Hey guys! Firstly, I found your channel recently and I like how you review cars. Honest, factual and your observations are not overly exagerated *cough* Doug Demuro *cough*. I am a strong believer that you pay for what you get for. Yuri said it best: "You take the essential elements of the other brands and focus that in this car". Having said that, the price to pay for the service which is done by Hyundai is where it hurts! Hyundai North America has a HUGE issue with customer service. If I am about to drop 90K$ CDN on any car, I want the service to be tip-top! Lexus has been a solid stable when it comes to after-sales service and many car makers in the "premium category" such as Lincoln, Infiniti and Volvo have and continue to improve and cater to this selective clientele. Having done a stint at a Hyundai/Genesis dealership, I would wait a bit longer before considering buying this type of vehicle (G70 is OK). My money would be 1st: Mercedes-Benz E Class, Volvo S90, Lincoln Continental and BMW 5 Series (540i and above). Like anything in life, if you are paying less for something "similar" then this is a clear sign that something was sacrificed. Keep up the good work!
My father bought the 2019. I was able to take it on a couple road trips. I like the 3.3 Turbo better. I love the grill on this year. I also like the new rear end. I do not like the wheels this year. Not my style. Love this car.A used G80 is my attainable car as my dream car Lexus LC500 is still way out of reach. Great vid guys!!
Finallyyyy! Thank you! I love the OG Hyundai Genesis that came out for the 2009 model year, and now the Genesis cars! Such an amazing value. Who cares about the badge on the front of the car? These cars have always had almost every feature that their higher-end competitors have had since the first generation, and have shown to be great value used and new. I really appreciate what Hyundai did with these cars
Great video! I don't like a manual sunroof cover. And the sunroof should be either larger or a double like the Cadillac CT6. Not enough USB cables in the back seat.
@japanwatchconnection do they really need innovation from history? I guess they did make boats they also raced their WRC Accent in 2001 Rally. Anyways people don't care about that they just like how the car makes them feel. Do you think every person who drives a Mercedes knows about their cars history? Thanks for the opinion but I think I'd still buy it just because I love how the car can actually make me feel something by just looking at it. I'd say the same for my neighbor as they bought a fully loaded G70 and a manager at my local home depot also bought a new genesis. So people actually don't care the history of cars lol.
japanwatchconnection same was said about Lexus. However, Hyundai took 35 of the best designers and engineers from the German competition. Why did they jump? Because Hyundai gives them the freedom to do what they want. I can always spot novice car guys.
@Kit Kefner but hyundai does have a reputation. They make ships, EV cars, the tiburon from the 90s that everyone loved. Idk why their Mitsubishi days shadow that.
everything good except the tail light design. it wouldve been much better if they didnt connect the two tail lights with one red line. 4:39 just put your finger in the middle of the two tail lights and see how good they look.
This in my opinion is the best looking new luxury sedan by far. The styling of the grille, headlights, wheels, and tail lights are just SO fresh, classy and cool compared to all the usual luxury sedans nowadays. Definitely gonna catch more eyes than your average new Mercedes S-class.
Probably people that don't know cars say that. I remember there was a video of the Hyundai Equus when it first came out where people thought it was a Maybach
Excellent review by TheStraightPipes. Genesis is killing it! Can't wait to drive the refreshed 2020 G80 when it finally gets here. [FYI - Last week I rented a 2019 Mercedes-Benz S560 (w/ Premium and Performance packages) and drove it from LA to Sacramento and back. Verdict: Nice, but WAY overpriced. The biggest disappointment was the ride quality: great when I was driving solo; very not great when I had two other adults (both fairly petite women) riding with me. Also, the seat massage function is completely worthless, IMO, even on "High Intensity" with heated massage function on.]

Good job bro~~ are you usa?
@@richguy8317 yes
@@chucknorris5141 g90 is perfect car. Enjoy~~
Like it more then a S class, 7 or a8
Finallyyyy!
I really appreciate what Hyundai did with these cars
japanwatchconnection how so?
This is a car that wasn't rushed to the manufacturing line. Excellent car, excellent review. Nevermind the celebrities, you guys already nailed it! 😎
I love this video so much for all the outside in action shots. Love to see the wheels spin. Thanks, guys!
This looks like a cross between a Volvo and a Lincoln
If I saw that thing coming towards me I'd be scared to get eaten by that massive grill...
UncommonManFromEarth it’s gunna get you!!
i would say the new 7 series is bit more scarier than of the g90.
@@iGuardian183 the bmw will come to sniff you
IM P I’m just a little bug. See me riding round doin’ bug stuff.
Me too looks scaryyy!!!!
I fricking love this car. Legit looks great. And the wheels! Oh my god, the wheels.
Hyundai has come a long way and they’re better than ever as far as I see.
Great video! I don't like a manual sunroof cover. And the sunroof should be either larger or a double like the Cadillac CT6. Not enough USB cables in the back seat.
It really looks like a Korean Benz but in a very different and interesting way.
Genesis is slowly growing on me for some reason
Legit people not mistaking this to a Bentley or a Rolls Royce. ...
@japanwatchconnection how is it fake? Because Filippo Perini designed it lol??
@@cargueone1971 facts!
@Kit Kefner but hyundai does have a reputation. They make ships, EV cars, the tiburon from the 90s that everyone loved. Idk why their Mitsubishi days shadow that.
As someone who will most likely always buy used cars. I WILL buy this car in the future. Amazing styling and great interior
everything good except the tail light design. it wouldve been much better if they didnt connect the two tail lights with one red line. 4:39 just put your finger in the middle of the two tail lights and see how good they look.
If you open the front grill Phil Collins steps out! ☝️😁
Jajaja
Seems like a modern day VW Phaeton
Wow, that G90 looks amazing
My wife has an S Class AMG Sport, I have an SL. This car SERIOUSLY impresses me.
This in my opinion is the best looking new luxury sedan by far. The styling of the grille, headlights, wheels, and tail lights are just SO fresh, classy and cool compared to all the usual luxury sedans nowadays. Definitely gonna catch more eyes than your average new Mercedes S-class.
MDX sedan was my first thought when seeing the front end and the back is Lincoln.
I can see that 🤔
Jack njones go trill somewhere else.
“Is this a Bentley or a Rolls Royce?”
Said no person ever
Probably people that don't know cars say that. I remember there was a video of the Hyundai Equus when it first came out where people thought it was a Maybach

IS THAT A SUPRA

Should have made the radar patch the same shape as the grill
Lol. No. It won't look good. Triangle and a rectangle.
Someone on Instagram yesterday guessed today's car. He/She said that the armrest looked like a BMW's so it is a Hyundai/Genesis. LOL Spot On!!!
This channel is just the best.
I can’t believe Ontario hasn’t scrapped the front plate yet, New Brunswick just recently did it and I’m so happy
That car is huge. Looks like a Lincoln from the back.
I’ve never seen Uri take the “hammer” out the Volvo until this episode! Hilarious, love you guys and keep up the great work!!!
2:06 why is this channel so awesome? Lol

The new G90 in a pearl silver looks Amazing Love the rims still going to purchase a G70 3.3T Sport next week
Wow I envy you.
That's a front bumper only an owner can love lol
This looks like a mafia staff car.
Sebastian Chan the mafia has taste though.
SAVAGE TUNER Still better than any American offerings at the moment. Imagine a mafia boss in a CT6 or a Continental.. oh wait.. thats just an Uber driver.
Jack Johnson How about one in a CTS-V with over 700hp? Mafia bosses don’t have a Hyundai budget. And by the way, a continental is very expensive nowadays.
SAVAGE TUNER Why would they waste their money on a 700hp piece of crap when they can get any european car with the same performance and real luxury.
Jack Johnson because there is no European sedan with over 700hp and made in America? Europeans are crap these days anyway. They’re all ugly too
Looks like they took some design cues from Lincoln if I'm being honest.
still a handsome looking car would you say the same?
SWFL G650 for sure
0:19 notice when Yuri launches it the rear sunblind says hi.
