At the end of the clip when they show the crown being placed on a head for the second time, it is not footage of the Crowning from the 1953 Coronation. It is in fact footage from the Coronation of King George VI in 1937, and the woman being crowned was the late Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother; who was the beloved mother of our current Queen

The British monarchy today doesn’t have any political power. The royals don’t vote. But that would’ve been crazy if she became Queen as a teenager. 25 is still very young to be thrust into that role and that much responsibility.

bubbzmakeup The Heralds would have proclaiomed that. This goes back to the days when following the death of a king but before a successor had been crowned there was a period called the "inter regnum" when effectively the country had no ruler and it was frequently a period of lawlessness. The custom then arose that on the death of a sovereign his or her successor was immediately proclaimed. The new king/queen succeeding the moment the old king or queen died.

God bless and keep the Queen. She has been a wonderful, steadfast, excellent sovereign and woman. She still is, and her natural goodness and honesty shine through every time her face breaks into a smile. Compare that with the plastic posing and grimacing of so-called celebrities who have little integrity and no concept of duty or of returning something to the people that adulate them and place them on their pedestals of plaster..

Equality under law under historical Japan would be hard to compare as they had the Way of Bushido, but ultimately they all lived by that. There are even stories of corpses being put on trial such strict care was put on the way of thinking. It may no correlate to contemporary thought, but they lived by it equally. Consider the case of the account of the "Forty Seven Ronin"

I think with EU, Britain will have to make up it's mind to fully join it or not, politically &, that will be it's end, unless somehow it's already been provided for some legal structures in Bryssel to allow them to continue. Elizabeth II's death shouldn't just be used to fill space in the media. It should remind us why monarchy is helpful, in general, and why monarchy shouldn't be used as real-life soap opera.
The achievement of the British monarchy should become clearer in comparison with the histories of other countries. In the 19th & 20th centuries the U.S.A, France, Germany, Russia, Italy, Spain and Greece suffered in various ways civil wars, political storms, and dictatorships. This shows what can go wrong in the absence of a head of state which is above politics, and which opposes illegal dictatorship. If there are many reasons England, Wales, and Scotland have had no civil war since Culloden in 1746, having a constitutional monarchy to unify all the people is an important reason. In the UK, 'peace' in formal speech is "The King's Peace".
Of course Prince Andrew must disappear from public life; King Charles III's first marriage was a tragic mistake; Prince Philip could be tactless. But whatever mistakes the royal family have made, let us be grateful for the unity the monarchy gives in the UK & the world. By stabilizing Britain & the commonwealth (e.g. Canada & Australia), it promotes peace in the world. The sea around it didn't protect the U.S.A. against civil war in the 1860s, and the UK could have suffered civil war over slavery in the 19th century; likewise over world war, loss of empire, economic failure, or race in the 20th. There will always be violence and political problems in the world, and billions of people who know or understand nothing of the British monarchy and the stability it brings. Since the 1700s, billions of people have lived under the British crown without civil war, lynching, dictatorship in their lives. God save King Charles III, and his successors.
