Hey, I'm struggling to get the loop going, could you help clarify where I'm going wrong? currently at 2683 life and 1992 ES (taking back 467 damage with 90% fire res) and I have 229% energy gain modifier. Supposedly, at 1500:3.29=456, meaning I'm taking 467 damage but I should get enough energy from taking 456 or more damage, however it's not working. Could it be because my comet is not high level enough (21 atm and costing 224 mana), so it doesn't cost enough infernal flame to fill the whole bar in one cast/echo? Much appreciated!
You probably need a higher total spell rank for it to work properly, I believe mine was at 25 or 26 when I started with this build. This version of the build requires a combination of a high base mana cost and increased mana cost / decreased total mana nodes to ensure each activation of Barrier Invocation fills the Infernal Flame bar 3 times to generate enough shield damage and refill the energy to cast again
@@TheCurseBG Not discord but I messaged you ingame about it :) you suggested increasing spell level (I now have a +4 wand and +2 neck). Still not there (even though I tested it with a +5 wand and +3 neck), but I think it's because I'm running out of ES mid comet barrage. I'm on 712 life regen (without flask on) and 2895 life so I need to increase my life/life regen.
CI makes it so we cannot go low life and then we lose a lot of the regen from the shield and from various nodes on the tree. But CI has other benefits so it's worth exploring.

damn this is exactly what i had in mind but i got burned out after running the acts again :D was also planning to get as much crit as possible, literally everywhere i could fit it like running 2x Seed of Cataclysm rings for +120% crit dmg which would be 192 i think with the more multipliers u have access to as infernalist+pain attunement.
@@TheCurseBG ye, I was literally planning to put all my eggs in one basket just to see how high crit dmg can go by running the boss unique body armour which gives all Res per rune and put Res runes in all slots for 60+ all Res and running the double cataclysm with the unique belt which increases ring effects cuz even without the belt it has like 2x higher crit dmg rolls than wands/focus/gloves
Now pivoted into full retardation crit DD/archmage/spirit stacker with the unique focus which gives 13% spell dmg per 10 spirit so I can run a sceptre for +4 minion skill+#%minion health+mana+spirit. So the tree becomes pretty much free for anything cuz all the dmg comes from focus/archmage/minion health
I'd recommend around 75-80. Just keep in mind that until you have the right amount of hp/es/metaenergy%, you will have to cast eye of winter and won't have the gameplay I have. It takes some investment to get there. But I spammed eye of winter to farm my way up to this point so it is doable :)
I doubt you’d sustain enough minions for this kind of trigger rate. You can only get 81% chance to not destroy a minion and it requires a unique wand with somewhat questionable stats. Using it with Corpsewade for example kills all of your minions extremely quickly and then you’re left waiting 8-10 seconds for them to respawn.
@@TheCurseBG Upon further investigating it, it seems like a bad idea now, as I don't know how you'd be able to sustain the minions for this. This combined with the atrocious playstyle where u actually need to target the minions made me completely abandon the idea. Thanks for the reply tho!
Uniques are 1 exalt each. Getting enough hp and res on gear can take a bit of farming. The most expensive part is definitely jewels. I bought a lot of jewels early on. I was poor but overinvested in jewels when everyone was still buying mainly gear. So I have a lot of good ones.

Would about using Chaos Inoculation instead of the Beidat ascendancy nodes to reduce life total?

I bet GGG gonna "fix" this build by making so self damage doesn't count towards autocast ability energy
Heya. How did you get Double ES from Last Video without big changes?
I got really high ES on helmet/gloves/boots. Right now 208 ES helmet, 177 boots, 119 gloves. Also, 20% energy shield jewels help a lot.

How can you get 90% Fire Res? I only see 5% from shield and no rubies slotted which would have 2% max fire res

Cataclysm is so yolo I love it. I just can't fit it without wrecking my res :D

how did you get up to 3,2k life? i tried push my life as hard as i could but i cant even reach the 3k mark
I have a lot of strength giving me extra life. I have enough dex/int for gem requirements and everything extra goes to str for life.

@ I’ve seen monks chunk bosses in 4-5 hits, so don’t get it twisted. I think this is pretty good for a build that just presses shield all the time.
