If the ingredients are precise, one doesn't need to try many times. Another problem is that people from other cultures don't know what the original taste is supposed to be like. Anyway, kudos to him for cooking.

InEvery Middle class household in India , Every teenager knows how to cook !!! I can see that in Pakistan it's the same , i guess ? We are taught to cook without any measurements , only eye ball Cooking !!! No tea spoon , table Spoon , heaped spoon , bullshit !! Just calmly Cook and believe in yourself and your eyes !!!

I cooked as a teenager but biryani is impressive I’m finally making that now in my 30s. I don’t know if your cousin followed a specific recipe but there are many Pakistani and Indian videos I’ve seen 😂where the person says a teaspoon of this, and it’s a big heaping teaspoon, more than if you were measuring it out with a measuring spoon which would make it less spicy than intended. I make sure to observe them putting the spices in rather than going by their measurements
