The fact that they got Freddie Highmore (Charlie Bucket in the 2005 Wonka film) to come back and play Charlie again but have it based off the real life scam is hilarious
The only thing missing is Johnny Depp reprising his role as Willy Wonka, coming back to express his disappointment, and possibly help Charlie restore the factory to its former glory.

People know him best as either Shaun Murphy or Norman Bates. But when I was a kid, I first knew him as Charlie Bucket. How nice for him to remember one of his most famous roles. Even if it was done in a goofy manner. He still looks good in that sweater.

Dude, this would genuinely be a really dope movie. Like the kid who ended up getting everything in the original screwed the factory up so bad and is now living in his fantasy world pretending everything is fine while it’s so crappy. Awesome concept and great performance by freddie, honestly made me super happy!

Of all the things I’ve seen Freddie Highmore do with his acting, this 3 minute clip of him reprising his role of Charlie Buckett in a parody about the Wonka Experience is the most freeing I’ve seen him act. Because you’ve seen him as Bates Motel and “I am A Surgeon” which are usually serious roles and even seen him in dramatic roles but Comedy and Essentially Free Range is something so shocking to see that I want to see more of it😂😂😂
Also, the fact that this is basically a reenactment of what went down at the Wonka Experience and the entire thing with the craziness and creepiness of “The Unknown” is so wild😂😂😂

Freddie is so adorable for this. Still love his Charlie and the Chocolate Factory film too. The og Willy Wonka fans can hate all they want but they can't change the fact that the Tim Burton version stands on its own and is also beloved.

I agree. The girl who played the Oompa Loompa was genuinely trying to entertain the visitors, and if you follow her on social media, she’s very entertaining and fun! Same goes for the girl who played the Unknown!
When it came down to it, the actors involved with this genuinely tried to give people a memorable experience (with the exception of the guy who ran the thing; he was a scam artist plain and simple), and they’re clearly still making the most of their time in it. It’s actually pretty nice.

Freddie Highmore needs to meet Peter Ostrum, the original Charlie Bucket. And I think it would be cool if they were to make their own version of the chocolate factory experience, I think their version would be more exciting for the kids.

I used to be obsessed with the 2005 Willy Wonka movie back in Middle School to Early High School and had wished to see the cast reunite for more. So far, this is more than what is to come next year for the 20th anniversary which is probably nothing, but who knows at this point?

This is probably one of the funniest things to come out of the Glasgow Wonka fiasco. I’m amazed they got Freddie to be part of this, I absolutely lost it when he started singing AI generated lyrics. You know you messed up bad, when a comedy talk show makes fun of your event and Charlie Bucket himself is part of it.
Freddie is actually a funny man when he has the opportunity. I feel kinda bad for him having to do that awful Good Doctor segment “I AM A SURGEON!” cause he’s perfect as a comedy actor.
