Very pretty. Actual gluesticks work much better with this thin vellum paper than those little glue rollers. Same with the small details on some of the cut-outs you have.
I really love the color combinations you chose. I am starting my first bullet journal and decided to go with a gothic Ravenclaw vibe. Black/Blue, Florals, Astronomy... 🥰
Thank you so much! I love your inspiration choice, that's going to be beautiful. I'm going to have a Slytherin inspired spread later on in mine that I'm super excited about! I hope you have an amazing time designing your journal this year. :)
This is my first year doing a reading journal and yours is SO NICE!! I am going to stick with my lower efforts version of this for now, but next year….👀
FANTASTIC. I haven't started work on my journal for 2025 yet, and this has given me several ideas to include. Rather wonderfully, I have the same set of cheeky black cat stickers. I love them!
NOW I know where all of your girliness went. 😜 Very pretty & organised - makes my reading journal look like just a notebook, which, well… I guess it is.
The whole point of a journal or notebook is to make it work for you, no matter what it looks like! 🥰 Thanks for watching, Matt! I like flowers, just not wearing them 😂😂
Beautiful bujo! ❤ love that blue floral washii tape. I did the same thing! I added 4 stars when there should've been only 3. I was just trucking along and whoops! 😅 and I misspelled monthly as monthley 🤦♀️ o well, those little mistakes is what makes the bujo yours. BTW, my bookclub is doing a Robin Hobb backlist challenge this year. Reading all her works, starting with the Farseer trilogy and ending with Fitz and the Fool trilogy. We might be reading the Tawny Man at the same time!
Thank you so much! I've been waiting to use that blue floral for months XD I hope you have an awesome time with Tawny Man, and it would be super cool if we end up reading it at the same time! :D
Hi Tori, I'm a new subscriber and enjoyed your process video for setting up your reading journal for 2025. I love Archer & Olive journals and have used them for several years for reading and creative journaling. I'm anxious to see what you come up with for your monthly layout format. For the Tim Holtz vellum sheets, you might try brushing on gesso, apply the sheet, and then brush on gesso over the vellum. The gesso will dry clear and you'll have smooth edges. Tim Holtz has gesso, so you should be able to find it at your local craft store. Anyway, love your setup, and I look forward to following along with you as you work through your reading challenges. =)
@@ToriTalks2 I love the 8x8, especially for tracking book reads and reviews, Kdrama shows, etc. For my daily creative journal, this year I have been using an Archer & Oliver B5, and I'll use a B5 for 2025--actually two since I know I'll need two journals to cover the year. BTW, I am digging their new designs they just announced on Friday. Are any of the designs calling out to you?
Wow, this turned out so cool! Thanks for sharing, Tori! Im excited to see the journal get filled with awesome reads this coming year 🔥 PS, I appreciate seeing Riven Earth on the priority reads hehe 😊
I do a lot of Bible study, so the minute I saw the 8x8 A&O dot grid journal, I instantly saw it as the perfect layout for verse mapping. I haven't received it yet, but as soon as it shows up, I have several verses I have lined up to do. I'm so excited about getting started in it. I'm new to the world of journaling and planning, so I bought several sticker books over Black Friday that will help me decorate the pages. The fact that it's not dated also works for me because this part of my Bible study is not routine. A monthly planner with extra note pages inserted will likely be what I will use for regular lessons. I am also going to keep track of my Bible reading, using regular A5 rings with lined paper. I found some sticker sheets that will allow me to write all of the books of the Bible on and use the notebook to stay on top of my daily reading and coloring the completed book.
What a lovely journal! Good ‘ole Archer & Olive, Hobby Lobby and Tim Holtz for the win! I ditched my beloved Archer & Olive journals this year and created my own junk journal, so we’ll see how that goes! 😋. Thanks for sharing! 💚
@ It’s Okay to Not Be Okay is a great modern drama, and My Country The New Age is my favorite historical drama. Both on Netflix! Thank you for watching!
@@ToriTalks2can you share your favorites??? I adore kdramas but so many start off great then plateau for me. I'm not sure if it's because they need to fill a certain amount of episodes but I get frustrated with the loss of focus to the main story. I see manwhas do this too.
I love how elegant and sleek your designs are. We have very different styles of decorating our reading journals haha! th-cam.com/video/6Zz5bOMuEno/w-d-xo.html My biggest problem is finding time to work on it and add new pages throughout the year. Maybe adopting a more simplistic style would help me stay on top of it. Thank you for the video and the creative inspiration!
The sound that came out of my mouth when you started describing that Lord of the Rings page. I muted, so I have no idea what you said about it, but as someone reading it for the first time (and never watched the movies) please don't spoil things on your voice-overs... or maybe you didn't and this comment is silly! Then I'm very sorry!😂Beautiful setup tho!
Hey there! Sorry to startle you. :) The moment I mention very briefly in this commentary is hardly a spoiler for anything out of context, and while I realize not everyone has read LOTR, it's an old enough story that a detail that small isn't an issue for me to include. I'm glad you enjoyed the setup!
Not to be 'that person' but the movies have been around for 20 years. The book itself 70 years. Both are well entrenched in the cultural psyche. It is not at all okay to expect people to not say anything about them. There is a limit to that courtesy, and it's well under 70 years.
@ToriTalks2 sorry Tori that comment (diluted) was for a different video entirely,, not sure how it ended up on here on your video,! I have watched your 2025 reading journal a few times and I am just besotted with it 🥰🥰🥰
Very pretty.

I’m definitely adding a glue stick to the toolbox for the next round!
Amazing job, Tori! You're so creative and your reading journal is beautiful. I can't wait to see your additions throughout the year. 😍
Thank you so much!
This is drop dead gorgeous. Lightyears beyond my creative capacity (I am negative percentage crafty) but so, so beautiful.
I basically just stick stuff to the page until I’m happy with it 😂 thank you for watching!
That is why there are stickers and pretty pictures and glue!!!

Thank you so much! A lot of the removed audio had kitty yowls in the background XD
Your journal turned out so pretty 😍
Thank you!

I think easing into a more involved process is smart, honestly. I kind of dabbled for a couple years before committing on this one!
So beautiful! Wow! Thanks for sharing this with us 😊

Beautiful ❤ I am actually welling up, that is such a lovely idea ❤❤❤
I’m so glad you liked it!
Beautiful journal! A tip for the Tim Holtz floral tissue paper - use a glue stick. 🙂
Brilliant! I thought of that almost immediately after I finished all the spreads 😂😂😂Next time I will work smarter 🙌🏻

This video was perfectly timed. I just sat down to do my own journal.
Awesome! I hope you have a lovely time creating 🥰
Was fun to find your channel. I do a lot of journaling as well on my channel. 😊 I would recommend mat medium for the thin collage papers. 😊
Thanks so much! I’ll look into that. Happy journaling! 🥰
Beautiful journal and setup, Tori! 😍

Beautiful journal. What size are your book covers?
The small ones are 2x3 cm! Thank you so much for watching. :)
DNF's...did not finish?
Yep! Exactly.
Gah i wish i had a colored printer!
What's a kdrama?
A Korean TV show! I prefer them to most Western shows. Typically done in one or two seasons, almost always character focused.🔥

Diluted, that's what it struck me as...good book but not great, which isn't really a critique, good is good!!
I’m not making it to impress anyone. :) Just sharing my creativity. The book isn’t for anyone else.
