We all approach the line in different ways some of us stand afar and simply look at the line others of us will get very very close to the line but man can control... And some of us will cross the line and run headlong into the wilderness... Unfortunately this is where the truth is found in the wanderings and ponderings of a man This is where Christ draws you to himself... So while the better advice may be better not to mess with something that's poisonous...The true advice is learn to control that which Christ has liberated you to enjoy without addiction... This is a hard balance to strike most fall to one side or the other but those who are truly enlightened can walk in the balance of the son.
How close to the line can I get to gluttony .do I have gut and dont drink? Dont get close to the line on either. but it's ok to eat and drink not glutton and drunk. Drunkness and heart disease not good. I definitely need to loose some weight. Psalms 104 15 And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man's heart.

If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men: 15 But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee. 16 And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.
I was delivered from alcohol, my limit is none!
You are exactly right - it affects the entire family. My dad died very young from alcoholism. It affected every single member of the family.

Alcohol truly has no place.in my life ... its not edifying in my walk with Christ ... same with secular music
