whats the use of those social media icons if the whole thing is rendered as one image and they cannot be clicked?

so i'm stuck on this exact same thing and thought I could get answers here.
      what I found:
You create the instagram, facebook etc. icons in a separate design. Customize it as 50 x 50 pixels.
Insert each logo separately and save them to your computer as a png, size type 3.
Once you have them saved go to your gmail the same way you would add the signature image.
You add those facebook and instagram icons separate.
Once they are viewed in the signature text box you highlight one at a time, click the link icon. upload link you want attached.
do this for the next one. ex: highlight instagram icon, click link icon, add instagram link, done.
so my issue is that you can even move the images around to your desired liking... it been really frustrating to figure this out.
      someone have a solution?
ps, I need a specific text, color, design, which is why i'm using Canva because it matches the business layout.

@@Thunderbusadventures thank you for the above. as you say, it doesn't make sense to have the icons separate as thrn they are not part of the design? so will not look greast at all. There must be a way to add them into the design on the templates? Anyone have any idead?

Create a HTML generator instead and teach us the real way. An image is useless. A signature should be HTML

The irony here is that the messaging is all about having a modern style of signature, yet it's a single image that doesn't support different links or allow recipients to copy your information from. People stopped making signatures like that 20 years ago...
Basically, the tool makes pretty pictures that are useless.

Making the signature an image instead of HTML code is no good.

Another overlooked part of Canva that is essentially useless. In 2024, are you telling us that it's too difficult to provide an export option that renders all of this in an actual HTML table with styling etc.
