I like that you explained the "why" certain moves. I seem to wobble all over the place (hypermobile) so when you give those reminders, it really helps. Thanks for these great videos, Jessica.
Jessica , thank you for these wonderful videos! I’ve been using them to increase my strength since coming out out of hospital. 5 weeks in a coma results in a lot of muscle wastage and it was through I would need a wheelchair, but I’m up and about walking now and doing your videos as often as I can helps tremendously. ❤
Thank you! I am trying to get back in shape after years of a stressful homelife. I stopped exercising due to depression and my weigt up 20 lbs and chol went up 100 pts due to self medicating with booze, chocolate and chips. Not easy at 66 years old. Got help and on a new path. I lost so much physical stamina and muscle mass its scary. I used to lean and strong so an awful wakeup call getting back in shape. It took a long time for me to see the abuse. So that said every muscle aches and I refuse to fall back. I will protect myself and your video helps keep me on track. God bless you ❤
Thank you so much for your gentle & caring & professional way you take us through these exercises. I find all of your gentle exercises very very helpful for my fibromyalgia ❤
I was starting and stopping the beginning of this video because i was scared that i couldn't keep up but this is amazing and gentle and i appreciate it so much! Thank you!
truly the best video I’ve seen. I’m 22 and have been so frustrated because the harder I push myself w core work the more I hurt my body. Felt stuck. This gave me an explanation as to why, and how to get out of feeling like I have a broken body. thank you!!! So so helpful!!!
I love this gentle approach. Really activates my core. Other online exercises are so fast and mindless that I end up hurting my lower back. But here I really feel that it’s helped with core activation. Thank you!
Your voice is so soothing. I’m not into working out but I will definitely give your clases a try because you are amazing and you seem to really care. Thank you!
This was such a good video! I have had a rib injury and have been struggling with all the twisting in pilates. This video was perfect for it - thank you!
Hi Jessica! I have been doing this workout almost every morning and it feels really good for my back. Thanks for your videos, they are really great. I was wondering if you would offer a longer video for back like this one combined with other back workouts (like the one for herniated disc) and other pilates workouts. Like a 45 min video to one hour. This would be fantastic if you ever find the time. Thanks again!
Dear Jessica , Thankyou for all the work you put into your videos it is greatly appreciated. Your gentle encouragement is so helpful. I have degenerative discs in my lower back and a hip problem, slowly with the help of a great physiotherapist I’ve been seeing here in the U.K. since January I am making progress with the pain and ability to walk without so much discomfort. She suggested I start gentle Pilates to continue building the core and this video has been so helpful . Also today I listened to your new podcast Meet Your Body , it had me in tears , different body problems but same emotions, I realise I’ve got to stop being so frustrated with my body and give it some more kindness . I highly recommend any one reading this listens to it , I’m looking forward to future episodes. I’m sorry you have been through so much , you are inspirational in showing how much you can recover from a very low place . My very best wishes to you x
Thank you Jessica! I had rotator cuff surgery 3 months ago and developed a frozen shoulder. I can do almost all of these exercises-except the all fours! Great to keep my core strong while I do PT most of the day!😉
Hey Jessica could you do a beginners small pilates ball workout? Me and my boyfriend are building a playlist with different ones of your videos for variety and want to try some more small ball exercises due to small space and not being able to have the big balls
Hello Thanks for educating the community and appreciate your volunteering and thanks to your team. Question You look to bey very good health and great physic. Please please let me know how to reach your level? ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This was really nice! I like how your gentle workouts still engage and work the core. I am wondering if you have any suggestion for someone who has a degree of anterior pelvic tilt plus a larger bottom. When I am on my back, I have a larger natural curve beneath my low back, and it's harder for me to find a more traditional "neutral" position.
I wish I could work 1-1 with you! You always have the best suggestions for modifications and make me feel great for not being able to do all the Instagram things 😂🎉
I get a headache every time I try one of those mini crunches, I've checked your crunches without pain video, i just carry too much tension in my shoulders and neck. Any other ways to strengthen the neck or should I keep doing the workout for headaches?
@@Noneyabuisness1234 been there and done that. I'm a stylist so I carry tension there naturally. I get better relief with stretching, I just have to modify exercises like this because they make me sick.
The abs are engaged because they are the muscles doing the action so they have to be - you don't need to clench or anything like that! And the low back will naturally flatten but again, don't clench or actively press it down. Just lift the head and chest.
I have a question...I had a c-section 9 weeks ago. It wasn't for childbirth. I had a Laprascopy. I'm still a little swollen above my stitch. I was wondering when I should start doing gently core exercises. Do you have any advice? I started light weights for my arms and walk a lot. That's all.
You'll want to ask your doctor! For me when I had a laproscopy this was a great beginner workout for the core around that time, but check with your surgeon!
turns out after 45 + years of trauma , injurys hospital stays, abdominal and hip surgery. I find my back pain is from hyperactive back and under active glutes and core. How can I start to strengthen without activating my back ?muscle imbalance
I have been doing ENEMAS, YOGA AND PILATES for lower back pain, upper back pain, detoxing, fitness, health and wellness since 1995 when I was 13 years old.
It should be so simple, but when I am lying on my back or side to do these exercises, I keep losing circulation in my toes and there's a prickly pain in the front part of my feet. Makes me nervous ha
I like that you explained the "why" certain moves. I seem to wobble all over the place (hypermobile) so when you give those reminders, it really helps. Thanks for these great videos, Jessica.
You're welcome!
A great beginning core workout, gentle but can still feel it hit ❤

These gentle workouts really help me keep my body moving on days where I don't have the spoons for the gym. Thanks!!

Nice. I love the 15 minute when I need something quick. Better something than nothing!
Repeat beginner here - starting anew. So glad I found this one! Great routine to start with! Will be back for more tomorrow (or even later today). ;)
Just what I was needing and looking for. Thanks Jessica.

Just what I needed Thank you
Thank you for your amazing workouts!
Thanks so much really appreciated the explanation of the core as a box and that its not all about the abs.
That was wonderful thank you Jessica 🤗 it felt like a really intentional workout 🙌🏻
You explain every step so well🙏
This is my favorite yet because I can know that I am covering my bases to have healthy movement.
First time doing this felt really nice, my knees.Has been hurting me and it popped feels so much.I think i'm gonna do this maybe two times a week
Thank you for helping to ease me into this new process of working out!
Thank you so much, Jessica. I feel like you made this workout specifically for me.

Do u have any more videos after this as in improving stages thanks 🙏🏼

This routine is a good reminder of building core strength in multiple areas, not just the abs.
Thank you ❤

I have severe pain in my bac,as I have 3bulged discs,,all my weight is on my front, what’s the best excercise for me ..Thank you
what would a progression of this routine be?
Hi Jessica, just wondered when doing the chest lift is the lower back pressed into the floor and abs engaged?
Thank you in advance.
