Kudos to Wanda! I "discovered" this show but a week ago and I'm enjoying show after show now :D So far, Wanda Sykes is the most impressive guest. She actually eats those wings, not just nibbling them and makes a fuzz about it. That lady is tough as nails and funny as hell!

My respect for Sean as an interviewer has increased even higher than it already was. She verbally & literally tapped out at 11:55 and yet he masterfully showed her the open door for her to exit while covertly encouraging her to continue without actually saying so, and you saw the results (9 extra minutes of it). Even had her dab the last wing, where his reverse psychology "you don't have to if you don't want to" is usually the main example. He could probably sell bottled water to a drowning man, at this point! lol Major props, sir.

This fell into my feed for some reason, 6 years after it aired. Somehow I have never seen this episode. I love Wanda, and it was good to see her power through, but it was even better to look back at a simpler time with just the one table. All the years in between though have given rise to the following - SYKES - RUFFIN 2024!
I saw too many positive comments for Wanda but she deserves at least one more. As abrasive as her comedy can/should be, she was always funny and truthful.

Eh...that is faulty logic, comedy can be funny and truthful while also challenging us to think, the issue is that people lowered the bar regarding respect in entertainment for comedians and this allowed a lot of inappropriate behaviour or language in comedy. This is why a lot of people are challenging a shift, too many people tend to glorify unhealthy notions of entertainment when we should be upholding ALL people, comedians as well, to a high level of respect and morals in everything we do.
