And actually, the government does not care for whether the undocumented immigrant should be guaranteed a path to freedom or not. It is not about deserving. It is hard and expensive to become a citizen even if you have the cleanest record. I know many people have been in this country for twenty plus years. They have always paid their taxes and they have very clean records, but even after spending tens of thousands of dollars on immigration forms, they are still unable to attain citizenship. The process is a lot more complicated than people against immigration reform make it out to be.

It’s like those old style online degrees that cost 100k - then the grads couldn’t get a job b/c the school wasn’t accredited, they were not qualified...etc. Sad part is-many times- the students don’t even realize how poor their education was/is.
