn't watching or had limited rehearsal, certain bits don't come off (like the counting of the fingers). There's a reason why artists shell out on their personal accompanists. Just tightens up the performance. Thanks for posting!

      Thank you for this very interesting observation! As far as I remember George Carl was originally a circus clown. That is, he had to be get used to perform with live orchestra

      @@Naftalinoff correct. And working in the circus, he would've performed with the same drummer each show. Would have been hilarious! Very tight timing...

      @@synthdude When I was in the circus, I was friends with the drummer. He was really on the ball, following the rimshots for three rings, minute by minute, for two hours, twice a day; 3 times on Saturday. He was amazing and really loved the high of sitting on his little stool, being so in-the-flow. Takes a certain type of person, and he was one of them.

    Wonderful with the simplest of props. A fellow like this could make a living long before a thing we call “Vaudeville”. Makes me wonder how early in human evolution the first gag was performed. Earliest art form.

    Non conoscevo questo comico o claun..ed è strano visto che li seguo molto evidentemente deve aver fatto lo stesso effetto che ha fatto a me dopo 2..3 volte averlo visto..una noia mortale per tutta la sua carriera..se ne avuta una degna di questo nome... sempre e solo le stesse cose sempre le stesse ripetitive mai una novità quando entrava in scena già sapevi esattamente al secondo cosa avrebbe fatto e il bello che un esercizio ripetuto migliaia di volte riusciva pure a sbagliarlo se fosse stato un grande artista avrebbe fatto qualche film e sarebbe andato oltre confine invece dove è nato e li ha fatto tutto

    • @Naftalinoff
      @Naftalinoff  ปีที่แล้ว

      He was a circus clown. This is natural that he always repeated the same things permanently improving them getting regular feedback from live audience. This was the usual approach of clowns in traveling circuses. They skits were staged to watch them life in circuses and theaters, the art of circus clowning often gets lost on video
