Southern Turkey: Exploring Bodrum, Bodrum Castle & Mausoleum of Halicarnassus

We only had 2 days to explore Bodrum, but I think we made the most of it. Of course, we had to check out Bodrum Castle first, which has stunning views over the ocean and city. There were even wild peacocks roaming around, which Isla loved.
The ferry port is such a nice place to walk around, as well as the bazaar, which is located close by. The narrow streets are so beautiful and definitely reminiscent of Greece with the white and blue buildings and evil eyes everywhere. The walk around the seaside is gorgeous and of course there's a playground for the kids to stop and play at.
The mausoleum of Halicarnassus is a site not to be missed when in Bodrum, being that it was one of the original 7 wonders of the ancient world. The site is massive and although it is in ruins, there was so much information there and it was so cool to walk around and through the ruins.
Bodrum is also a great place to take day trips to nearby Greek islands, which is what we will be doing in the next video!
