How I vacuum seal pack Oatmeal, Walnuts and Raisins.

This video shows how I vacuum pack oatmeal, walnuts and raisins.
I use a 3 gallon vacuum chamber with a vacuum pump.
Being able to repurpose store bought jars of different sizes and types is
very useful. I rotate the jars every 3 to 6 months. If the jar came vacuum sealed from the store it can be resealed and used for other things.

I like the idea of using old jars but how do you nutralize the pickle flavor or oder?

Soaking the lid helps to clear the oder. Some items it does not matter, such as sugar, salt or baking soda. Thanks for watching....
