A trick for getting a wraith completely undamaged: kill the gunner, then hop in the turret. The driver will get out, so blast him quick. Now you have a perfect wraith without any damage, including keeping the pilot cover intact! This trick works with every Halo game where there is a gunner seat in a wraith. I used it a lot way back to solo a couple LASO missions back when they were weekly challenges in 360 Reach. Eventually got good enough with the wraith that I was able to accurately shoot things very far away, which helped in multiplayer, using it as a proper artillery platform than a "scorpion, but worse."
Are you sure? I know it works for Reach, I've done it plenty there, but when I tried to pull the trick off in Halo 3, it just wouldn't work. Maybe it works in the other games (I only have Reach and 3), but I dunno.
my mates and i discovered this during out own LASO runs of the halo games. by pure accident I got into a wraith gunner seat while an enemy was in it and the dude just hopped out. having wraiths in perfect condition is rather helpful
I discovered it by pure accident to I was playing through long night of solace tried to hijack the wraith and accidentally got into the gunner seat and the elite hopped out

Yeah, I played it on Easy with Bandana skull and it took ages, eventually it was mostly running from a load super overshielded Zealots occasionally sniping them in the head and sticking plasma grenades but that still wasn't very effective. Canon for Noble 6 though 😁
I'm still convinced that Tails is Luke's second account. Whenever Tails joins and plays, luke goes "AFK", standing around, barely moving It's like they never do anything at the same time...
Legendary is the only way to play Reach and truly grasp the atmosphere of the game. The true feeling of facing a torturous enemy while your team all dies around you as you barely accomplish missions, only for something else to go horribly wrong. If it wasnt for the UNSC accidentally discovering the rings, humanity would've been genocided for sure.
id recommend legendary on all missions besides long night of solace in MCC. The space part is just straight up broken unless you cower behind cover or know the speedrun strat to get them all as they spawn
21:11 a little tip for others playing in the future, in that last firefight section in Long Night of Solace, one player can jump into the Pelican's machine gun by crouching under the cockpit on its left side and holding the Use button. At first have to shoot down so you can see, but then you become completely invulnerable and have a really good weapon to take out Elite shields
You two were lucky. Everytime I came into the room, the turret kept getting Naded before I could get to it. So I had to use George as a distraction as I meticulously assassinated each Elite one at a time.
I am flat out impressed every time a new LASO video releases. You guys definitely earned my respect, most people would have given up long ago! This inspires me to do ODST and Reach solo legendary. I've already done Halo 1-3 solo legendary with no shortcuts or glitches👍
Nice! I have done all of them solo legendary. I'll let you know that ODST is the easiest one to solo legendary. Reach is very hard, not halo CE or 2 hard, but close.
Reach solo legendary can actually be a ton of fun, like a dark souls type of challenge, it starts really hard (specially with the second level) but you really feel how you are getting better at it. Keep in mind a few things, plasma pistol + DMR best combo for elites, if you get a shotgun stick to it specially for jackals, and in the package the best thing that you can do for a solo run at the last fire fight is getting a plasma pistol, a dmr, and a jet pack, use the dmr to bait banshees, the plasma pistol to freeze them and the jet pack to fly and hijack them
@@megyumiyoshi1062 Personally I would never keep a shotgun for jackals, they can be so easily killed at a distance by just shooting their hand then head.
Way back in the day my friends and I completed Tip of the Spear LASO for a weekly challenge, it was one of the toughest things we had ever done, and we had to repeat the Spire approach section so many times that Jorge's "Teleporters? Linked to what?" line is still an inside joke my friend group uses to this day, probably a decade later.
for anyone trying to do LASO, I highly recommend doing the "beat the entire campaign on legendary in under 3 hours" achievement first, and look up speed runs of the game. Obviously, things like the Wraith belly skip on Truth and Reconciliation is probably not viable, but things like the forklift glitch on Nightfall, (maybe) the falcon grab on Winter Contingency and tricks like that on top of the under 3 hours achievement will probably give you a really good idea of what enemies you have to kill and which ones you don't and that can help out a lot
Back in the day when Reach first released, most of the laso levels could be easily beaten by either sprinting through them or finding a nice safe spot and forcing your ai teammates to do all the work. At least that's how I beat it back then, not to say it was easy because it sure as fuck wasn't. It took tons of enemy spawn memorization and memorization of their pathing but once you knew those two things it wasn't that bad.
Something interesting that many may not know, at the beginning of Winter Contingency when you hold out for the evac falcon, there is actually 2 spots you can hold out at, so there actually isn't a wrong way once you get into the truck. You will either hold out at the river or the structure. Of course, whoever is in front will get to decide which spot you are going to hold out at. At that point, yes there is a wrong way. Something else that is pretty cool, is that in the part of the cutscene in The Package where you learn you aren't actually there for a demo op & Halsey is explaining to you what tf you are looking at while the elevator descends vertically (before you is an alien artifact, blah blah blah) you can actually look around during this part of the cutscene.
I remember I wanted the cqb helmet in reach which required completing the campaign on legendary. I had just learned about Laso runs and thought it would be fun to laso solo it with no teammates. It was the most challenging thing I'd ever done in a game but def made me proud of my helmet.
9:55 So you guys had this issue too? I'm on Series X, and only Reach would have these flashing white textures blinding the screen. I reached out to 343, and they didnt even know what was going on. To whoever's perspective this is, might have a fix, because I had this problem for several weeks, and it disappeared one day. My Series X was sitting vertical tilted at the slightest angle to the left, like maybe 10 degrees or something like that, and I recently moved it to a flatter spot after I needed space. The other thing I did was change my armor set up. Plus I also played MCC on PC for the first time, so save data was synched up. I'm not sure what did it exactly, but it was fixed.
It's a fairly widespread problem on the series X but I haven't seen anyone address it. Strange how it's obviously happening in this video and they don't mention anything at all 🤔
Slightly related, i have this problem with the Halo Infinite screen margins not working for Exclusive Fullscreen. I can only see the full screen while in Window mode, which is a pain in the butt to say the least. I submitted a ticket to 343 and they have no fix or patch planned. If anyone knows how to fix plz respond
I recently started my simple legendary run through of the halo campaigns I started with Reach first and geez I wanted to quit several times. The hardest missions isn’t even Long Night of Solace. It’s the last mission since you don’t get any precision weapons when holding off the brutes while waiting for Keyes.
There's supposed to be an easter egg in that area where if you punch a specific wall a crate full of DMR ammo pops out, which unfortunately often doesn't work on MCC due to subtle physics changes - I believe the consensus was that it pops out and off the level when it spawns instead of waiting there like it's supposed to. If you can get that to work (look up "halo reach the pillar of autumn hidden DMR crate") that should make it much easier. It's definitely one of the toughest areas in the game, one I had trouble with in my regular legendary run as well, and took me probably 4 hours or so SLASO - and that's not even counting the fight to the MAC gun right after.
There is a crate of DMRs in the building to the left as you enter. It is hidden in the walls. You have to mele the wall outside next to canyon and it will glitch through the wall.
Also want to add, like RS say in their videos, HaloCompletionist/Silver has **amazing** videos for every MCC achievement, including LASO, speedruns, par times/scores, and regular legendary. I can't recommend his videos enough, though I think for normal legendary it's probably better used as a last resort since it's so satisfying to do it yourself in your own way, but definitely can save you from pulling out your hair.
It's obviously almost impossible to come up with unique Halo content but I just wanted to say that your videos stand out. They are well edited, good commentary and interesting.
Best and worst for me was the package. The section with the invisible elites was truly awful (I think that took a solid day or so?) But the part after that was great.
Oh god, the landing platform on the Pillar of Autumn (sorry, got the level wrong) being chased by a brute with a plasma launcher for 30 minutes of constant checkpoint reloading where you're in that small shotgun closet on the lower platform and having just enough time to get one shot with a shotgun because I had no ammo. It was fucking luck that I managed to dodge the blast and survive on my winning attempt.
@@jaelin9107 killing the armoured guys is easy when you have ample room, and so are the guys with the plasma launchers, but when you don't have room to manouvre or duck to cover, it becomes significantly harder. Also, Idk why people hate that part of Exodus. (For one, those aren't pelicans, but falcons, as you can only drive a pelican with the New Aleandria easter egg) It is on rails, but it is fairly short and as long as you shoot at the three banshees, you can't die. I know it wasn't meant for me, but still.
That trick is what convinced me that reach laso is easy. I beat it despite not having the accuracy needed to pepper elites with the plasma pistol; I'd just get around behind them and use melee.
Did a laso run for the 2 last days on reach , Best weapon against elites in reach are their own plasma rifle , it just blast their shields and you finish them by one tap in the head , did it just yesterday and for the jackals with shields you need the covenant dmr ( don’t know the exact name , the thing that ressemble a needler) when you shoot their hand they jump and you can pop them in the head a thing you can’t do with the unsc dmr
What's the solo save exploit. Is that the revert the last save kinda by quickly ending the game when you die i.e. go back to xbox dashboard and press 'Continue SLASO'' playthrough. I believe I did this back in 2014-2015 for Halo CE, got stuck on Truth and Reconcilliation and never went back since.
the amount of creativity possible with combat is so cool, most fps games don't have that much variation with strategy in campaigns, even great campaigns like Titanfall 2. you can choose different ways to shoot, but thats pretty much it. in multiplayer theres usually a ton more variation, especially with fast movement, but Halo seems to capture that in a singleplayer or co-op experience
Honestly, recently me and my brother started a LASO marathon, so Reach to Halo 4. We're about to finish the last mission, aka, Pillar of Autumn, on Reach, which we'll get done tomorrow. But honestly, i considered New Alexandria easy. Didn't even need to call in another helicopter, we just used the one from the beginning. Honestly, hardest part of the entire mission for me and him were the jetpack elites in the hospital, but even then we found a weird thing where if the jetpack elites entered our shield, they would do nothing but walk slowly to us, and shoot a little bit. We absolutely abused that, and without too many deaths, we got the mission done fairly quick, i think it was about an hour and 30 mins, faster than any other level. So yeah New Alexandria is the one I'd say is the easiest for Halo Reach LASO personally. I am still afraid to try and beat Pillar of Autumn tomorrow, but I'm sure I'll get it done.
I did the pvp equivalent in destiny, “now you’re just showing off”. To get it, you had to get 2,500 kills at a 100 power disadvantage in iron banner in a specific season. By my count, it took more than 36 hours over the 3 iron banner weeks.
I'll never understand where's the fun and joy about these LASO runs, in any Halo game, where you basically spend at least 50% of time trying to find paths to avoid enemies because they are just impossible to take down - even in a 4 co-op players run. The Beautiful and often perfectly balanced Legendary/Heroic gameplay is SO abnormally muted into a frustrating and impossible mess. But well, I guess it's just me! Props to you guys for the willing to do this ;)
Some people just like challenging themselves. Personally I've played most of the campaigns so much (halo 5 excluded) that legendary isn't a challenge, and LASO gave me the chance to learn a whole new way to play.
ODST was easily the easiest LASO out of the 6 games. my friend and i got to data hive before we stopped during our first session but yes coastal highway is actually one of the hardest LASO levels in the series even though its the easiest LASO halo game
Coastal Highway was whiplash after not even having to use Silver’s guides for the majority of the game. God, the amount of cheese we had to do to keep the stupid escort alive.
16:30 Unless it changes on LASO, whenever I'm playing on Legendary, going around the back of the area (on the opposite side as the wraiths, where you enter the segment) will get you a checkpoint a good amount of the time. Also banshees are really useful during the end of Tip of the Spear I know this advice won't be useful since you're already done, but maybe somebody else can use this advice
I'm doing a LASO (minus the blind skull, we don't hate ourselves that much) right now with my friends and it's super challenging but also fun. It makes me happy hearing you name things like the marine or "safety rock" or "attack rock" cause we do the same exact thing and I totally get it lmao
I know it hardly helps now, but for Exodus your best weapon is... the marines. They are great shots and have infinite ammo so you can load them up with power weapons and they help out a TON.
Fun fact: Although difficult, you can skip past the first wave of enemies on Nightfall using camouflage. Very difficult though but good legendary strategy imo.
A tip for anyone having trouble with no crosshair or doesnt want to put tape on your tv. If have a dual monitor setup you can download a png of a crosshair online and download obs and get it to record the monitor that has mcc on. then set up the crosshair to line up with where your gun is shooting. then just play off the obs window with the crosshair you put in. Hope this helps!
1:00 it’s always funny hearing the PAIN in every youtubers voice when they announce Raid Shadow Legends. Rocket Sloth will prob see this and laugh to but can’t like due to the sponsor 😂. It’s fine though, we understand the pain. I hope they pay good
Not sure how everyone else feels but Reach LASO was definitely one of the easier ones on a scale of I want to rip my eyes out and stamp on them (Halo 2) to well maybe I could rip my nails out in a nice way (Reach / ODST)
That is because Halo 2's base difficulty is already janky. Long story short they didn't have time to balance it right so they just cranked up the enemy aggression and accuracy really high.
I think it's cool that you guys are doing this. I'm trying to beat all the games on MCC and Halo 5 before Infinite comes out. I'm currently playing Halo 3 on heroic. I've already beaten the first 2. I will probably play all the others on easy to save time. Nice job and good luck. I love the channel. Edit: I wasn't able to beat them all in time but I beat Halo 3 the day before Christmas, and I got Halo Infinite for Christmas. Excited to play through it all.
Fun fact: the holdout area in Winter Contingency can change if you trigger the spawns in the wrong order. Super frustrating when this happens, because the usual holdout area is SOOOOOOOOOO much easier to, you know, hold out in...
I have beaten Halo Reach SLASO. Though i got lucky, i didn't had to do "Tip of the Spear" because of a glitch. In the playlist when it was supposed to load Tip of the Spear, the game load instead Winter Contigency. So i beat the first level again and game thought i did TotS. Was glad about it cuz i was afraid of the Falcon part. The hardest mission for me was Long night of Solace and im not talking about the Space Battle part. It was the hijacking part because it was hard to find cover and impossible to avoid battles there.
I think it's wild to hear someone say Winter contingency was easy compared to the upcoming missions. Dont get me wrong I know there's much harder moments in the later half of the story but Sword base and Long night were way easier than winter contingency imo
Also note for the dance studio it is easier to complete that area if you do the DJ easter egg as no Hunters will spawn. The package can also be made easier in coop for doing the "fly you fools" easter egg at the beginning of the mission. The banshees make it easier to do the goals without dealing with as many enemies attacking you as from the ground.

Yeah, we've done a couple of these ourselves, Winter Contingency, Long Night of Solace and New Alexandria! On Solace, we used the station as a shield to let our shields recharge, though I remember it feeling like, on the ship, once we took out one Ultra Elite, two more took his place! Then we had TWO Ship Commanders... We actually quit Exodus, jus before the rail shooting bit, sheer exhaustion getting the better of us, but on New Alexandria, with the hospital, I'd already picked up the Drop Shield and my mate was stuck down a level... so I dropped the shield in jus the right place and he used it for cover to jump up to the top floor where we then jus left! I soloed the Bug part, though! As he went to the main entrance, drawing their attention, I popped up behind them, taking them all completely unawares (I love doing that!), before heading in, the Drop Shield, yet again, being my best friend! By the way, there were only two of us doing this and on one 360 as part of Reach's Weekly Challenges, that's why we didn't do all of them! (That and we tried Nightfall, but gave it up as a bad job, unable to get the Forklift Trick to work... though, that was a different partner, the same guy, though, as Winter Contingency!)
There's a shotgun on the right walkways in the courtyard that you'll need. If you don't want to scuff up your monitor, try using two pieces of string to form a cross where your reticle would be We've never been able to get the despawn on at the observation point to work, so we just bombed the shit out of them with the OOB Banshee. Unfortunately there aren't any good guides for this, so you'll have to piece together some bad ones to figure out the route. We went with the Phantom Armor Lock method, which I found to be pretty consistent once I figured out where the kill barriers are. I'm thinking about making a video on this if it's still as obscure as when we did it On the Warthog crash you'll want to engage from the top of the cliffs which you can platform your way up to. This will make the Pelican show up sooner to give you fire support. See my video for the route Tenacious Trickocity has a way to skip the on rails section, which really sucks on Legendary. Their method also looks like a pain in the ass, but it's worth keeping in mind if you can't get past this You need a Banshee for the Spire assault. You can get one by jetpacking on top of the crane and luring the AI pilot in close. It's also possible to get him stuck in the rock trench, which we've done a couple times by accident, but haven't worked out a method to intentionally bait him in there. Take your pick You can get the Wraith on the left flank of the beach assault. Just follow Dim's route and there will be a series of walkways leading to it. You can't get it off the platform, so just mortar the enemies between you and the entrance. This is totally unnecessary, but you'll need to practice indirect fire for later sections, so get used to using it like this now In both interior sections with the Pelican you can get in the gunner seat. Just hunt around the nose for the interaction area and you'll figure it out. To give the gunner visibility, throw a grenade at the nose and break off the piece of the hull obstructing their vision Turning on the AA batteries with Duval is another opportunity to practice with the Wraith. There are good hiding spots around the beachheads Push your Falcon off the edge and call in a new one after every mission to regenerate its health. If you're taking too much fire in Sinoviet center you can also snipe the Brutes between the little beams on the sides where they can't hit you If the tank assault isn't working for you look up the Banshee easter egg. We tried dividing it up between air and ground, but the AA fire was incredibly thick and we had some really weird jank with teleports and barriers, so I don't recommend this strategy Underground wave defense - this is it, this is what we've been preparing for. Each player needs to fulfill a different role. First, you need to designate someone to make the initial turret run as fast as they can. Practice this on your own save so you can work out a route. You should be platforming through the rocks for most of this. Next, jetpack everyone up on the slanted black structure to the left of Noble's defensive line. This is your safe zone, they can't get you here. Consolidate your power weapons and designate someone to burn all the ammo against the Ghosts, which will absolutely laser beam you if you poke your head out too long. Whoever's been practicing with the Wraith needs to do this next part: When the Banshee comes in for a strafing run, steal it, and make a beeline for the Wraith at the end to steal that instead. The other player on top of the structure is the observer, who will coordinate fire with the Wraith. Some useful language is "short, far, left/right, and on target." Don't jump down until the last sword Elite is dead. Enjoy your community shrine easter egg as a reward You're gonna want to look up a speedrun for Pillar of Autumn. There's a building you need to platform over, a rocket launcher you need to carry through the entire mission, a Mongoose route you need to practice, and just a whole lot of really technical stuff. We found we could only get over the building by assigning a marksman to pick off the snipers in the right side tower, but you have to do a lot of strafing around to avoid getting mortared. Get ready to reset a *lot* of checkpoints here. I also found a way to platform past the the final Elite bosses, but we forgot to use it in the actual run. Might make a video on that one too. Don't forget to use the Laser to shoot the turrets off the Phantoms at the end Alright, I've got a new idea for Lone Wolf survival runs I want you guys to try. You have to wait behind the barrels for the Wraith to show up, snipe out the gunner, EMP it, sprint OOB so you steal it just as the effect wears off, and boost back in before it times you out. We were able to get it down to a little under a second, but could never quite make it. Let me know if you find a way to get it
Reach LASO pales in comparison to CE and 2 LASO. Me and my buds beat Halo Reach LASO in about two weeks, doing one mission per session. We managed to beat the first two levels of Halo CE before we reached the nightmare-inducing Truth and Reconciliation. We got stuck on the grav lift room and haven't managed to progress through it, even with the corridor camping strat. We haven't gone back to it since Infinite's MP released, but we're definitely dreading it.
Honestly I had very little trouble beating all of the campaigns Solo LASO. It might seem easier to have a teammate(s), but to me it makes it way more difficult. More people = more potential for mistakes, and the latency sounds miserable. I think you'd have way more success just doing this solo, but respect to you doing it with friends. Keep it up!!
The clips of you flying into objects in space then eventually your teammate have me crying because I know those were wipes 😭😭😭😭 nice job by the way this challenge is truly insanity. Glad to see you do it.
I enjoy watching y’all do these, I will never try this. Most of us can barely beat the games on legendary let alone these crazy challenges. If you’re about to tell how easy this stuff is, kill your ego first. It’s incredible hard no matter what strat you use, but as someone already mentioned, it’s impossible to LASO a game playing it normally.
wow, how did you even managed to dogfight in the space section without getting obliterated in 0.1 seconds? I had to hide behind anchor 9 because everyone was shooting lightning-ly fast Did they patch that?
As someone that did Reach’s LASO campaign recently, it’s not actually that difficult in co-op. That part took me probably an hour when I did my solo play through but when we did co-op on LASO we only had three deaths in the whole space sequence.
Did you play on PC? The higher your framerate, the faster the enemies shoot. It’s literally borderline impossible to do that mission without hiding behind the station on PC LASO.
@@221Prohunter yep, we were both playing on PC. And I actually just checked, my solo run took 2 hours total. I think our co-op time on LASO was 45 minutes or so.
I'm surprised you guys didn't do the nightclub song easter egg just to get all the brutes and grunts dancing making it just a quick and easy run into the club and disabling the jammer
You could actually just run past Nightfall on Legendary just fine. You just gotta be sneaky about it. See, that camo for solo gameplay is incredibly useful for sneaking around to some points enemies would never directly look at. However, on the 2nd section, the enemies you don't kill will just come to you so you have to act FAST and try to sneak pass that section quickly. They may notice but you'll leave the ultra in the dust as soon as he does notice. Then near the end you can do the forklift trick and de-spawn the end of the level. I've exploited this to a degree and beat the level in 9 minutes on Legendary, with 6 minutes to spare so I earned 7777 credits.
Good progress guys! I can only imagine how close you actually are now. All my friend and I have left are Halo 1 Truth and Reconciliation and on, Halo 2 Gravemind and on, and Halo 3 The Covenant and on. Feels good to have 3 Games down, even if they are the “easiest”
17:54 what? There's no engineer there. Why do they have extra shields??? Is the enemy layout somehow different on MCC? Cause I thought this was emulation. Nope, you can slipstream anything you want into a ROM. This is 343, a game studio capable of changing any single thing whether we like it or not. Reach is easier on 360 for the space fights alone but this is ridiculous.
If you have a Nvidia graphics card you can press alt z and then go into settings and there will be a crosshair option that overlay a crosshair onto the screen and you can customise it to you liking
As someone who can confidently do ODST LASO in under 3 hours and who plays ODST LASO casually I’ll say this: coastal highway is the biggest time sink in the entire game, the infinite rockets are definitely worth getting the checkpoints on that level ONLY work if ALL players go through the big doors SIMULTANEOUSLY, if you can get at least this one right Coastal highway shouldn’t be too annoying, best of luck :)
Sorry Rocket, I disagree a little with 0:28. ODST has imo no challenges in it that compare to halo 2 or CEs LASO. If anyone wants to attempt their first LASO run, that would be the game I would suggest.
the biggest issue with MCC is how framerate effect enemy AI agression, while LASO was doable when the enemy was restricted to 30FPS, on 60FPS or higher enemy on foot, and more of a glaring issue, long night of solace, the games are atleast twice as hard then they should be.
all the people who participated seem so fun to play with. i can imagine how frustrating yet so fun this would be. if my friends and I did this, we would just play around and kill each other to avoid losing sanity while doing laso. overall, this is impressive!

It also works on halo 3
It didn't work for me either in Halo 3 when I tried it a while back.
my mates and i discovered this during out own LASO runs of the halo games. by pure accident I got into a wraith gunner seat while an enemy was in it and the dude just hopped out. having wraiths in perfect condition is rather helpful

Whenever Tails joins and plays, luke goes "AFK", standing around, barely moving
It's like they never do anything at the same time...
Yea actually now that I think about it
Maybe he’s just got more important stuff to do, like… uh… I don’t know, as if there’s anything more important than halo.
Yep. It was a godsend when I found out about it and saved me from smashing my controller in rage
You two were lucky. Everytime I came into the room, the turret kept getting Naded before I could get to it. So I had to use George as a distraction as I meticulously assassinated each Elite one at a time.
Bro I did this on a 360 and the glitch is not there but it was still funny attempting this with my cousin 😂
@@Superunknown190 you can still get in that Pelican turret even if its not physically there
@@jacobfaubert4650 can’t shoot though, so it’s useless. George rarely if ever kills one of these elites on his own.
I am flat out impressed every time a new LASO video releases. You guys definitely earned my respect, most people would have given up long ago! This inspires me to do ODST and Reach solo legendary. I've already done Halo 1-3 solo legendary with no shortcuts or glitches👍
Solo legendary is fun, good luck!!!
(The start of gravemind is a pain in the ass though)
Keep in mind a few things, plasma pistol + DMR best combo for elites, if you get a shotgun stick to it specially for jackals, and in the package the best thing that you can do for a solo run at the last fire fight is getting a plasma pistol, a dmr, and a jet pack, use the dmr to bait banshees, the plasma pistol to freeze them and the jet pack to fly and hijack them
@@megyumiyoshi1062 wow thank you for the advice! I look forward to the challenge 😎 I will definitely screenshot this and use it👍
@@megyumiyoshi1062 Personally I would never keep a shotgun for jackals, they can be so easily killed at a distance by just shooting their hand then head.
For me it’s “interesting, the weather patterns appear natural, not artificial…”
@@jacobfaro9571
Look out!
for anyone trying to do LASO, I highly recommend doing the "beat the entire campaign on legendary in under 3 hours" achievement first, and look up speed runs of the game.
I'm hoping the speedrun achievements will be a bunch of jokes after I finish off the last few lasos
for sure, used a lot of speedrun strats that made this much more bearable
This is the way. Beat Reach in under 3 hours, 2 weeks later I beat LASO
those last elites are absolutely, unapologetically ruthless on LASO you couldn't be more right
Back in the day when Reach first released, most of the laso levels could be easily beaten by either sprinting through them or finding a nice safe spot and forcing your ai teammates to do all the work. At least that's how I beat it back then, not to say it was easy because it sure as fuck wasn't. It took tons of enemy spawn memorization and memorization of their pathing but once you knew those two things it wasn't that bad.
I really hope you the best of luck with these challenges, cus I am definitely not doing these myself

Strange how it's obviously happening in this video and they don't mention anything at all 🤔
@@bork750 They mentioned something about the video quality being off somewhere in this video, but didn't mention specifics. I think this might be it.
@Filip This is an Xbox Series X glitch mostly from what I can tell. Happened to me as I mentioned. It could very well be a driver issue on PC though.
@Filip Plus on the MCC, this glitch only affects Reach. Every other game in the same collection works as intended.
I recently started my simple legendary run through of the halo campaigns I started with Reach first and geez I wanted to quit several times. The hardest missions isn’t even Long Night of Solace. It’s the last mission since you don’t get any precision weapons when holding off the brutes while waiting for Keyes.
I agree
Legendary reach is easy i solo do it under 3h
Tails is always my favorite character, when he left after Winter Contingency he was probably downloading Halo 3: ODST 🌞
343 needs to release a Tails skin
Blind would have been really cool if it got rid of everything on your HUD, but the fact that it gets rid of your gun model makes it CBT
Reminds me of playing the first Ghost recon game on Xbox. No weapon models just a reticle and a health bar.
It's obviously almost impossible to come up with unique Halo content but I just wanted to say that your videos stand out. They are well edited, good commentary and interesting.

Respect to you guys for cranking these all out.
Best and worst for me was the package. The section with the invisible elites was truly awful (I think that took a solid day or so?) But the part after that was great.
Oh god, the landing platform on the Pillar of Autumn (sorry, got the level wrong)
being chased by a brute with a plasma launcher for 30 minutes of constant checkpoint reloading where you're in that small shotgun closet on the lower platform and having just enough time to get one shot with a shotgun because I had no ammo.
It was fucking luck that I managed to dodge the blast and survive on my winning attempt.
on-rails pelican part in co-op is :(
@@doublem1354 I think I ended up killing the gravity hammer brute in melee.
@Erwi Dobi I assure you, it sucks in single player, too.
The safety rock sounds like something you'd give your friend to hold when they are tripping too hard on mushrooms
Was a while ago, but was really cool to see you guys hop into my reach laso stream when we went for it, was a good moral booster
"Pepper your shots." Oh boy does that brings memories to Halo Completionist's guide to Reach LASO
That trick is what convinced me that reach laso is easy. I beat it despite not having the accuracy needed to pepper elites with the plasma pistol; I'd just get around behind them and use melee.
ah yes the co-op player always has that hidden Delay skull on which makes LASO way harder than it already is.
I did this LASO solo thanks to the solo save exploit and Silver’s guides. He’s an absolute legend.
I did this too with certain laso weekly challenges
What's the solo save exploit. Is that the revert the last save kinda by quickly ending the game when you die i.e. go back to xbox dashboard and press 'Continue SLASO'' playthrough. I believe I did this back in 2014-2015 for Halo CE, got stuck on Truth and Reconcilliation and never went back since.
@@jamesteranov5978 yeah. Once you die you leave the game and load it back up and everything is fine again.
the amount of creativity possible with combat is so cool, most fps games don't have that much variation with strategy in campaigns, even great campaigns like Titanfall 2. you can choose different ways to shoot, but thats pretty much it. in multiplayer theres usually a ton more variation, especially with fast movement, but Halo seems to capture that in a singleplayer or co-op experience
You know this video is perfect becuase the gauss hog firing syncs up with the beat in the background at 9:32 and AGAIN at 10:00
Honestly, recently me and my brother started a LASO marathon, so Reach to Halo 4.
Good lord props to you man 😁
Saladin's weakest Iron Lord
Best of luck with the rest of the achievements. I've only got 9 left of them myself, 2 of which are ce and halo 4 laso
“Dim had the bright idea” is a funny sentence
the way you guys did the underbelly of the building 15:34 was a lot more of a higher chance of dying than just sticking to the right wall
Props to you guys for the willing to do this ;)
I think it's because of the immense satisfaction people get after overcoming the enemies.
Some people just like challenging themselves.
Personally I've played most of the campaigns so much (halo 5 excluded) that legendary isn't a challenge, and LASO gave me the chance to learn a whole new way to play.
@@iwhbydbadbmotf8915 dang, nice! I've managed to beat Streets of Rage 4 on Mania+, all S's (if you try it, practice on Mania first)

Unless it changes on LASO, whenever I'm playing on Legendary, going around the back of the area (on the opposite side as the wraiths, where you enter the segment) will get you a checkpoint a good amount of the time.
Also banshees are really useful during the end of Tip of the Spear
I know this advice won't be useful since you're already done, but maybe somebody else can use this advice

I actually beat it LASO back on 360 when they did the weekly challenges. Soooo much rage!
Damn it Rocket! Now I must do this challenge myself. I mean... I already cry myself to sleep, why not add something else to that list?
Fun fact: Although difficult, you can skip past the first wave of enemies on Nightfall using camouflage. Very difficult though but good legendary strategy imo.
A tip for anyone having trouble with no crosshair or doesnt want to put tape on your tv.
If you want to reduce latency, you can get hamachi on your PC, connect to one persons IP, then play LAN. But again, it’s PC only.

Glad to know I'm not the only one having that screen glitch bug in reach mcc after the last update.
Now this is dope that you guys putting another one out this soon
Fun fact: the holdout area in Winter Contingency can change if you trigger the spawns in the wrong order. Super frustrating when this happens, because the usual holdout area is SOOOOOOOOOO much easier to, you know, hold out in...
I read this as this just happened to me on a legendary run in playing atm
Can confirm Dim knows how to carry a campaign! Good luck on your remaining LASOs!

Your commitment to this is astounding
Rocket sloth: the only halo lasos we have left are halo 3 and ODST
Halo 4 laso: 🥺
They have done it but haven’t done a video about it
There's a shotgun on the right walkways in the courtyard that you'll need. If you don't want to scuff up your monitor, try using two pieces of string to form a cross where your reticle would be
We've never been able to get the despawn on at the observation point to work, so we just bombed the shit out of them with the OOB Banshee. Unfortunately there aren't any good guides for this, so you'll have to piece together some bad ones to figure out the route. We went with the Phantom Armor Lock method, which I found to be pretty consistent once I figured out where the kill barriers are. I'm thinking about making a video on this if it's still as obscure as when we did it
On the Warthog crash you'll want to engage from the top of the cliffs which you can platform your way up to. This will make the Pelican show up sooner to give you fire support. See my video for the route
Tenacious Trickocity has a way to skip the on rails section, which really sucks on Legendary. Their method also looks like a pain in the ass, but it's worth keeping in mind if you can't get past this
You need a Banshee for the Spire assault. You can get one by jetpacking on top of the crane and luring the AI pilot in close. It's also possible to get him stuck in the rock trench, which we've done a couple times by accident, but haven't worked out a method to intentionally bait him in there. Take your pick
You can get the Wraith on the left flank of the beach assault. Just follow Dim's route and there will be a series of walkways leading to it. You can't get it off the platform, so just mortar the enemies between you and the entrance. This is totally unnecessary, but you'll need to practice indirect fire for later sections, so get used to using it like this now
In both interior sections with the Pelican you can get in the gunner seat. Just hunt around the nose for the interaction area and you'll figure it out. To give the gunner visibility, throw a grenade at the nose and break off the piece of the hull obstructing their vision
Turning on the AA batteries with Duval is another opportunity to practice with the Wraith. There are good hiding spots around the beachheads
Push your Falcon off the edge and call in a new one after every mission to regenerate its health. If you're taking too much fire in Sinoviet center you can also snipe the Brutes between the little beams on the sides where they can't hit you
If the tank assault isn't working for you look up the Banshee easter egg. We tried dividing it up between air and ground, but the AA fire was incredibly thick and we had some really weird jank with teleports and barriers, so I don't recommend this strategy
Underground wave defense - this is it, this is what we've been preparing for. Enjoy your community shrine easter egg as a reward
You're gonna want to look up a speedrun for Pillar of Autumn. Don't forget to use the Laser to shoot the turrets off the Phantoms at the end
Alright, I've got a new idea for Lone Wolf survival runs I want you guys to try. You have to wait behind the barrels for the Wraith to show up, snipe out the gunner, EMP it, sprint OOB so you steal it just as the effect wears off, and boost back in before it times you out. We were able to get it down to a little under a second, but could never quite make it. Let me know if you find a way to get it
Can't wait to see you guys 100 percent this game, I'm rooting for ya!
You guys are the best man never stop these videos!
Times like these... Naked Eli comes in clutch.

@@Omega4Productions same except solo
@@Fermi_Consistency I’d do it solo if the achievement required it, but thankfully it doesn’t. No way I’m suffering through LASO alone, lol.
@@Omega4Productions Yeah same but solo as well, ToR is hell
Honestly I had very little trouble beating all of the campaigns Solo LASO. It might seem easier to have a teammate(s), but to me it makes it way more difficult. More people = more potential for mistakes, and the latency sounds miserable. I think you'd have way more success just doing this solo, but respect to you doing it with friends. Keep it up!!
I can feel a huge amount of growth coming when infinite fully comes out
I remember doing all the vidmaster and laso challenges. Getting the recon and hayabusa armor was a battle worth fighting.
I had to hide behind anchor 9 because everyone was shooting lightning-ly fast
Did they patch that?
Probably they had a lucky scene
you can hide behind the station most of the fight and you can kill the phantoms pretty easy by going really far under them
As someone that did Reach’s LASO campaign recently, it’s not actually that difficult in co-op.
19:50 Oof, that must hurt.
luv ur vids
congrats on completing reach :)
Having beaten all the lasos(it was so hard) These videos make me laugh so much. Y’all are almost there! Push
I’m amazed it’s not lagging. edit nvm they explained. still though even the host gets lag and frame drops when I play campaign with friends XD
What I got out of this video: DimEntree was the MVP of Reach LASO and needs a pay raise, and Tails continues to be a cryptid. :D
In halo reach I was struggling with one elite on normal mode lol
Imma check this thank you so much
As someone who can confidently do ODST LASO in under 3 hours and who plays ODST LASO casually I’ll say this: coastal highway is the biggest time sink in the entire game,
the infinite rockets are definitely worth getting
the checkpoints on that level ONLY work if ALL players go through the big doors SIMULTANEOUSLY, if you can get at least this one right Coastal highway shouldn’t be too annoying, best of luck :)
Me before the video: So it’ll be Luke, Eli, Dim, and then Tails but he’ll leave for some weird reason part way through
…..and called it
Laso:you have no HUD
The person with tape and a marker: You under estimate my power
Tail's is the hero Rocket Sloth deserves, but not the one it needs right now, so we'll hunt him. Because he can take it, because he's not a hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector, a Dark Knight.
the raid Ad ends at 2:12
Still trying to complete Reach on legendary. It's tough my guy.
Solo reach legendary is brutal. I can't imagine doing it on LASO. The name for the achievement seems appropriate
@@HumbleHonkingEnthusiast reach SLASO isn't too bad it was easier than 3 imo
Bruh what reach legendary is actually easy
@@GeeWee700 For you, it might seem. But, I'm somewhat of a casual player, but not really. Somewhat in between casual and pro. Like, I'm more of a experienced player at most.
@@MvAJambi noob combo, power weapons, peak using cover, hit and run tactics. Look up a guide honestly. Its what 12 year old me did. A really good tip: on the mission where you go back to Sword Base, orient the Scorpion so that the body is reversed and less of it sticks out from cover.
I’ve done Halo reach LASO, let me tell you. Halo reach don’t mess around. Thank god for people like silver and his guides.
