She became DA of SF -- where she suggested putting the parents of school children with truancy problems behind bars (kids of color, of course) -- by the slimmest of margins by the people who run the city: UNIONS. She became AG of California for the same reason. As AG, she defied a Supreme Court order of reducing the number in her over-crowded prison system by releasing non-violent prisoners early. Why? She didn't want to release them because of the impact it would have to her free labor (slavery) prison work force.

Yeah I think they are paid an awesome salary as they get more time off than almost any other profession and their retirement is really good also it's not physical hard work at all teachers just hand kids a packet if you've been to school in any recent years you would not have this opinion

Perhaps if boards of education actually allowed students to fail and have consequences for not studying, teachers would have more of a reason to care. Not to mention having to pay for school supplies, students with zero attention span, parents who don't discipline their child and blame teachers for DARING to instruct students, not being allowed to make tests too difficult, and as of recently in many places, not being allowed to assign full book projects anymore. Teacher's hands are INCREDIBLY tied and restricted in what they can do and how they can teach it.
I plead you. Actually learn why teachers are quitting in mass. Learn what's wrong with the education system from the teachers themselves instead of assuming things. There's always another side to the story, and as an educator it's clear you're missing it.
I'm legitimately sorry if you never had a teacher who cared. Teachers who care about their job and the future are a gift. They can truly change your life and they get absolutely zero support to do it.
