My first show was 3-3-90. Between then and 1997 I saw maybe 10 shows. '97 I saw 2 at McNichols, CO, and 3 at MSG New Year's run. Now I am over 100 shows.
I'm the type who watches this channel a lot, yet isn't a huge Phish fan. ... Haven't been for a long while at least. Don't know exactly why I watch, but I do. Anyhow, kinda funny, my last Phish show was 2003. Was in Worcester Massachusetts. ... Remember they kept tagging that Wipeout song. ... Was a blast. First was 1995 in Mansfield, MA. Recall Fishman singing Crackling Rosie with symbols spread out upon each hand & smashing em together at the end. ... Couple buddies & myself lost our ride that night, and hitched back home within Cape Cod. ... Took a while. ... 😂🤣😂🤣. ... Was actually great times. Fond memories type of deal. So yeah, figured I'd leave some thoughts this time around. ... Thanks for all your vids. Entertaining & passes the time. Hope all out there have themselves a joyous & peaceful 2025. ... Best of everything to you & yours Mr. Zappstah. Keeps on keeping on & all that 🤠
@FZappa20 Also kinda funny, my burnt out ass just realized that my last Phish show was actually in Worcester during 1998 😜 ... 🤣😂🤣. Whatever, lotta years ago & whatnots. ... Surprised you didn't correct me on it because I mentioned Wipe Out & discovered the friggin' thing got the official release treatment. Anyhow, thanks again for all the vids. ... Gonna revisit that show a little later. ... On a lunch break at the moment. ... Shall check if you ever recapped it as well. Enjoy yourself & best regards - 🤘
I got into Phish during the Napster days of the Internet. I was downloading every random band I had ever heard of, Farmhouse had just come out and I ended up downloading it not really knowing what I was getting myself in to. Didn't have any one to guide me and didn't realize Phish was a "live" band so I just kept listening to all the studio albums for a couple of years. Eventually got into the live stuff and saw my first show on July 25, 2003 - in Charlotte, NC. Was totally blown away. Got to see the first 2 NYE shows in Miami that year. They "broke up" in 2004 and I moved on. Didn't listen to them at all for 20 years until they posted the Gamehenge New Years Eve show last year, fell back in love with them hard and have been playing catch up all year. Glad to be back. What'd I miss? haha
That is a unique Phish origin story! They did a 13 show summer run at MSG in 2017. Of all the stuff you missed, The Baker's Dozen at MSG is a must hear. Summer 2015 was also a really good tour.
My first show was Raleigh’98, a year after the infamous lightning show at the same venue. Took two hits of Jerry Print, started going by Stash early in set 1, cruised through the next few familiar tunes, stopped in my tracks by the new (to me at the time) Ghost, only to get slapped silly with those opening notes of Col Forbin. The story that followed was crazy AF and I was all in from then on!
I was at the 21st and 22nd in 2003. Cold and snowy we sleep in Kentucky across the bridge in the car. Drove over from VA with just a buddy and comfort wasn’t in the budget. My first show Boone 94.
Had a great first show at the Arlington theater in Santa Barbara in 94 followed up by Laguna seca daze for my next 2 shows. Somehow snuck in and got some free acid as well. Was hooked. For about a year and a half until Trey started writing some super cheeseball rock songs with paper thin vocals. Been a problematic relationship since 96. Oh well
That’s a good feeling after the show when the only thing you wanna do is go to more shows. My 1st show was Knoxville, TN ‘95 when 100s of hippies were arrested & they opened up with Stash 😂. & they didn’t come back to Knoxville for a long time. Stellar show though. Mid 90s were fire
@FZappa20 hmmm..not sure about that. The Appolo astronauts said it rang like a bell when they hit it with a heavy object. Either way I'm a big fan as you know.
@FZappa20 My friend who dragged me to my first show had heard by word of mouth that they were playing and wanted me to go. I’m glad I did😉 I went home and bought Picture of Nectar and was off to the races. I haven’t looked back since.
From the Fox through Charlotte was a good run. Then N. Charleston’s lot put an end to the run. Recouped in Charlotte and called it a tour. ‘96 was much easier. Days of dancing between The Dead and Phish were over.
My first show I went to both Nights Night 2 was better but both changed my life and 40 shows later and 22 years later...Im still upside down I vividly remember the drive to Cinci from Cedarville University First night I stayed with friends in Cinci but most could not go the 2nd night so we had to stay in Kentucky at the Econo Lodge (no fire in our shitty hotel) and walk the long bridge on the Ohio River 7 below would have been appropriate either night but they did not play it Harry Hood hooked me for life that cold flurry night ....and now I live in Akron and Blossom is my backyard venue I can literally bike to it MPP Camden Reading Santeander Blossom USBank Arena Spectrum Peterson Center Pittsburgh Star Lake (most recently 2023) Hershey Park and Wachovia Center have all been a blast but Blossom and Camden are the best venues ....a shitty hockey arena only played once called Santeander housed my favorite show only 8800 in attendance in 2013 one of my favorite Phish years The 31 second same note from Trey during Velvet Sea encore is now so much like the 1:30 second note in Harry Hood 12-30-24 just the other day Feels full circle to me I was thinking about the lyrics Trey injected into the dance party on NYE and I think he is trying to show how much he respects his own lyrics and how they have become woven into the fabric of all fans lives ....he does use really big vocabulary just look at the lyrics to Stash for example ....It may be a bit arrogant but I get what he was trying to do ...i saw a newscaster woman use Phish lyrics in her nightly news and it was like an inside joke because no one knew but her on set and all of us fans that can watch it on youtube I wish I started seeing Phish in 1995 but I was only 13 years old Still waiting on a Dont You Wanna Go>JJLC bustout JJLC last played at the MET 2019 now 6 years and Dont You Wanna Go? has not been played for 30 years

I’ll try to get to the bottom of it At least you can respond to me as your wife but you shouldn’t have to Whatever I did I want to undo it

That's awesome man! Just looked up the show and it definitely looks good on paper. I'll have to give it a listen some time
My first real show was Raleigh ‘22. A bit late in the game, but I’m trying to make up for it these days.
This was my first show. Good times!
I went to shows to party in 98 and 99 but really got into the music and was hooked by 2000
For me, it was shows in 99-00, then got hooked during the hiatus after going to Bonnaroo 1
My first show was April of '94, but I didn't really get into them until Tweezerfest of '14.
My first show was on 6/6/1990 at the Barrel House in Salem, VA ☮️❤️🎸
My first show is 12/10/1994, Santa Monica Civic. I love that show.
My first show was Raleigh’98, a year after the infamous lightning show at the same venue. Amazing setlist. Amazing show. Decently amazing playing
My 1stbshow was Halloween 1995 in Chicago. Cant believe they played The WHO. I was hooked ever since.
03:45 yea weird how they're literally telepathic and talk to people in their heads at shows lol
I was at the 21st and 22nd in 2003. Cold and snowy we sleep in Kentucky across the bridge in the car. Drove over from VA with just a buddy and comfort wasn’t in the budget. My first show Boone 94.

I was at that show! My first was SPAC 94.
I remember a Harry hood! These were my first shows as well!
I saw two shows in Cincy ‘99 and ‘00, don’t remember much, unlike my first show at Meriweather ‘99
Did you see Yoda while you were at Cincinnati in 2003. That was me and a bunch of buddies, we actually got Yoda, a life-size, into the show
I don't remember that but I'll ask the guys who I went with if they do
That’s a good feeling after the show when the only thing you wanna do is go to more shows. My 1st show was Knoxville, TN ‘95 when 100s of hippies were arrested & they opened up with Stash 😂. & they didn’t come back to Knoxville for a long time. Stellar show though. Mid 90s were fire
my first show was 2/26/03. epic show on many levels
You should do some Zappa video's! Favourite live era that sort of thing.
I still don’t understand how some people can remember so many details from shows let alone shows from 20+ years ago
My first show was Dayton 97. What a pick right?
99 was my 2 nd &3rd show Good times. Hopped the bus from ND 185$ in my pocket.
“I thought there were saying goodbye to me”
Noob!!!
LMAO
We called nitrous Hippy Crack
You'll never forget your first show. Fosho! Kaboom 👊
Yep
Booom
The snow looks awesome with this moon tonight!
@FZappa20 Good old moon! You know it's hallow right?
@spuddougherty7860 it's full of helium and made of cheese
@FZappa20 hmmm..not sure about that. The Appolo astronauts said it rang like a bell when they hit it with a heavy object. Either way I'm a big fan as you know.
can’t beat those Gordon bass bombs you feel right in the chest
“Intensive porpoises”😂
Hi mary
My first show was 4-5-92. Ya’ll making me feel old 😅 I didn’t even plan on going. My friend dragged me with him. Changed my life forever
My actual first show was 99 if that makes you feel less old. I somehow didn't get it my first 2 shows
@FZappa20 My friend who dragged me to my first show had heard by word of mouth that they were playing and wanted me to go. I’m glad I did😉 I went home and bought Picture of Nectar and was off to the races. I haven’t looked back since.
My first show was 7/19/13. Rain ended the show early. 😢😂
Hello Kev & Mary

Who hears lifeboy? Nice show
McNichols 97 with the ghost.
Waterloo village 95
First show that was released officially that you were in the crowd for is?
7/23/99, which was my actual first show.
12/16/99. Floor. They should release all of Fall ‘95 tho.
@@david-gd32495 Was 12/16 Philadelphia? I have a vague memory of a great show around that date
@ Lake Placid NY
From the Fox through Charlotte was a good run. Then N. Charleston’s lot put an end to the run. Recouped in Charlotte and called it a tour. ‘96 was much easier. Days of dancing between The Dead and Phish were over.

I vividly remember the drive to Cinci from Cedarville University First night I stayed with friends in Cinci but most could not go the 2nd night so we had to stay in Kentucky at the Econo Lodge (no fire in our shitty hotel) and walk the long bridge on the Ohio River 7 below would have been appropriate either night but they did not play it
Harry Hood hooked me for life that cold flurry night ....and now I live in Akron and Blossom is my backyard venue I can literally bike to it
MPP Camden Reading Santeander Blossom USBank Arena Spectrum Peterson Center Pittsburgh Star Lake (most recently 2023) Hershey Park and Wachovia Center have all been a blast but Blossom and Camden are the best venues ....a shitty hockey arena only played once called Santeander housed my favorite show only 8800 in attendance in 2013 one of my favorite Phish years
The 31 second same note from Trey during Velvet Sea encore is now so much like the 1:30 second note in Harry Hood 12-30-24 just the other day Feels full circle to me I was thinking about the lyrics Trey injected into the dance party on NYE and I think he is trying to show how much he respects his own lyrics and how they have become woven into the fabric of all fans lives ....he does use really big vocabulary just look at the lyrics to Stash for example ....It may be a bit arrogant but I get what he was trying to do ...i saw a newscaster woman use Phish lyrics in her nightly news and it was like an inside joke because no one knew but her on set and all of us fans that can watch it on youtube
I wish I started seeing Phish in 1995 but I was only 13 years old
Still waiting on a Dont You Wanna Go>JJLC bustout JJLC last played at the MET 2019 now 6 years and Dont You Wanna Go? has not been played for 30 years
Hey man, this is Kevin/Fzappa. I can never reply to your comments. I get a message saying “action not allowed”. Did you maybe block me at some point?
