One tries to analyze and explain why we come to tears when we listen to this young singer. It's not easy to explain. But I think it's got something to do with being reminded again and again of what is being lost or misplaced nowadays in the value changes of all things, including the arts. It's got to do with the survival of artistic beauty, with youthful innocence, with true artistic value, with real talent. It is more than the vocal beauty this young lady delights us with. It's her emotional honesty; her clean emerging femininity, the deep singing language of her beautiful eyes, her obvious love for the art she practices. It seems obvious she is always learning, always improving on what she does. I think and hope Lucy Thomas will come and go far on the artistic road she chose. Young lady, we thank you.

Many young singers could learn a lot by watching what she is doing.

It is so nice when a young singer like Lucy doesn’t “over-sing” the song. I prefer her singing without so much production as in the previous videos she has posted. Obviously, this is the release version as she continues her recording career. She is tremendously talented with a combination of beauty, a great sense of vocal style, and actually sings with her (beautiful blue) eyes open! Many young singers could learn a lot by watching what she is doing.

Not an expert, but your voice can soar to the sky, as it were,and glide to the tops of the waves, like a graceful seabird. There is nothing forced, yet your voice can be so powerful and gentle almost at the same time. Can't think of any other singer with quite this ability.
