Hotspot and Captive Portal with Omada - The easy way!

Does TP Link have a separate Omada Hotspot Manager android app? I only see the Omada android app but it doesn't have a hotspot manager.

Sure you can just as with Unifi set bandwith for the userts very easily as well as block them based on traffic.

Guest network will just limit access from the client's side wo it will not be able to browse your devices.

Hi, the controller is optional, and you can always run the free version controller (www.tp-link.com/us/support/download/omada-software-controller/ ) in your PC, or the App for a quick AP setup. You can also run it in a hardware version like the Omada controller OC 200 or 300: amzn.to/4bNjCjU

Hey there. I keep get certificate errors when using the ip with https for the captive portal. How do I set it to my reverse proxy address client address so the cert works and I don't get a warning from the client OS? The hostname is registered in DNS so it just needs to hit that endpoint and it will get a valid cert for the controller/portal

Can I plug the 2 or more AEP on my ISP router and use the cloud based controller? There is no need for OC200, gateways & switch.

That is the objective of the cloud controller, no on site equipment like the oc200/300. Of course just like camera cloud deployments it has advantages and disadvantages. No switch necessary, nor Omada gateway.

You said no need of Omada Gateways then can you show how to configure DHCP service so that users can get IP addresses without the presence of any Omada Gateway. Also I have EAP 110 and I configured all the process but the problem is that the clients aren't getting up addresses and also they can't be directed to the authentication portal

Hi, there always needs to be a gateway in your network and a DHCP server, usually both roles are played by either by your own router (such as an er605 from Omada) or by your ISP's router. What we meant by not necessarily an Omada router is that you can use the router/DHCP of your choice.

Good afternoon sir I like to help me here about my Oc200 and desk switch i trying to set up my HOTSPOT at home try to make a small business but not my HOTSPOT turn to friendly with devices never ask me a voucher just connecting auto but before ask me a voucher nothing did wrong since i set up by myself using my phone when comes to pc notthing show me my EAP225 also oc200 tell what must do😢😢😢😢😢😢😢am here in South Africa

It most likely seems to bee that you configured dual authentication in your server. In "Authentication Type", then "Type", under your "Portal Configuration" make sure you have checked what you need.. Also check that you do not have Pre- Authentication Access enabled.

later on i change my mind after i putting solid picture instead puy own i started rest try to make like people piso hotspot lucky i found the way how to set up using computer but before i using cellphone in mind dislike things makes by cellphone i like pc i did well using pc now i can putting whatever i want even background picture also icon on top of my background pic now i enjoying my hotspot as we chatting right now am waiting my sim card contract has 2TB of data i want to eating people's money to my neighborhood cause no one's knowing how to do business using this stuff am the one like Jet Li thank you sir i like you here in South Africa I supporting your channel here on TH-cam keep it up teaching us around the world ❤😂😂❤
