Traditional herbal medicine to get promoted from state government: Libang
PASIGHAT, Sept 25: In a move to promote and encourage traditional herbal treatment in Arunachal Pradesh, state’s Health Minister, Alo Libang visited herbal medicine treatment centre of Smti Yanung Jamoh Lego at GTC, Pasighat today morning in order to see the patients getting firsthand treatment and also to check out the preparation of herbal medicine. .
While visiting the herbal centre attached around the residence of traditional herbal specialist, Smti Yanung Jamoh Lego, health minister Libang showed immense satisfaction over the dedication and selfless effort of Smti Lego who despite being a officer in the rank of Dy. Director under Agriculture Department, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, is giving free treatment to the several patients coming from all across the state, nation and even from foreign countries.
“I am deeply touched by the nobleness and kindness of Lego who is sparing so much of her time in treating people whose diseases are mostly surrendered by country’s best of the best medicals. We are looking into making this traditional herbal treatment centre more outreached so that all the ailments from various patients from the state and country are treated and cured”, added Libang.
On being asked if state government of Arunachal Pradesh is going to do any initiative to help Smti Lego and her herbal centre facilitated of government aids and supports so that she could help and treat more people, Libang told this scribe that the state government will surely take a decision on it so that Arunachal’s traditional herbal medicines are known all across the nation. “I will brief and discuss about this with Chief Minister Pema Khandu so that our Himalayan herbal medicines are promoted all across which is already helping cured many incurable diseases in free of cost”, quoted Libang.
Meanwhile talking to this scribe, Smti Yanung Jamoh Lego shared her initial struggle from last 23 years which is gradually getting popular these days due to her doing humanitarian services free of cost all these years. “I am getting pleasure in helping and treating struggling patients for life and death. Most of the patients are those who are incurred and surrendered by doctors and medicals where they are said to have spent lakhs of money. But as this traditional herbal treatment from my side is of my interest and knowledge which has been gifted from nature and my ancestors, I don’t want to make profits out of struggling patients as I don’t need to buy costly cars, house and lands. I get immense pleasure in helping people by my herbal treatment and would love to do more help to rest of India”, added Smti Lego.
It is worth mentioning here that, today Smti Lego is treating almost all kind of diseases including cancer and AIDs. Patients from across the country and region including some foreigners’ visit her almost every day due to which she has now engaged several helpers at her herbal centre attached around her resident. Many others are engaged across the state that helps collecting Himalayan herbal medicines which are found abundant in various locations of the state’s evergreen forest. She said that, she got the ability and quality of such treatment without any studies and training on herbal medicines from Mother Nature and her parents. Her father was a priest who often guided her and gave the mantra that almost every herbs and rich green forest has the value to treat all diseases, just she need to identify the herbs by her divine eyes which can’t be seen by a sinner or a unholy person.
While narrating about their happiness of getting cured from the traditional herbal treatment of Mrs Lego, two persons, one from Nagaland’s Dimapur town and one from Tuting under Yingkyong District said that, they were really speechless about the treatment which cured their diseases which couldn’t be cured at Bangaluru medical despite spending lakhs of money. They told Health Minister about their sufferings and how their ailments were cured by the herbal treatment of Mrs Lego. It is also learnt that, state’s Chief Minister Pema Khandu’s wife also came for such treatment from Mrs Lego recently and many others are getting treatment on daily basis.
Going by the humanitarian services of Mrs. Lego who have already helped cured incurable diseases of countless people so far, government of Arunachal Pradesh and Government of India need to promote and recognize her traditional herbal medicine treatment and also facilitate necessary assistance so that she could help many more patients hanging between life and death in coming years also.
As of now she is managing the preparation of medicines by her own expenses with the help of some patients who comes back on getting cured and offers token gift though she denies receiving such gifts.
