This is wonderful. This is the best video i have watched on DIY water pump.
It is basically centrifugal pump, details not given e.g. RPM, sealing to avoid water entering the body. with little modifications it can become more effective.Good job.

I almost saw all the diy in connection with the water pump and submersible using dc motor, but it won't long last because the water will gain access to the machine, hence it would cause overheat the wire due to the grounded caused by water entered inside the motor and it would rusk when not going to use for a long period time, the water will stuck inside that can cause rusk and malfunctioning the motor. I wish could any one know how to ptevent water entering the motor?

I think the small hole is for pressure increase and efficiency.
Like pen stock pipes line big to small big back pressure build up is created.
Centrifugals are not used for high pressure. We need good flow at low pressure

Do you happen to know what height the pump will push water up a standing pump? (Head rise). I'm looking at DIY pumps to try to figure out what I need to be able to push water up a 3 to 4 foot tall pipe into a grow bed.

Seu vídeo tá ótimo, mas está muito fechado, gostaria de saber o passo a passo em que vc pega um pedaço de cano e coloca um tapi e faz um pequeno furo conecta em um pedaço de mangueira e depois na montagem final quando vai conectar a na bomba já aparece um pedaço de cano Branco e mais fino.
Vendo isso não se sabe qua a parte do tapi com o furo, se vai para a entrada ou saída da água.
