Can you say more about the differences between this beta and the Gasgas/Husqvarna TPI Models from 2021? Which is easier to ride? Coming from a 2019 Xtrainer
Hi there, if your a shorter rider the beta has a lower seat height which helps in the gnarly stuff. If your a newer rider the tpi bikes have a little less snap on the bottom which makes it a little easier to ride. Also far less vibration on the tpi bikes and slightly more adjustable suspension as well unless you buy the beta race edition.
Beautiful trail, Where are you? We ride in Southern Utah but your trail looks like a blast! I am seriously considering the 300 RR so I'm looking for anything I can find on the '21 300 RR. I'm glad I found your channel. -The direct oil injection seems to be a plus over the Race Edition. -How is the clutch pull? I have heard it's not as soft as the KTM's. Currently I have a magura on my Honda 450. It sure makes a difference. -
Hi there, thanks for joining my channel! My video's are taken just outside of Calgary, Canada.Would like to head down to Utah sometime to go riding, looks like a great place to ride. Answering the question about clutch pull, it feels very comparable to my 2020 KTM 250 XC tpi and Husky Te250i that I rode for the majority of this summer.
@@whiskeythrottledave I’m around 210 6ft 1inch and that’s in my underwear so I went with 46 kg in front and a 5.6 kg in back. I also Put a GPR steering stabilizer which raises the bars about half an inch and enduro high bars from moose. And I have a high seat that Enduro Engineering said they should have for me in January. So that’s what I’m going to be doing all week long during Christmas. My plan is to race the national Enduro series to where I plan to claim victory and if I do lose I will definitely be accusing others of cheating 😜. Example : You beat me by 5 minutes in that last section so you must be cheating . Because I cut 5 miles off that section are you would have Beaten me by 30 minutes if I would have rode that 8 mile section of the course. 😱
@@Johnr37us Yes at 210 springs would be a necessity. I'm at the upset of the spectrum, 5'8 and am getting Seat concepts to build me a slightly lower and softer seat. Looking forward to racing in 2021 hopefully!
@@Johnr37us That is excellent to know. I am really thinking of buying this bike, but I'd want to let the local suspension shop know that they need to order springs ahead of time so I don't have to wait AS long. Thank for the input.
Hey guys I am also 210lbs 6ft+ and found that even with proper springs the forks ride to low in the stroke and feel harsh! Purchased a set of Mx tech luckys and cured all my problems. Love the betas
I know the loop well. The bridge of death! :P Not sure what carb the 2021 is running, but the JD Jet kit, green needle, and a leaner pilot work really well for my 2018 300rr. Plug has a nice brown to light burn on it.
Hi there, it has the Keihin PXK 36mm, probably the same as your 2018. Did you notice a difference in fuel consumption after you installed the jd jet kit? My stock jetting worked pretty good, but I really went through the fuel. I adjusted the float as well. It was 3mm riding high out of spec. Anxious to take the bike out again to do some more testing.
@@whiskeythrottledave i can't say. It was installed when I got the bike (25hrs). But with the kit the 38 pilot is a bit too rich. I run 2nd clip from top in winter, 3rd for rest of the year.. For me 100km out of a tank in the summer would be a strech. I never tested that though. 70km out of a tank is not an issue.
@@whiskeythrottledave why not try the NECJ Suzuki needle? They worked really well in my xc300 carbs which were identical to what we're running. Pretty sure I got one or two of them.
@@otmuppet I just installed jd kit. Should be good with that and setting float to spec. Just have not tested yet. I also looped overflow hose so gas doesn't piss out.
You don't receive any jets at purchase but there are lots of places to get jetting for the keihin carb . I just put a jd kit in hoping to get better fuel efficiency.
Love the beta keep up the good work
Thanks!
Looks like a better time to deer hunt
That seems like an amazing bike it’s very smooth and sounds awesome!👍🤠
Absolutely beautiful trail! The trees are spaced perfectly for singletrack and the elevation changes really keep it interesting. Enjoy it.
Thanks!

@@whiskeythrottledave so it‘s time to ;) just kidding..
Thank you mate 👌
I'm starting to eye my next bike... This Beta 300RR would be an excellent machine for here in New England, thx for the review and ride along
Thanks for watching! Don't think you can go wrong with the Beta!

I have the same bike and I’m in the process of putting heavier springs in the bike right now.
Hi there, I'm running around 185 lbs with equipment on. Definitely feels a little soft when I hit the whoops.

Does Beta offer different jet Needles? I would go to the next leaner JN and drop main one or two. Much cheaper than a kit.
