Cement concrete needs some days to gain its full strength say at least 7 days of curing time .... And for your information we can remove the shutter after 24 hours or before since it's drainage so here the shutter doesn't play any role in its strength... Actually cement concrete gains its full strength after 27.
The contractors did a yeoman job. But the road allignment to the hilltop seems not so necasasry, too steep to climb and could be very difficult for msintainace in the future. Road allignment and cutting could have been done around the hill, a little above the foothill, that way the picturisque Dimapur view is also not missed and the upward climb would not be too steep. As and when the roads gets completed, it will be a hazardous drive with increase in number of road accidents . But it will be a respite for the pakala pahar rock falls, though the climb too is seemingly risky.
Dear GW I commute regularly though this road after the NH closed. I can totally relate to the plight of the commuters who take this long winding dusty road but we should also accept the fact that there are lots of INEXPERIENCED DRIVERS and also OVERLOADED 800 CC commercial Taxis which is causing traffic inconveniences along this stretch of road.
