    Brilliant! Go through two-octave for all Major scales, Ab, A, Bb, B, C, Db, D, Eb, E, F, Gb(F#), G, with one PATTERN. I will introduce Bushkova's PATTERN SCALES to my granddaughter. She has already practiced two-octave scale in A Major with this hand PATTERN. Next month will be her 4th birthday. I can't imagine how fast she will go through all those scales. I have to spend lot of time to explain to her why there are so many "b"s and "#"s on the music sheet. Thank you so much Professor Bushkova!

    You can also do minor scales (natrual and melodic) with this and believe me this is super useful. I have been teaching my students this at class for years.

    I've been playing the guitar for almost 8 years (i am 21 years old now) and i decided to pick up the violin to learn, and i am so excited to put my hands on one, i am watching all your videos so i can have an idea and try to compare the fingering and the techniques with the eletric guitar. Thank you for this video, i am really happy that the violin has patterns that are kinda similar to the guitar hahaha

    I having a problem playing in G major 3 octave scale my fingers can't curved like your styles in edge of finger board when I go higher position how to do correctly?

    • @ViolinClassUSA
      @ViolinClassUSA  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on your hand size and structure and your fingers' lengths. Some people would look different form others. The main thing is to be able to move the fingers freely.

    Ecuse me, Prof. What is the main difference between to starting scales with first or second finger, in practice?

    • @ViolinClassUSA
      @ViolinClassUSA  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sometimes in the music we play, we have to start a scale with the first finger; other times - with the second... I do not understand your question....

    What are some of the benefits of these scales? How does it apply to playing music in general (not just playing scales)? Thank you!

    • @prashantkrishnan9022
      @prashantkrishnan9022 ปีที่แล้ว

      Since most of music is based on scales, you can use these finger configurations to play many songs.

    anywhere I can see a diagram of all the hand positions?

    • @ViolinClassUSA
      @ViolinClassUSA  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You can Google-search and you will probably find something. However, for learning-to-play purposes, I would not recommend using any diagrams. Since we play by feel and the sound, what I am showing in the video is much more constructive than any visual aid.

    • @sculean
      @sculean 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ViolinClassUSA I took my fingering place holders off yesterday actually. I'm going to take your advice and learn to play more by feel and sound than visually

    • @ViolinClassUSA
      @ViolinClassUSA  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The patterns really work in a passage. You can try to do it in arpeggios, of course, but I do not think you would get the benefits
