Fabulous 20Km Long Pune Metro Inaugural Journey - Underground & Elevated Ride From Ruby Hall To PCMC

Today 01/08/2023, Pune Metro route extension has been inuagurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. I had done a journey from Ruby Hall Clinic Metro Station to PCMC Metro Station Via Civil Court Metro Station.
Journey From Ruby Hall To Civil Court Interchange Station, you will get a great elevated view of Pune Railway Station and its yard, then going over Sangam Bridge.
Since I had to go to PCMC station, I had to get down at Civil Court station, take elevators atleast 6 floors and board a seperate train from Underground Civil Court Metro station to PCMC. From Civil Court to PCMC, Only Civil Court and Shivajinagar are underground metro stations, then elevated stretch starts from underconstruction Range Hills Metro station to PCMC.

Now that Pune and PCMC are connected and Vanaz to Pune Station is connected, the ridership should improve.

Yes it should improve and should further improve when extended till Ramwadi and Swargate by October or year end

Thats fine but Mumbai is sadly overpopulated and even metro journeys will be overcrowded like local trains only. Already metro should have started more than a decade back

how was the rake/coach quality compared to others? What company is manufacturing them?
Do the stations have eateries/fast food?
How is the security?
Is there coach reserved for women?

Thanks a lot. Rakes are manufactured at Titlagarh. Coach was top class and great in acceleration and ac cooling was moderate not high at all. No eateries at metro stations. Security is also alert at ticket counters, baggage scanning areas and also at platforms. No coach reserved for women since its a 3coach metro train

Thanks a lot. Yes you can travel but you have to get down at Civil Court Underground Metro station , take 4 escalators for going to Elevated Civil Court station and from there you need to take Vanaz Metro.

Titagarh Wagons is the company of the metro rakes. they look good however , they might need to work on the exterior body look and design shape to make the rakes more aesthetically beautiful

Proposed metro extension is approved. Vanaz to Chandni chowk extension, pcmc to nigdi, Swargate to khadakwasla to Hadapsar to kharadi and also extension from Ramwadi to wagholi

Dear who told you. On Saturday 53000 pass used it and Sunday 96000 used it. Weekdays 35000 used it post inauguration. Earlier it was failed project with 4000 pass daily

PMC spend hundreds of crores on BRT few years back. Simply wasted tax payers money. It was not a success.just reduced width of road for normal traffic .
Each bus stop costed approx 50 lacs and they are in ruins now.
Hope this Metro is a success.

There is nothing wrong in giving dedicated route for buses but with overpopulation and more people buying private cars is ruining it. If Metro becomes a success, traffic jams can be reduced a bit especially on Chinchwad route
