    They need to play this more live instead of all that ballad nonsense!

      They had killer stuff in the 70's. They really changed. The rock bands of the 70's all seemed to go to a more pop/ballad sound in the 80's.

      Yeah just thinking this classic "stoner" killer riff and haunting vocals could be sandwiched betreen "Love in a elevator" and "Dude looks like a Lady" makes me nauseated.

  • @JIMJAMSC
    @JIMJAMSC 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    A great some what hidden gem by the unassuming Brad Whitford.
    Another great atmospheric groove, ethereal vocals that drape perfectly.
    Pure powerful tube amp guitar work that is hard to control with not much to hide mistakes behind but Whitford handles it with his slow methodical fretwork. A+

  • @mashamist
    @mashamist 13 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Such a heavy song. It almost scares me how heavy it is and is sort of out of context for the album. I mean this is on the same album as big 10 inch. What a crazy contrast...from bebop to this headbanging heroin shit. LOVE THIS SONG...I can get lost in it. They fucked up at 1:47 but whatever.

    Man, I 've seen em' at their worse, and seen them at their best. And MANY times since 1978. Never did I once ever see a show where they played this one, and no matter how messed up I was, I always brought a golf pencil and a tiny notepad to write down the setlist/

      I've seen Aerosmith quite a few times myself. Being from Boston we used to go to the Warehouse in Waltham waiting out side for the band to come in. I remember vividly in 1978 when they started rehearsing Night in the ruts material... hearing a slide guitar riff which turned into to Cheese Cake. I've seen these guys over 15 times and the set list in the 70's and 80's didn't wane much except for new material but the rare ones for me was hearing "No Surprise- Somebody- The Movie (in Lynn) Get it up" live.

      Real fans would gladly attend a show where they'd play Round and Round, Kings and Queens, Nobody's Fault and the likes, not Pink and I don't wanna miss a thing. Sadly, real fans are few and far between.
